WVU baseballer Victor Scott, who was acquired by St. Louis in 2020, also went 3 for 4 in the opening game.

When you go to bed at 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. it is NOT fun to be awakened at 6 in the morning by the fricking smoke detector fire alarms going off and beeping when there is absolutely no smoke, no fire, no carbon monoxide issues.
NUMEROUS MORNINGS. Two different detectors.
Have replace batteries. Twice.
10 foot ceilings. Instead of dragging out the 60 pound adjustable ladder from the garage, I now use a long pole to hit the reset button.
The wife says call the volunteer fire company and give them a significant contribution and have them come and replace all 6 smoke/fire/carbon monoxide detectors in the house (we of course would but the 6 detectors).
I do not think volunteer fired department people would do that.

Chase Delauter (from my hometown, Hedgesville WV and former WVU baseballer) ALSO hit a home run in his first game for the Cleveland Guardians (AKA Indians)
Both Wetherholt and Delauter are left handed batters. Both had two strikes on them when they went yard.

As far as I remember, neither I nor any of my friends ever went to jail for any “activities” while growing up. But yes, my brother and I did have to pay for damages caused when we went inside one storage building. It was not our fault. The owner had inadvertently left his set of keys in the door. And most of the damage was caused by a guy who was with us–David Shelley (“The Cat Skinner”)–who never had to pay up.

And I am a former baseball er and also bat left handed.
SADLY, in 4 years of little league, 4 years of high school baseball 2 years of Tri State Independent league “semi-pro” baseball 2 years of college baseball and 33 years of slow pitch softball I only hit one HOME RUN.
It was in little league. High fly ball to right field. Fielder retreating and staggering around while I race around the bags. It drops just inside the fence. By the the the ball to home plate, I have already scored. Then a few innings later, the rains came, the game was postponed and did not go into the record books. My only HR did not count.
I was proud when I got doubles, or when I played slow pitch softball when I did get a few triples.

He didn’t mention the great winning shot he made in the Aztec ball game that caused the losing team to be executed, half by decapitation and half by having their hearts extracted.
Supposedly in an interview later to the Aztec Daily Register, he famously commented on the executions by saying “losing is part of life”.

When Paul’s Marxist friends take over, there will be no stock market or 401k’s, so one less worry for him.
The difference is that while Paul now gets to enjoy being a blood sucking parasite in the Capitalist system, when his Marxist buddies take over he will need to at least pretend to work to get his food coupons.
