Young boy (teen or early 20s) in CA (who happens to have painted fingernails) tried to interfere with an ICE arrest and the result he was shot with pepper balls and one hit him in the left eye. NOW he is bling for life in that eye.
I suggest he sues….George Soros for medical costs and damages because the laws are clear that employers are to be help responsible for unsafe work conditions.

Walt, for mail-in ballots, I would have the voter write down their DL/ID card or voter registration card number somewhere that is not visible to the exterior of the envelope. That would suffice along with the signature.

My son has finished his first week of working 6 hours a day for Fed EX as a forklift operator.
THE ENTIRE WEEK was spent filling out forms and watching various required work related videos. HE HAS NOT YET TOUCHED A FORKLIFT. The good news of that is that he did not have to work in the warehouse when it has been so cold during this week. He was in an office watching videos. He is champing at the bit to actually operate the forklift and actually work.
He will actually begin to operate a forklift beginning early Monday morning. On Mondays, he works a 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. shift . Other days are 4 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The videos include ones of sexual harassment, racial discrimination policies, ones on lock down procedures if there is an active shooter, another on the tornado shelter in the parking lot, HD department stuff, OSHA regulations regarding safety at work, company policies and procedures on all sorts of things…. I think he has to watch each video and then take a quiz on the content to see if he got the basics of that particular video. A[apparently LL new employees have to watch all these videos. .
BELIEVE IT OR NOT (I am NOT kidding) there was even a video regarding spotted lantern flies and what steps to take if you as an employee see some. BTW, FedEx says that MD and PA have State laws concerning transportation companies and their responsibilities and legal state requirements they need to comply with in order to stop/slow down the spread of spotted lantern flies. And I guess State penalties if you fail to do what those states say. WV does not have any extra requirements regarding spotted lantern flies.”
Son also said that as a “part time” worker (30 hours a week) he still gets full benefits, gets a $2/hour raise after every 3 months. Employees also get a bonus. The bonus they just declared from the previous 3 months was 4 1/2%/ Not sure if the bonus equals 4 1/2% of their pay, or if it is a 4 1/2% pay increase.

In WV first the voter has to request a mail in ballot. Then when they return it they must provide valid signature that must match voter registration data.WV does not willy nilly mail all registered voters a mail in ballot like some states do.
Still, mail in ballots are the most prone to fraud at various stages along the way. Esp. if you were GA in 2016 and they dialed down the machine that examines the signature to require only a 10% match.

MN city Police force.
They are already unable to find applicants to fill their ranks, due in part to the city putting handcuffs on the police and not having them enforce the law and given order to stand down and not help ICE agents in any way.
I think they have had something like 1400 positions, possibly more, but that have only 900 police officers.
A double digit number of them have now put in for retirement or 3 months personal leave, depleting their numbers even more.
Add to that, 24 Minneapolis police officers have resigned and been hired to be ICE agents.
I expect that last number will probably grow as there are probably more city Police officers who really want to enforce the law and get bad people off the street and improve their community and can’t stand the current kookoo for coca puffs mayor

Her first title of the book she submitted was “Time to Kill.”
But the publisher said ithe title was too close to another book title already written. And to rename it.
So she resubmitted and now called “Time to Kill A Mockingbird” sand the publisher rejected that title too.
Cow got frustrated and ate the manuscript.

If Trump feels we should have a bigger presence there and more military facilities, all he has to do is talk privately with Denmark and negotiate with them to do just that. Same thing for minerals there. Talk privately with Denmark. They own Greenland.
Trump is stupid for saying he is going to seize Greenland, etc. Denmark is part of Nato so if Russia, China or whoever tried any monkey business there the U.S. and all of NATO would be there to defend Denmark;s territory.
Can Trump convince Denmark to sell Greenland. I do not think so. Can Trump persuade Greenland to break away from Denmark and then apply to the U.S. to take them over. I do not think that would happen either.

ICE agents broke into another family’s home without a warrant in Minneapolis, a blatant violation of the Fourth Amendment, and illegally detained a U.S. citizen, half-naked, in subzero temperatures.
Yesterday, ICE agents showed up at a Hmong family’s home, forced their way inside without a warrant, trashed the house, put a gun to the daughter-in-law’s head, and dragged the father out wearing only boxers, refusing to let him put on clothes, while it was -9 degrees outside.
Then it gets worse.
He is a naturalized U.S. citizen.
ICE illegally entered his home, illegally detained him, drove him around for over an hour, interrogated and fingerprinted him, and only after realizing they had no authority to hold him, quietly dumped him back at his house like nothing happened.
No warrant.
No charges.
No consequences.
This isn’t immigration enforcement…
It’s armed home invasions, constitutional violations, and state-sanctioned kidnapping.
And if they can do this to a U.S. citizen in his own home, they can do it to you.

Is that letter from Trump to the Norwegian Prime Minister real or fake? If real, it is quite insane. Trump blames Norway for not giving him the Nobel prize. (Sweden is the headquarters for the Nobel prize.) And now he’s going to take Greenland by force because he didn’t get the award.

The U.S. bought the Louisiana Territory, parts of Arizona and New Mexico, Florida and Alaska. If Trump wants to buy Greenland, go for it.
Cheaper to work out a deal for more military bases and mineral deals.

Bitter: If they were willing to sell Greenland, that would be great. It doesn’t sound like they have any interest in doing so.
However, we can already put a whole bunch of bases there. (Simply open the ones that we’ve closed in the past). And Danes and Greenlanders are glad to work mineral deals. And they also have no problem with using the Greenland space for the North America dome defense. I assume we are also using Canada’s Nunavut and Northwest territories for that and don’t need to invade Canada.
