The townhall was CNN.
Show the flag and don’t back down. I known you all hate Christie but when he was running for Governor, he would debate anywhere and go to every forum. He even answered questions on boardwalks from voters.
When I ran for Congress, I spoke to a group of black women voters. They thanked me since they had never had a Republican visit to answer their questions. I thanked them for the invitation and they laughed when I asked if Chaka Fattah had ever spoken to their group because he didn’t need to.

Yes, I think you should go and debate outside your comfort zone and try to change minds. Trump was effective doing rallies in blue areas.
But engaging groups such as you did with black voters is different from a setup.
CNN townhalls are dishonest partisan hackery. The moderators are hacks and the townhall participants are props. There is nothing legitimate about this “forum”
So in the first place even honoring CNN with your presence and participating in a pre ordained circus is stupid.
