  1. The Iranians said they stopped attacking Israel so I think DW’s special assignment was successful.

  2. I don’t think that what happened in LA will be repeated in the governor’s race despite the 2.6 million votes outstanding.

One reason is the vote is even more fragmented and the universe of votes for Steyer to catch up is more like 1.2 million. A lot of those 2.6 million votes will be going to Becerra, Bianco, Porter, Mahan, etc. Over half of them, actually.

The other is that there are still a lot of votes from counties where Hilton is ahead of Steyer.

What would be suspicious is if Dem votes stop going to Becerra and start favoring Steyer. That is the only way Steyer can make up 300k votes in a 1.2 million universe, because if Steyer gains on Becerra too it expands the 1.2 million universe.

There is no reason to think that the late vote should inordinately favor Steyer over Becerra, I would smell a rat if that happened.

That was the exact pattern that happened in CA-06 and the LA Mayor race.

  8. The LA’s mayor’s race is so obviously fraudulent, with lopsided ballot drops, that some say were “mathematically impossible.” It’s getting a lot of backlash everywhere too – not just locally, but across the country. However, where are the remedies? Being alarmed and angry does nothing to stop the steal. I haven’t even heard much from Pratt, who I thought would publicly express his dismay more over being ousted from 2nd place in such a blatantly unethical fashion.

  9. Peruvian food is excellent. There are some great Peruvian restaurants in Miami if you don’t want to go as far as Lima.

The closest Peruvian to me is about 20 miles and basically they have rotisserie chicken Peruvian style, good but nothing to write home about. They also have Chaufa, an Andean version of Chinese food (Chifa) again not my favorite Peruvian food.

  10. I am radically against denaturalizing any American citizen, I doubt any court would agree with that, not going to happen.

The only exception is IF the naturalization process was fraudulent, then yes.

But otherwise any American citizen has the same rights as any other, if you commit a crime, you answer to it just like everyone else.

There is no way SCOTUS is going to agree to this blatantly unconstitutional BS.

He should be ahead by 15-20 pts against a fruitcake weirdo like Talarico.

  16. The silver lining is that this poll and the media hype showing the race as close will get Dems to spend a lot of money on a race that could be out of reach even with a weak R candidate.

As long as Talarico doesn’t actually win that is a good thing.

  18. If something doesn’t break before hand (and of course everything to CNN is BREAKING NEWS) then tonight’s Knicks/Spurs game at Madison Square Garden will be the most anticipated sports happening since the Super Bowl.

The last time the Knicks won an NBA Championshp was 1973, a year I was a junior in high school, and the Vietnam War still going on even after the Paris Peace Accords were signed earlier that year.

The most view NBA was game 1 between the Knicks and Spurs whereas 17 million viewerships tuned-the most in 7 years to watch an NBA game.

Tonight, Mayor Mamdani will be in attendance. And yes, so will President Trump. Just read that Trump’s attendance might cause a delay. The security will be massive.

Could rival the famous Ali/Frazier or even the Marlyn Monroe happy birthday song for JFK for coverage.

  19. There are some populous counties where Hilton is way ahead of Steyer. Orange, Ventura, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernadino, etc. Some still have a third of the vote left. So Hilton will continue to net votes.

And even where he is losing, like Santa Clara and San Mateo, he only trails Steyer by a few points.

Polymarket gives Hilton a 95% chance of advancing.

I think that is probably about right.

    There is a MOF.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is unique because it is 96% fee-funded rather than tax-funded. Federal law grants the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) the ongoing authority to independently adjust standard filing fees

Home to Harmony, by Phillip Gulley.

Each short chapter is a story about the antics that transpired involving people in his fictitious town where he lives.

Have read another book by him a few years back called Front PorchTales. Also EXCELLENT!

    ——

Each chapter in his books are highly entertaining, lots of humor, and a good message about life.

He has other books as well like Home Town Tales, and For Everything A Season.

Short chapters, very engrossing and lots of my kind of humor…plus a compelling message in every chapter.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! 😀
