At the moment there is nothing that indicates that, the Dems have a 4.8 pt lead in the generic ballot, but that is not enough to for a 25-30 seat gain.
So both you and DW are betting the numbers will be worse for Rs by November, and indeed they may.
I just see an opportunity to make some money for the ASPCA dogs assuming the numbers don’t get worse.
But since you even have DW backing up your theory, you should be willing to bet.

This year will feature lots of emotion laden ads. “Trump trampling on peoples’ constitutional rights”, “Trump’s ICE killing law abiding angel Americans”, Trump is coming after you next”, Target the emotion laden women’s vote, the emotion laden youth vote (esp college kids who are mostly stupid and idealistic anyway), the emotion laden LBGTQ vote and all families that have one of those, plus the typical welfare crew who feel their dependant on government way of life threatened.
And the House under D control again will impeach Trump (again) and the Senate (strill R control) will not have enough votes to convict Trump (again) and the last two years of Trump admin will be unable to get anything done in Congress.

I think a 4 pt generic advantage for the Dems translates into a narrow Dem majority in the House similar to the margin Rs have now.
‘The November election will depend on what that number is right before the election.
If it is higher, say 8-10 pts, a 25-30 seat loss for Rs is entirely possible.
The reason I am willing to bet it won’t be the high is 100% based on the current polling.

I think the biggest threat to Rs in November is not the old tired anti-Trump propaganda that so impresses Bitter’s friends and neighbors, it is the possibility the “Maga vote” won’t come out because as Chicon puts it, “they didn’t get everything they want”.

RE; the TX Senate special, the R that lost the primary refused to endorse the eventual nominee and practically endorsed the Dem. Said Dem is a veteran and ran as a social conservative who wanted tighter border controls. Add in just 25% turnout and a win where the Dem will collect a paycheck but probably not actually ever sit in the legislature because they don’t meet this year unless Gov. Abbott calls a special session, and nobody really had any motivation to vote aside from the angry Dems who will always vote to send a message. The turnout in November is NOT going to be 25% where we not angry Dems show up.

Kennedy has sued Metcalf and various others, via Christian Romo of USA Today. The lawsuit focused on the alleged assault — and on the statements made about Kennedy following the December 21 incident.
The civil action, filed on Tuesday, targets Metcalf, the Steelers, and Ford Field management in connection with the assault. Metcalf, Shannon Sharpe, Chad Johnson, and Shay Shay Media were sued for defamation.
Johnson said during an episode of the Nightcap podcast that Kennedy provoked Metcalf by using a racial slur, and by using a misogynistic term in reference to Metcalf’s mother.
“The statements were false and reckless,” the lawsuit alleges. “Plaintiff Kennedy did not call Defendant Metcalf the ‘N-word’; did not call Defendant Metcalf mother a ‘c—‘; and did not ever use any racial slurs or hate speech whatsoever. . . . Defendant Metcalf provided false information to Defendant Johnson about what Plaintiff Kennedy allegedly said, thereby instigating and authorizing the publication of the defamatory and reckless statements which were intended to harm Plaintiff Kennedy.”
Kennedy seeks $100 million in damages, along with a “full public retraction and correction of defamatory statements” from Johnson and Sharpe.”

In 2018 the Dems had about a 9 pt advantage in both Jan and before the election, and won 40 seats.
The 4-5 pt spread has a large margin of error, so the Dems could be ahead by as much as 9 pts or it could be about even. Rs would gain seats if it was even.
Other factors such as gerrymandering will play a part. I don’t think the R gerrymandering will be that effective if both CA and VA pro Dem efforts are successful.
The 4-5 pt advantage indicates the Dems will take the House, but there is nothing that shows a 25-30 seat blowout.
So I am willing to put my money where my mouth is. If things change and the Dems win 40 seats, Bitter will have enough for a down payment on a new snow blower.
