  3. Lots of anecdotal and reflective stories emerging about the late Charlie Kirk. People who knew little about him have looked up his prolific speeches and become “converted” to his honest kind of religiosity. To date there have been 62,000 inquires around the world seeking to open up new TPUSA chapters. He is now being compared to a Saint.

    @bennyjohnson

Cardinal Dolan says he spent the past week studying Charlie Kirk’s life, and the more he learned, the more he saw him as a modern-day Saint Paul. A fearless missionary, a passionate evangelist, and a true hero. “When I heard the tragic news, I said, ‘I wonder who he was.’ And then all of a sudden, this overwhelming, this overwhelming sense of sorrow and kind of renewal.” “And I thought, I gotta learn about this guy. And the more I learned about him, I thought, this guy’s a modern day Saint Paul. He was a missionary, he’s an evangelist, he’s a hero.” “He’s one that knew what Jesus meant when he said, the truth will set you free. And to do it, Now, I understand he was pretty blunt and he was pretty direct. He didn’t try to avoid any controversy. He didn’t even try to avoid confrontation. The difference is the way, the mode, the style that he did it, always with respect.”

I respect Cardinal Dolan’s faith but Jan should know he is also a big supporter of illegals and compares them to Jesus and his parents who were refugees from Herod.

Not sure why Bitterlaw would make that declaration at this time. Seems very premature. I myself, don’t see Charlie Kirk attaining Sainthood, but I do hope the organization he founded has an outsized positive influence on our nations culture, and in the world we live in!

  9. Hey, we finally found something that will keep Bitter from going to Mass.

Bitter was never concerned that the Pope was a rabid Marxist who was supported by people whose first order of business if they ever got into power would be the destruction of the Catholic Church and seizure of its assets, but he is going to take a stand, by God, against sainthood for Charlie Kirk.

  10. Bitter was never concerned that the Pope was a rabid Marxist

I never agreed he was a rabid Marxist because that is the most overused term at HHR. If Kirk was elevated to sainthood that would mean the Church was no longer a serious institution or interested in matters of faith.

    LOL

He spent decades advocating for the overthrow of the capitalist system and decrying money and wealth as the root of all evil but he wasn’t a rabid Marxist?

And actually, the Marxist label is used too infrequently at HHR. I am not a great fan of Jesse Kelly and his radio show, but one thing he doesn’t shy away from is always referring to the Democrats and the MSM as “communists”, which is what they are.

Anyone who thinks the rabid Marxists in the Dem party are restricted to the squad and the progressive wing and the Elizabeth Warrens is sorely deluded. If they could, the Dems would vote for socialized medicine, nationalization of the banking industry and other so called “strategic industries” and control and censorship of the media and the Internet in a nanosecond. The entire leadership of the Dem party, the Pelosies, Schumers, Jeffries etc are committed commies, bet on it. There are no more moderates in the Dem party, the so called moderates like Tester and Casey voted for every far left initiative that was proposed.

And 95% of the MSM is composed of committed Marxists.

It’s time to wake up and call it for what it is.

Something important that’s being missed with the Jimmy Kimmel saga… By spreading the vile lie that Charlie was assassinated by MAGA, the implicit message from Kimmel was clear: If you kill a conservative, we will cover for you. We will whitewash the murder because we don’t think conservatives deserve to live. Kill more. Assassinate more. We have your back. This is evil. Executives at ABC rightly received a deluge of complaints from affiliates. They asked Kimmel to apologize for lying and he refused, instead vowing to double down. Only then did he get canned. Networks like ABC, NBC, and CBS enjoy massive taxpayer supported privileges and advantages because they are supposed to contribute to the “public good.” Those privileges come with a responsibility to not knowingly spread harmful lies like the one Kimmel was spreading. Jimmy Kimmel is not a victim. He’s a liar. Jimmy Kimmel is not a martyr. Charlie is. Let’s keep that straight.

  18. Those privileges come with a responsibility to not knowingly spread harmful lies like the one Kimmel was spreading.

I disagree. I do not want the FCC or any government agency or official having the ability to determine what is “knowingly distributing” a “harmful lie” in regard to the First Amendment. The next Democrat President will completely shut down the free speech of conservatives if that is established as precedent for a broadcast license. Let the employers and the market decide what to do with a speaker who knowingly lies. Laws regarding defamation, libel, slander and fraud can deal with the knowing, harmful liar.

Kimmel was on the way to having his contract not renewed because his ratings were collapsing before his Kirk comments. Now he is portrayed as a free speech martyr. ABC and its affiliates had every right to suspend him because what he said hurt their brand and bottom line. Pressure from the FCC and Trump is a dangerous precedent and President AOC or any Democrat would love to use it against conservatives.

And fence sitters like Bitter fall for it.

Bitter is buying into the BS MSM/Dem (I know, repeating myself) meme that Kimmel was suspended due to “FCC pressure”.

It’s not the way it happened. ABC was going to suspend him anyway after an internal review established he was going to double down and claim he was misinterpreted, refuse to apologize, and attack half the country.

Now, should Carr have stayed out of it? Yes. I don’t think the FCC should be commenting about ongoing issues.

But the FCC did not fire Kimmel or even mandate it.

  28. Yes, I have thought the same about Egypt, there seems to be zero concern among modern Egyptians about digging up every mummy/tomb available. It seems there is not a lot of respect/connection to the time of the pharaos.

Of course, ancient Egyptians didn’t either, as they broke into and plundered most tombs and desecrated the mummies. It seems like there is not a lot of respect/connection to the time of the pharaohs.

These digs, mostly conducted by foreign experts, account for a lot of jobs and must bring in a huge amount of revenue for Egypt, and the relics found attract a lot of tourists, more revenue.

There was no known connection between Mr. Nadeau and Mr. DeCesare, the police said.

Two other adults were also shot and wounded in the incident, which occurred at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, a city near the New Hampshire-Massachusetts border.

The shooter who killed a man and wounded two other adults during a wedding at a New Hampshire country club on Saturday yelled “Free Palestine” as the chaos unfolded, a witness told The Associated Press.

Tom Bartelson of Pepperell, Massachusetts, told the outlet that he was at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire, for his nephew’s wedding when he heard the individual say, “The children are safe,” and, “Free Palestine.” Bartelson added that the shooter appeared to be targeting someone.”
