I think even as late as 10 years ago a candidate for statewide office would not survive something like this and would be forced to resign by their own party.
If this guy wins we are in deep trouble.

The performative efforts by District Judges are an exercise in futility — akin to trying to hold back the ocean with a bucket. Immergut cannot win this battle. There is no legal doctrine under which an inferior Article III district judge is going to dictate immigration law enforcement tactics in advance. There is no legal doctrine by which she can dictate in advance how the Executive is to protect federal property and personnel… … on a Sunday night at 8:00 pm with no briefing in front of her.

Spanberger could win the Governor race right now. All she has to do is issue this statement:
“The texts written by Jay Jones are horrible, completely unacceptable, and unforgivable for someone seeking to be the next Virginia Attorney General. I call on Jay to suspend his campaign, and I withdraw prior endorsements of his candidacy. The people of the Commonwealth of Virginia deserve better. Threats of violence have no place in the political arena.”
But I guess she is so confident she will win that she can just distance herself from the comments, but not Jones, not withdraw prior endorsements and still cruise to victory.

BREAKING: In a massive development, Secretary RFK Jr.’s CDC just recommended toddlers NOT get the chickenpox vaccine in combination with the MMR vaccine all at once – and RESCINDS the recommendation that all adults receive COVID boosters.
SANITY IS BACK. The COVID vaccines are now based on individual, informed consent, rather than a blanket recommendation. “Informed consent is back. CDC’s 2022 blanket recommendation for perpetual COVID-19 boosters deterred health care providers from talking about the risks and benefits of vaccination for the individual patient or parent.
That changes today.” – Deputy Secretary O’Neill.

AI says no protection from chickenpox vaccine for diabetes.
The chickenpox (varicella) vaccine does not prevent diabetes. The two conditions are unrelated, and extensive research has found no evidence of a link between the vaccine and a person’s risk of developing diabetes.

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) lamented text messages sent by Democratic state attorney general candidate Jay Jones talking about violence against former state House Speaker Todd Gilbert (R), calling the correspondence “demented.”
“I thought this was a joke because no one could write this. Right now in Virginia, instead of the Dems just doing the right thing, they are eagerly checking their internal polling to see how badly Jones is damaging them. Depending on the results, they will act. If there is any danger he could drag the whole ticket down, they will abandon him to his fate and demand he suspend his campaign. If it looks like the damage is minimal, they will continue the route of saying that he needs to take responsibility for this, though we are heartened that he has apologized for his words.

Fake news.
Studies indicate that the varicella (chickenpox) vaccine does not lower the risk of developing diabetes. While the varicella zoster virus (the cause of chickenpox) has been linked to an increased risk of developing type 1 diabetes, the vaccine does not appear to affect this risk
It is possible that if you were genetically pre-disposed for diabetes, that the virus could “trigger” diabetes. But the vaccine would not have prevented that.

It is somewhat confusing, but from what I read:

Actually, it should be a comforting thought.
