New Democratic Party of Virginia Flag Unveiled

Here is my take on the Jones texts and what it means. I am not sure you will like this, and I hope I am wrong. I remember well when Bill Clinton was caught committing adultery with a woman young enough to be his daughter, in the oval office. I remember leftist journalist Sam Donaldson saying something like, there is no path for him to survive this, politically. He’s done. Except he wasn’t. Why? Culture had degenerated to the point where this didn’t matter to enough people. Such immorality was deemed acceptable.

Here we are again at another watershed moment. We should have known this when Steve Scalise was nearly killed. But the far left is at war with us. They feel justified in pulling the trigger to kill us. What used to be a slim fringe minority has grown now to dominate the Democratic Party. Many celebrated the murder of Charlie Kirk. Many wish the Trump would-be assassins had been successful. Recent polling shows somewhere over 20% of Democrats believed it is right and correct to celebrate the deaths of political opponents. Jay Jones fantasized about putting two bullets into the head of the GOP leader, and desired his kids to die. It’s a mistake to think that the left sees this as extreme. As of this thread, NOT ONE Democrat politician has demanded Jones suspend his campaign. That is telling. That is chilling. Even MSNBC said he should probably step down.

If this is not quickly becoming the accepted policy within the policy makers of the Democratic Party, they have an easy way to prove it. Step up and demand this hateful person suspend his campaign. Demand he withdraw from the race. Demand that everyone know that this behavior is not consistent with your party values.

My fear is that the collective shrugging of shoulders we see going on right in front of us is one more step in the path of violence, where they place absolutely no value on the lives of conservatives and Republicans. Should that shock us? They have no regard for the unborn. They castrate little boys who have been tricked into thinking they can be made girls. They push for early disposal of the elderly. This is quickly becoming not only the party of death, but the party of violent death. Death for any who dissent. Death for any who speak out in protest. Death for any who try to fix the problems they created.

They can easily prove me wrong. Will they?

  2. I don’t think ANY Democrats will care about this, they probably agree with him. None of them will abandon the ticket for this.

But I doubt it will galvanize any votes FOR him, either.

I could see a percentage of Indies who would otherwise vote for him leaving at least this race blank and I could see an increased turnout among Rs/conservatives who are truly disgusted.

So I see it as a net negative, in a close race it could be important. The question is how close was the race to start with. From what I saw, Miyares was polling better than Sears, possibly because of a higher Hispanic vote and the fact Jones is a weaker (or less known) candidate than Spanberger.

But I get your point. Sarah Longwell at the Bulwark says yeah this is bad but Trump is worse.

Walt, the educational system in America has been turning out millions of leftists for decades now.

These positions are a consequence of this. The Dem party no longer views any of this as “too far”, and anybody who dares say it is is immediately chastised.

A Democrat today can’t say they are against killing a viable 9 month old fetus. They can’t say they are against castrating children. They can’t say they oppose funding sex changes for illegals, or in fact anything that suggests they don’t support open borders.

Unfortunately, this is also happening to a certain extent on the right too, anyone advocating for bipartisanship, consensus, moderation is immediately attacked as a communist RINO.

It will get worse before it gets better, if it ever does get better.

  4. Someone named Sebbo pasted this into RRH:

NVSOS has released updated registration numbers for Sep 2025. Due largely to additional voter file maintenance in Clark County, Rs have retaken the registered vote lead in Nevada by 2,284 statewide (600,266-597,982) out of over 2 million. Independents still lead overall.

Democrats’ lead overall in Clark County (Las Vegas & Henderson) by just shy of 83,000, and Republicans lead registration in every other county in the state, including Washoe (Reno).

  6. New CNU poll of VA races out, but the dates are stale, and ENTIRELY before the news broke that the Dem AG candidate wanted to put two bullets in the head of the GOP leader in VA, and wanted his kids to die.

Even so, in this poll, Jones was up only 6: 49-43

    However, notice this nugget:

“Incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares has a +7 favorability rating (31% favorable
to 24% unfavorable) with 46% saying no opinion/don’t know. Democratic candidate
Jay Jones has a +2 favorability rating (28% favorable to 26% unfavorable); 45% indicate
    no opinion/don’t know.”

Miyares has HIGHER favorability than Jones, and this is BEFORE the revelation of Jones’ texts.

This means there is HUGE room for Miyares to grow his support numbers and for Jones to lose. That six point gap is likely toast.

With 45% having no opinion on Jones favorability in this poll, the news of the text will change that number in the wrong direction for him.

  7. same poll had Sears down ten, a two-point improvement from their last poll.

For what its worth, last year CNU gave Harris an 11 point lead in their final poll, and the result was Harris by 5.

CNU has a C- rating due to their 2024 performance.

NEW: Even top-level Ukrainian officials thought then-VP Biden and his family were engaged in corrupt practices in their country, as documented in a just-declassified CIA report in early 2016. So what did Biden do about this evidence? He and his national security team covered it up, as shown here in documents

    @CIADirector

Ratcliffe just declassified and released about a Biden trip to Ukraine. (Heavy redactions are a sign that US intelligence sources were used in attaining the info.) DNI Clapper Email at the time: Biden prefers “report not/not to be disseminated.” “These officials viewed the alleged ties of the U.S. Vice President’s family to corruption in Ukraine as evidence of a double-standard within the United States Government towards matters of corruption and political power.”

  67. The bunt was a horrible call. I didn’t catch whether or not the manager called for the bunt, or was it just the batter deciding to try something?

I just cannot fathom how they thought giving up an out was worth the extra base? Had he swung away and hit a deep flyball out to right field, at least you console yourself that the runner was moved up, and you have a chance to tie with another fly ball. But you hate the out because you haven’t tied the game yet.

And that’s another question, why was the slow runner on second base not pulled for the fastest pinch-runner on the team?

If these decisions were from the Phillies manager, he won’t sleep well during all the offseason, thinking about what might have been. Its no guarantee the Phillies would have taken the series, as going to LA tied 1-1 wasn’t a great position to be in, but huge in terms of momentum swing, given LA had game 2 in the bag and let it slip away.

But its absolutely crushing to score two runs, nobody out, tying run at second, winning run at the plate, and THEN implode. And then to have to go to LA down 2-0.

Its not over, its been done before, and the Phillies have won three games in a row frequently during the regular season, but its not going to be easy.
