    Zzzzz….

The pussified woke NFL is afraid of getting wet on the field?

    What a surprise.

In 100 years of MLB baseball, there has been ONE instance of a lightning strike in a stadium that knocked a player unconscious. Lightning strikes inside stadiums are rarer than rocking horse turds. But it is just another instance of an increasingly pussified league that will end up with them playing touch football inside covered domes where players will never get wet or cold or hot.

Btw, I am prescient. I had checked the score after what I thought the game had ended and it was Eagles 24-20. As it turned out that was the final score. It was my fault the Cowboys lost.

I got greedy. Eagles did not cover the spread (-8) so I would have won betting they would not cover. Instead I went for the big 4 to 1+ payout where I would have won $900 on my $200 bet.

What I should have done is made both bets. I would have come out even but still had a chance on the $900.

    GFYs.

  5. Jason is always brave with somebody else’s safety. NFL games are played in rain and blizzards routinely. If you are the one player hit by lightning, it’s a big deal. He probably would have booed when my softball teams had to stop playing for 20 minutes when there was lightning or thunder and if it happened again, the clock reset for another 20 minutes.

LOL, Bitter really is the King of the False Equivalencies.

He wants to compare his teams of amateur children playing in an open field with highly professional athletes who are at 100,000x more risk of injury playing football than being hit by lightning inside a stadium.

You have to take children off fields and pools because they are not being paid to play and because the coach would have liability keeping them on the field during a thunderstorm.

But in an NFL game, advise the crowd of impending weather so THEY can decide to seek shelter or not, and keep the professionals who are paid to take risks on the field.

Soon in the wussified woke NFL they will be taken off the field because someone saw a bee on it.

  28. Bitter is still promoting vaccine mandates. But it looks like the tide is turning among the general population.

“Something profound is shifting in America’s relationship with institutional authority, and the COVID-era authoritarians are finally realizing their credibility is collapsing. For decades, Americans dutifully accepted government mandates as necessary public health measures, but that blind trust has evaporated.

What we’re witnessing isn’t just skepticism about vaccines; it’s a wholesale rejection of the “trust the experts” mentality that defined left-wing authoritarian governance for generations. The numbers tell a story that should terrify every bureaucrat who built their career on unquestioned compliance.

The change seemed to blindside even CNN’s chief data analyst, Harry Enten, who expressed genuine shock over recent polling showing growing skepticism about vaccination mandates, particularly for children. He described the trend as “one of the most interesting and, in my opinion, most troubling trend lines that we have seen.”

During the discussion, host John Berman asked Enten to break down public attitudes toward government vaccine mandates in the context of Florida’s ongoing efforts to eliminate such requirements in schools. “Another thing in the news has to do with Florida, where they’re trying to overturn all vaccine mandates, including vaccine mandates in school for children. What do the polls tell us about that?” Berman asked.

Enten responded with apparent surprise at the degree of public skepticism. He noted a dramatic decline over several decades in Americans who believe the government should require children to be vaccinated against infectious diseases. “You go back to 1991, it was 81%,” Enten said. “Then we go to 2019 at 62%. Look at where that number fell to by 2024. It was just 51%. That is a 30 point drop from 34 years ago. My goodness gracious.”

Enten relayed that the majority of Americans now only support encouraging, rather than requiring, vaccinations. “My point,” he said, “is that when it comes to requiring it, the American public has become increasingly skeptical of the idea that, in fact, the government should require kids to be vaccinated against infectious diseases.” Among Republicans, he noted, the trend is even more pronounced: the majority oppose government mandates altogether.

“This, to me, if you’re a public health official, this is perhaps the most worrying statistic that you should see,” Enten added. He pointed to polling on public attitudes regarding masks and vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that 55% of Americans now believe public health officials lied about the effectiveness of masks and vaccines. “In 2022, it was 45%. Look at where that number is now. Fifty-five percent of Americans believe that public health officials lied about Covid masks and vaccines and their effectiveness.”
