I see people have been waiting on me, I’ve no clue why, because I practically have no clue, so I’ll have to make an educated guess.
Definitely not North African, looks nothing like anything I ever saw in those climes, so not Morocco as DA said. Also not Hawaii; I was sentenced to five years out there, nothing I ever saw looked like that.
Not the Caribbean, Bahamas, FL, or GA, but would share an appearance with some place in GA? So perhaps latitudinal similar? GA is not adjacent to the Caribbean, but rather the mid to North Atlantic. Only island chains I can think are the Azores, Canaries, as well as Bermuda. One in three chance here.
I’ll go with Bermuda since it’s the closest to the US (and really no other reason, it’s a throw of the dart).

I thought you might pick up on the architecture. When you see the palm trees, you know its tropical and you might anticipate seeing Spanish architecture, but you don’t. Instead, the buildings, particularly the windows in the far background look entirely British, like what you might see in a coastal town in the UK.
So that limits it to Jamaica or Bermuda, with Bermuda being the right call.
LikeLike
Pure luck, DW; it was multiple choice; (A)zores, (B)ermuda, or (C)anaries. I never bought “when in doubt, Charlie out” for Navy school tests, so I just picked the one in the middle and called it a day. It also happens to be closer to the US than the other two.
LikeLike
Fair point on the lack of Spanish buildings, I did notice that, but it wasn’t part of my final calculus (probably should have been, though, given that the Azores and Canaries belong to Portugal and Spain, respectively).
Jamaica is practically a 3rd world sh*thole, didn’t even enter my mind as a possibility even though it’s not far away, either. This looked too nice.

LikeLike
Bermuda is not a part of the UK the way a state or province is to the US and Canada; it’s an overseas territory, NOT a Crown Dependency like Guernsey or Jersey in the Channel Islands. Thus, it’s legit to refer to its name as though it were quasi independent since it has a very high degree of autonomy.

Tina, a President can remove a Fed Chair “for cause” before the end of his term, which has typically been interpreted as incompetence, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office. I wonder if this is laying the predicate for his firing. Personally, I would hope Trump just lets Powell finish out his remaining term, since he’s dealing with so much and doesn’t need more controversy, but this could be the basis for a firing. At minimum, having this aired now could be an attempt to send a message to Powell. We shall see.

Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution – Encyclopedia …
The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ratified in 1868, was primarily designed to grant citizenship and equal protection under the law to formerly enslaved people, addressing the inequalities following the Civil War. It also aimed to ensure due process and equal protection under the law at the state level, extending these rights beyond the federal leveL.

BREAKING: Regarding the ongoing ICE & Border Patrol raid at a marijuana farm in Camarillo: Three senior federal officials tell me that DHS has a criminal judicial search warrant signed off on by a federal judge for 8 USC 1324, harboring of illegal aliens.
I’m told the operation is ongoing, and will likely result in “hundreds” of arrests when the dust settles, making it potentially one of the largest single operations we’ve seen during the Trump administration.

1. The Department of Health and Human Services is restricting illegal aliens from 13 additional public programs, including Head Start, health workforce scholarships and loans, mental health and substance abuse support, family planning, and more
2. The Department of Education is ending free tuition for illegal aliens at post-secondary career and technical education programs
3. The Department of Agriculture is restricting illegal aliens from federally funded food assistance programs
4. The Department of Labor is barring illegal aliens from accessing federal workforce development resources and grants
5. The Department of Justice is closing longstanding loopholes that have allowed illegal aliens to access taxpayer-funded benefits
