“Putting his hands up” zzzzzz….
“Executing a man on his knees”…zzzzz
This guy was armed with a loaded weapon and was in a violent altercation with law enforcement officers. He had no business attacking the officers, he was not the intended target, he had no business “defending” anyone being arrested by law enforcement.
Put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig. This basically got what he was asking for.
The moment Alex Pretti made physical contact with the first CBP officer he committed a forcible federal felony good for 8 years in a federal penitentiary, under 18 USC §111.
From that point on CBP was making the arrest of a violent felony suspect, armed with a gun, forcibly, non-compliant with lawful arrest, shouts of GUN!, a gunshot is heard, and Pretti brought his right hand from his waistband into view gripping a black object while being held at gunpoint by officers.
That will get you lawfully shot 999 times out of 1,000.
The execution of Alex Pretti is playing so badly because you can look at his actions and life story – his last act was helping, boy scout, athlete, health care worker to veterans – and compare those to the men who killed him and know which you would want to be your son.

Please explain why you think Pretti or the woman he was “defending” were entitled to interfere with this operation.
” Federal agents were conducting a targeted operation to arrest Jose Huerta-Chuma, an undocumented immigrant with a criminal history including domestic assault charges. Huerta-Chuma remains at large.”
Paul and other leftists act like this is some sort of play where everyone knows the script and how the narrative ends. So they condemn cops as though they could have known all the details that are now known, when those details were not available in the heat of the moment. The cop might have elected not to shoot only to die seconds later at the hands of this man.
This is why it is critically important for people to stay out of the way of police while they are making an arrest, and thereby maximize the potential for nobody to get hurt.
If the new standard is that police have to do their work while being threatened, blocked, and attacked and at the same time ensure none of those opposing them gets hurt, then nobody will become cops and we have anarchy in our nation.
All this rhetoric reveals is that Dems see an opening to get more votes in the fall out of this. They are exploiting Good and Pretti, and its disgusting. Most of the thousands of people who were murdered or raped by illegal aliens were silenced and their names quickly forgotten.
@VCUHealth. She posted a series of videos encouraging people to inject ICE agents with succinylocholine, a temporary paralysis drug, and spray poison on them. She also encourages woman to go on dates with agents and drug their food.”
I think if you listed all victims of illegal aliens it would be well over 1,000. Well over.
Walt, you’re right about the numbers being far greater than the ones I posted. I actually copied a Facebook post, seeing its significance in pointing out how the left exploits 2 people engaged in deliberating obstructing the operations of ICE/Border officials, versus the unnamed, non-politicized masses randomly victimized by illegals.
The MN demonstrators seem to be zealots, amped up on their mission to resist, obstruct, and cause so much chaos that it turns a disciplined operation into an unhinged one. The red whistles they are equipped with, and incessantly blow during ICE confrontations, will alone drive people crazy.
Alex Pretti had been injured in a scuffle with federal agents in Minneapolis just one week before he was shot dead, it has emerged.
Pretti, 37, was left with a broken rib after being tackled by a group of officers during a protest against Donald Trump‘s immigration crackdown, a source told CNN“
I thought Paul said this was a peaceful guy who just happened to be “defending” a woman….
I have had broken ribs. They are extremely painful.
For you to want to go back out and engage in new altercations with law enforcement shows a scary degree of “commitment to the cause”.
Contrary to what Paul says, this guy was a real hater.
”That is the point of the current campaign to demonize federal immigration officials. For simplicity I will refer to all immigration officials as ICE, even though the work is carried out across ICE, CBP, and DHS. The campaign is not merely a set of criticisms of policy. It is a moral downgrade, a relentless effort to push a class of public servants outside the circle of normal human sympathy. It is also part of a broader color revolution attempt to remove President Trump and Republicans from power by delegitimizing the state’s basic functions, provoking disorder, and then blaming the resulting disorder on the administration tasked with restoring order.
A puzzled reader may ask, “Color revolution, really?” The phrase can sound like an overstatement, or a slogan imported from another context. But consider what the term is meant to pick out. A color revolution is a political strategy that seeks regime change by combining street pressure, media pressure, institutional sabotage, and a story line that treats the current government as illegitimate. It does not require tanks. It requires moral permission for crowds to do what crowds normally fear to do. The method is to launder harassment into heroism and to launder intimidation into civic virtue. The target is not a single law. The target is the state’s capacity to govern.”
Ice has a +10 favorite rate. The rinos and ds have to deflate that approval. They both have the same outcome. (More illegals and more benefits to them).
Rand Paul’s solution to illegal immigrants in the US: they get to stay but they don’t get welfare or citizenship.”
I have actually supported a variation of this, where illegals who have been here say over 5 years and have no criminal history could be offered work permits on a quota system (so many a year). I also support permanent residency (green cards) to the Dreamers who are crime free, serve in the military for 3 years, and/or are gainfully employed for 5 years.
Despite the rhetoric and the “2 million self deported” (which I think is probably inflated) the fact is only about 600k have been deported in the first year, and most of those low hanging fruit.
The fact is that even if Trump could deport another 2-3 million in his term (doubtful) there would still be over 15 million illegals, most of which are not going anywhere.
And if Dems get control again, a lot of the deportees will be back, bet on it.
No it probably started with the woman trying to interfere with lawful operations.
ICE was there to arrest a CRIMINAL.
Anyone interfering is abetting criminal behavior.
This guy was an agitator, member of an “anti_ICE” organization. He fought with agents at another location. He had a broken rib. He showed up at this location looking for trouble, armed with a loaded weapon to boot, and got what he asked for.
They did not interfere. They were standing filming. The woman was standing some distance and filming when an ICE officer came across the street and shoved her. THERE WAS NO INTERFERENCE!!!!!
ICE thug violently pushed a woman to the ground for absolutely no reason”
So Paul calls someone legally engaged in an arrest of a known criminal a “thug” but the people opposing such arrest are what “freedom fighters”.
The we have the “absolutely no reason” canard.
Here is the deal, just the fact this woman was close enough to an agent to be pushed to the ground and pepper sprayed already eliminates the “no reason” argument.
Impeding federal officers from doing their job is a crime.
Ace covers a lot of this stuff, and raises a very relevant question as to why none of these protests were huge or went violent during prior deportations, as well as why all this recent MN unrest began only AFTER the Somali fraud was exposed.
Sorry, Paul, this actvity is not organic, it’s being organized by bad actors who have no issue putting people like you into the line of fire. In fact, if more of your kinfolks get killed, the better it is for those bad actors to achieve THEIR aims.

My son has named all the fish, so replacement will be harder. One is Whitey Bolger, one is Big Bully, I forget the other’s names…
Paul is now resorting to Bitter’s redundant accusations. Sad….
Pretti must have considered himself some sort of a vigilante hero. A few weeks earlier he had a rib broken by physically confronting immigration officials. After that his own parents warned him about “not doing anything stupid.” He apparently didn’t heed their warning, having another police altercation carrying a gun, extra ammunition, and blowing his whistle to aggravate the heated confrontation.
Yep, according to reports Alex Pretti was engaged in another conflict with federal agents a week earlier….
“The earlier incident started when he (Pretti) stopped his car after observing ICE agents chasing what he described as a family on foot, and began shouting and blowing his whistle, according to a source who asked not to be named out of fear of retribution” CNN reported today.”
Pretti said he was tackled by five agents and suffered a broken rib.

Walt, found a link with some good information in how to deal with a frozen fish pond. I also have a pond, with fish I name, so am sympathetic to your plight.

JUST IN: In a VICTORY, a Virginia court just STRUCK DOWN any Democrat efforts to gerrymander the state’s Congressional map for more blue seats during the 2026 election If anything is passed, it must take effect AFTER the 2027 election GREAT! Dems will likely appeal this, though, and the decision MUST hold. Indiana really screwed up by refusing to redistrict, or this wouldn’t even be as big of a problem.
I find it amusing that the Ds have and push a meme that Trump has some grandiose, Big Plan to dramatically alter human society.
First, Trump is not smart enough to have some grandiose big plan to dramatically alter society. Secondly, if he DID, it would be odd that he made no attempt to implement his Big Plan prior to 2016 when he first ran for president.
Berkeley County WV (where I live) has reported that they have a total of 20,000 students in public schools. 5,000 of those are special Ed students. They get federal dollars and state dollars to help cover costs needed for special Ed students.
Berkeley County reported that the cost to provide for these special Ed students EXCEEDS what the Feds and State of WV provides by $38,350,621.94.
That money is provided by the local school system.
$7,670 for each special ed student is coming from the LOCAL school system tax payers.
“The parents of Alex Pretti say their son quit his hospital job months ago and had shown “unusual behavior” recently. “He seemed to have joined some kind of group. We warned him two weeks ago — protest if you want, but don’t engage, don’t do anything stupid,” his father, Michael Pretti, told reporters. “He said he understood.” But it wasn’t until police pulled messages from Alex’s phone that the truth began to emerge — and what investigators found. It seems that Pretti’s parents didn’t want him participating. It seems Pretti allegedly scrubbed his social media presence one day prior to his actions leading to his death. When you make decisions based on emotions, you make poor decisions. He made bad decisions. I’m a 2A absolutist. You have a right to carry, not a privilege. But rights come with restrictions, you need your ID & permit on you. Reports say Pretti had neither. He wasn’t carrying legally.”
In PA, if you are armed and you have an interaction with police, you have to declare it. Pretti as soon as he approached/was approached should have said “I have a weapon” They would have told him to get down, put his arms over his head, and they would have disarmed him. THEN if he showed his permit and was not causing trouble they would have returned it to him.
I have been stopped with a gun in the car, and the first thing you say is I have a (loaded/unloaded) weapon). They then ask for the permit, neither time it happened did they ask to see the weapon, just the permit.

From Amuse on X:

We are still not winning on immigration.

Nothing Paul can say changes any of those facts.

Pretti’s parents are smarter than Paul…
Low bar, I know
“The parents of Alex Pretti say their son quit his hospital job months ago and had shown “unusual behavior” recently.
LikeLike
In PA, if you are armed and you have an interaction with police, you have to declare it. Pretti as soon as he approached/was approached should have said “I have a weapon” They would have told him to get down, put his arms over his head, and they would have disarmed him. THEN if he showed his permit and was not causing trouble they would have returned it to him.
I have been stopped with a gun in the car, and the first thing you say is I have a (loaded/unloaded) weapon). They then ask for the permit, neither time it happened did they ask to see the weapon, just the permit.
