Speaking of which, my youngest was asking about socialism after hearing how great it was that Mandami was elected from one of his ultra liberal classmates in Austin. That we needed POC who were socialists to rise up and take over all across the USA to finally make this country great.
So I explained it to him, and finally used the grade(s) story. I asked him what grades this kid got…he told me, and they were lower than his. So I told him in socialism, all of his straight A’s would be shared with other classmates who didn’t make those grades, and everyone would get the same. He freaked out.
I then handed him Animal Farm and told him to read it….He gets it now.

I listened to the event @ Arlington this morning. Very patriotic with good speeches from Doug Collins (Secretary of VA) and the prez. Interesting statistic – at the end of Biden’s presidency the VA had a 38% approval rating. Now it has a 92% approval rating. Under Collins additional installations and services are opening up. My ex-Navy husband is appreciative of the VA upgrading which he uses from time to time. Also, my parents were married on Veteran’s Day making it a special family day.

Out and about this morning and early afternoon.
Flipped radio dial from FOX 115 and 114 to go over to CNN at 116. I do this occasionally to see what the communists have as their lead and in depth stories.
I do this from time to time to see what different stories or slants CNN is running is different from FOX or even other MSM stations. Good to see what your opponent is pushing…
Here they are:
FIRST–Story about female trans captain. Her promotion to lead a SEAL spec ops team has been rescinded by Hegseth just a few weeks before her ceremony. “THE INVITATIONS HAD ALREADY BEEN SENT OUT!” . The story line is that she is being discriminated against for being a woman who believes she is a man. The people on radio talking about this say she/he passed all the rigorous physical tests to attain her captain rank. She can even do weighted pull-ups with 25 pound weights being involved. They have contacted DOD for info about what physical tests she took and how they were any different from those required of a man–“BUT THE DOD HAS NOT RESPONDED WITH ANY DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE SHOWING THERE ARE ACTUALLY ANY DIFFERENCES IN PHYSICAL STRENGTH TESTS FOR WOMEN VS. MEN.” There is no proof that she was not able to do all the physical things that men are required to do. Goes back to Hegseth (and Trump) being anti woman and against women serving in combat positions. She is well thought of by her fellow SEAL members and they are all very disappointed her promotion has been axed. (of course no background of how this female got to where she is over the last 6-8 years and if DEI had anything to do with that…)
SECOND–Trump’s U.S. military strikes to destroy the drug running speed boats. Each strike is extremely expensive, They involve using drones, raptor missiles, ($$$), C-130 gunships ($$$) Raises questions as to why we are spending so much money on dealing with these boats when there are less costly ways to deal with them. [I was actually surprised they did not have any interviews with heartbroken family members who had their fathers/sons blown up while running illegal drugs..and how the rest of the family is no devastated that a main breadwinner was now gone…]
THIRD–long discussion piece about how giddy the Dems are about mid decade redistricting in CA (“a big victory for Gavin Newsom”) and how Dems are slated to pick up additional seats in CA, UT, IN, VA, MD, and other states. This was all caused by TX first doing redistricting solely for political purposes and done at the behest of Trump. Many Repub states (IN, KS, NH, and others) have pushed back against Trump urging them to redistrict. Not going to do it until maybe December…or at all… They say Dems will come definitely out a net plus after all the redistricting is said and done. They say the Dems have always honored the every ten years redistricting tradition but now that the Rs are playing this dirty game, then the Des decided they would too.
FOURTH–Government shutdown is over and govt about to reopen. At CNN THIS voting to reopen by 7 Dem Senators is a big mistake for those 7 D senators who caved and voted with the Trump Rs to reopen government. Air traffic woes are real bad, and will continue to be so for some time (some more days or weeks). Clips aired show Trans. Sec. Duffy saying regardless of what Trump says it will be up to DUFFY to determine when things get back to normal for air traffic. Things might not be back to normal for Thanksgiving travel. [They MISSED an opportunity to interview someone at an airport who was planning to go to their granda’s funeral, but were unable to because Trump and the Trump Shutdown and the Trump Rs in the Senate had voted to shut down government…]

CNN is so irritating to me….They OFTEN focus on an isolated high personal interest story that shows how a Trump policy might be harmful for one individual, but never look at the big picture from 10,000 feet. 2/2 This is the SNAP case. SCOTUS extending the Administrative Stay allows it to let the government reopen and then vacate the 1st Circuit/district court decisions without have to get its hands dirty. They did this with the USAID funding too…which just encourage lower courts.

In the last batch of votes just released Katie Wilson (defund the police, free rent, free transit, tax the rich) progressive activist aka the Seattle version of Zohan Mamdan) has now blown past incumbent Harrell and taken a 1300 vote lead most of the votes remaining coming from Seattle where she has crushed Harrell.
