The 2024 Presential polling average chart is up and running. The gap shown is the average gap of the last seven polls (a few states are not to seven yet). Unlike RCP where they just average all recent polls including stale ones, the HHR aggregator formula weights the polls based on age, with the newest getting 25% of the share. Here are the share values, newest to oldest: 25, 20, 17, 14, 11, 8, 5. This design also allows for handling obvious rescue polls that are way outside the general consensus. This happens frequently with partisan pollsters. In these instances, even though the poll is new, it can be assigned a smaller share of the weighting, thus avoiding wild swings in the gap between the two candidates. Suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Is there any doubt that any Republican who might be persuaded by anything coming from Liz Cheney is already voting for Nikki Haley?
How does it work that a Liz Cheney endorsement results in a net gain of support for Nikki Haley among Republicans?
On balance, wouldn’t you expect more current Nikki Haley supporters, and now undecided Ron DeSantis supporters, to react negatively to a show of support from Liz Cheney given the past 3 years — for any candidate with an “R” after their name?

– DeSantis wins lawsuit Disney filed against him
– DeSantis hands out 4,000th law enforcement bonus
– DeSantis admin bans gender identity from driver’s licenses
– DeSantis backed a bill to send Florida State Guard to Texas in its effort to secure the border
– DeSantis backed an Article V convention of states for term limits

More slaying the left crazies in Alberta…sanity reigns.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announces:
1) Transgender “top and bottom” surgery is banned for minors aged 17 and under in Alberta.
2) Puberty and hormone blockers banned for those aged 15 and under. Those aged 16 or 17 require parental consent.
3) Parental notification and an “opt-in” requirement will be required for each instance a school teacher intends to give formal instruction on gender, sexual orientation or human sexuality.
4) For minors aged 15 and under, parental notification and consent will be required for any change in name or pronouns. For minors aged 16 or 17, parental notification for name or pronoun changes is required.
5) The Alberta government will work with sporting organizations to ensure biological women and girls have the choice to compete in athletic competitions in a women-only division without any trans-identifying males.

Georgia Case — Fani and Wade can’t be contacted as their cruise ship is beyond cell service.
NY Stormy Case — Those are misdemeanors my good sir, and the statute of limitations expired in 2021.
