  3. Well Hal E. Luyah!

I can again post on here.

Thanks to whoever solved this problem.

If my trouble post is due to Bubu stealing my handle, then I say it must be stopped. In Arabic countries he would have his hand chopped off. But I say just ban him.

Rule 66 in the HHR charter?

  5. Several weeks ago, got what looked like a roofing nail in one of my tires. It was is the edge of the tread where they could not patch it. Need to buy a whole new tire.

Tire man says he can no longer get those tires. Tire not leaking air, so I decide to just drive the car with wounded tire.

The other day noticed a screw in another tire.

Take care to get it fixed. Tire man says he will look again at the other tire with roofing nail. Turns out it was just a thumb tack. Got lucky.

Praise the Lord. I’ll put another $20 in the collection plate Sunday.

    Plus more good news.

–The hummingbirds are still here feeling on the deck and entertaining us.

–It is actually RAINING here. First time in over 30 days it seems.

–Plus son’s car is FINALLY done and can pick it up today at the body shop.

Been at the Body shop since April. Fighting with son to submit claim, fighting with insurance about the claim.

Out of pocket will still be over $2,000 for deductible and other work not related to THIS accident.

    Still, the Lord is good.

Off to do Meals on Wheels deliveries.

    Wishing everyone a blessed day.

I am not an expert but I think that continuing to video a bear that has turned towards you is not the best strategy.

  15. Nineveh News:

A US District Judge has issued a preliminary injunction against newly formed Tropical Storm Gabrielle, demanding the storm turn left and cause major devastation in a red state. Failure to comply with this order will result in contempt of court charges brought against Gabrielle, as was done with every prior storm this season.

  17. What the living H%$l. Did Bunu do something to the site again. I couldn’t log in for the past couple days, someone hacked/changed my password.

he is a blight on the world. something I think he’s worse than Liberals because all he really wants is chaos and anarchy and to destroy society so there are no rules.

Anyway…Liberals are upset that this year hurricane season is more kitten than Lion. they want destruction to hit the USA so that they can blame Trump/Republicans/Conservatives.

And what is the deal with now naming snowstorms so they have something to scare people with in the winter.

  19. So here is the full explanation. Charlie Kirk was silenced by an assassin who took his life and with it, approximately 35 to 50 years of his free speech. Left wing rhetoric, filled with its lies (fascist, hitler, nazi, etc) contributed to a culture on the far left that is now more eager than ever to pull the trigger because they cannot win in an honest debate.

Bunu keeps posting lies and slander here, intended to make everyone hate Jews. As one of the site administrators, I won’t contribute toward someone reading his slander here and then committing an act of violence. So I silenced him by deleting his posts. But unlike the leftist method of silencing, all I did is remove his malicious words. Bunu is still alive and well, and I wish him a long life, though I wish he would stop with the slander and hate.

  21. IMO, the democrats become more and more of a scourge on this country and its Devine experiment with freedom and human rights. What has transpired since the murder of Charlie Kirk is beyond belief. They not only assassinated this man, shortening his promising life, but also are gleefully assassinating his reputation and character- misquoting him, ruthlessly portraying him and his outreach to youth. They attack his friends and family. There was a bomb threat at his studio this morning. They have defaced memorials erected in his honor. Their social media comments have been beyond nasty. Who are these people???

  22. So only a .25 rate cut. The corrupt Too late is well too late, as usual.

  23. A full point would have been too agressive, methinks, but I think they could have gone for .5 and been fine. The judge that kept Lisa Cook on the board screwed the country.

  24. No surprise, the deliberate and cautious fed resumes the easing cycle with a conservative 25 point cut. Thats not news. The potential needle-moving number is the year-end projection. Markets expect rates to be lowered again several times in 2025 and the fed had only one cut penciled in.

From memory, the fed project was 3.9 whereas the markets are looking for 3.7. Let’s see if the fed changes this target.

Maybe he is a bigger man than most Democrats and just shrugs off Trump’s gratuitous and unnecessary personal insults and just thinks of the country.

  28. New Jersey Governor (Quinnipiac): Sherrill (D) 51, Ciattarelli (R) 42

Following longstanding HHR tradition, lets un-skew this poll.

Considering its Quinn, probably about 5 points too high, so the race is really 48-44.

That leaves 8% undecided, which will break 2-1 to the challenger (assume Sherrill is an incumbent, since the Dems are in power). So give the R 5.5 pts and Sherill 2.5 of the undecided.

That brings it to 50.5-49.5, essentially a tied race.

  31. The key info from today was the Dot plot of expected interest rate movements by the majority of Fed governors. The dot plot shows the following –

“The Fed’s economic projections released Wednesday penciled in two more normal-sized rate cuts (50bps) for the year, with one member aiming to cut rates down by another 1.25% — far more than any other voting members. Before the announcement, FedWatch indicated that market participants thought there was a roughly 65% chance of three cuts by the end of 2025, one for each of the remaining meetings this year, including September’s.”

Hey VictrC, don’t jinx anything. Still plenty of Hurricane season left to do some damage.
