OSLO, Norway (AP) — Norwegian authorities seized a Russian vessel in the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard on Wednesday at the request of Ukraine’s Naftogaz as part of a global effort to enforce a $4.22 billion arbitration award.
Naftogaz is trying to recover the multibillion-dollar arbitration award stemming from Russia’s 2014 illegal annexation of Crimea and its seizure of Ukrainian energy assets, including gas fields and pipelines.
In 2023, an arbitration tribunal in The Hague ordered Russia to pay the $4.22 billion to the Ukrainian state-owned energy company for unlawfully seizing its assets in Crimea.”
Btw, Putin called seizure of the ship an “act of terrorism”.

Catch 22 in Texas. Paxton is loaded with baggage weighing him down in the GE. Cornyn doesn’t have the baggage but is viewed as a squish by the base in Texas and because of that Baris said he was a loser in the GE. Base wouldn’t turn out for him. I’m waiting for Trump to give Israel the thumbs up to kill the scum running Iran into the ground. The Israelis are quite good at targeting individuals in high places whether it be an ayatollah, Hamas leaders or Iranian scientists. Masad is very efficient. They have shown that over and over and over. Who knows. Maybe Trump already has given the go signal..
The two month pause Trump gave Iran was an obvious mistake with the ridiculous MOU. He was played. However, the economic squeeze he’s now putting on Iran is brilliant and the right course. Strangle their economy. At least The MOU fiasco finally convinced Trump to not play their game any longer. Unfortunately, that road takes time and it will bleed into the November elections. At this point it can’t be helped. I very much like the strategy of hitting an Iranian tanker for every commercial ship they attack in the strait. That is where they are storing their oil. They are truly running out of storage capacity. They would have already reached that point had we not lifted the blockade for seven weeks. That said, he’s doing what needs to be done to facilitate extreme economic pain which will eventually pay off I believe in the collapse of the regime. That collapse is the ONLY way to solve the Iranian problem. It’s clear they can’t be trusted even if they signed an agreement. We tried that.

I had a repairman come by yesterday to fix my dryer. Got to talk to him a bit. Turned out he was from the Ukraine, and we had a very interesting conversation.
