  45. Spanberger could win the Governor race right now. All she has to do is issue this statement:

“The texts written by Jay Jones are horrible, completely unacceptable, and unforgivable for someone seeking to be the next Virginia Attorney General. I call on Jay to suspend his campaign, and I withdraw prior endorsements of his candidacy. The people of the Commonwealth of Virginia deserve better. Threats of violence have no place in the political arena.”

But I guess she is so confident she will win that she can just distance herself from the comments, but not Jones, not withdraw prior endorsements and still cruise to victory.

  46. BREAKING: In a massive development, Secretary RFK Jr.’s CDC just recommended toddlers NOT get the chickenpox vaccine in combination with the MMR vaccine all at once – and RESCINDS the recommendation that all adults receive COVID boosters.

SANITY IS BACK. The COVID vaccines are now based on individual, informed consent, rather than a blanket recommendation. “Informed consent is back. CDC’s 2022 blanket recommendation for perpetual COVID-19 boosters deterred health care providers from talking about the risks and benefits of vaccination for the individual patient or parent.

That changes today.” – Deputy Secretary O’Neill.

    Fake news.

Studies indicate that the varicella (chickenpox) vaccine does not lower the risk of developing diabetes. While the varicella zoster virus (the cause of chickenpox) has been linked to an increased risk of developing type 1 diabetes, the vaccine does not appear to affect this risk

It is possible that if you were genetically pre-disposed for diabetes, that the virus could “trigger” diabetes. But the vaccine would not have prevented that.

    Like

  85. It is somewhat confusing, but from what I read:

    1. The chickenpox virus may act as a diabetes trigger in some cases in genetically pre-disposed people.
    2. But this is caused by the virus and not by the chickenpox disease itself. Having chickenpox illness itself is not a cause of diabetes, and the vaccine that would prevent the chickenpox disease does not prevent diabetes.
    3. The difference is that the virus COULD increase risk (but only in genetically pre-disposed people) but having the illness itself does not cause the disease.
    4. Being vaccinated against chickenpox or not does not determine whether you will have diabetes or not.

So unless Bitter was genetically pre-disposed to diabetes, the virus and the illness had nothing to do with his diabetes.

And had the vaccine been available at the time, it would have made no difference, it would not have prevented diabetes.

Actually, it should be a comforting thought.
