There’s a lot of tension around the Ed Martin confirmation, along with reasons swirling around as to why he is siding with the Schiff and Schumer’s of Congress. Bitter/Jason will only scoff at the questions being asked regarding Tillis’s “No” to a confirmation of someone so capable and experienced as Ed Martin – someone who has already made positive inroads in DC as acting US Attorney in DC. Tillis ironically did not object to voting for dem nominees like Merrick Garland, but stands on some kind of principled excuses to throw a monkey wrench into voting for someone many conservatives support.
”Tillis has gone along with the media’s narrative from day one. He certified the 2020 election without question and refused to call out the obvious federal setup on January 6. He has shown zero interest in the pipe bomb cover-up or any of the gaping holes in the “official” story. And now, he is actively working to block someone who could finally crack the case wide open. If Ed Martin is confirmed as US Attorney in DC, the regime loses complete control of the narrative. That’s likely why Tillis is working so hard to keep him out.”

Zzzzzz….
I don’t have a problem with Martin.
I think Tillis is entitled to vote his conscience.
Both can be true.
And btw, I agree with Tillis that EVERYONE who trespassed the Capitol on Jan 6 should have been charged, no exceptions. No free lunch, no “I was invited to go in”, no “the FBI made me go in”, etc. As Bitter points out, “every single J6 rioter was responsible for their own actions”, nobody else.
What I don’t agree with is the fact many of the J6 rioters were overcharged, over sentenced, and subjected to an entirely different system of justice than the George Floyd rioters, guilty of much greater crimes than the j6 rioters.
If I was a senator, I would look forward, not backwards, and put j6 behind us, and confirm Martin. But again, Tillis is not there to rubber stamp Trump’s appointments, I respect his decision to vote the way he sees fit.
The participants of J6 are responsible for their behavior. Their constitutional rights were violated. They were far overcharged and did not get equal treatment under the law. Scott Bessent’s testimony in a House Appropriation’s hearing was damning in referencing how the former administration kept tract of treasury payments.
”BESSENT: Well…it’s a bit mystifying why they weren’t in place. And what we are seeing is that there was a very complacent upper level of management in many departments…across the entire government. What I can say at Treasury is that of the 1.5 billion payments…we send out every year, they are required to have something called a TAS — the Treasury Account Symbol. We discovered that more than one-third — one-third — of those payments did not have a TAS number. So, as the Appropriations Committee, you should be shocked by that because: How can a payment be tracked back to an appropriation? Only through the TAS number. So there was no accountability. So that is why the 450 organizations that sit above Treasury, where Treasury acts as the paymaster, are unable to pass an audit. So, we have cracked down on that. D*ckliss was also for protecting Fuhrer Mulehead. This despite the sc suggesting that a sc can be removed by the president.
CONFIRMATION: Don’t buy into the FUD. If Senator Thom Tillis won’t let Ed Martin’s appointment move to the full Senate for a vote one of two things will happen: 1. Tillis is removed from the committee (very hard) or 2. Trump will withdraw Martin’s nomination and submit a new one resetting the 120 day clock. There is no scenario where Trump would allow the current 120 clock to expire on May 20th and simply allow Judge Boasberg to appoint the US Attorney for DC. Anyone saying this is spreading baseless fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Tillis is a traitor and should be removed from all committees and ostracized from the caucus.
Tillis has been wobbly on voting for other nominations acting like a sliver in the behind of the R party. With so many positive comments flooding Congress approving Martin, it can reasonably be deduced that Tillis is not someone you can count on to assist in passing the agenda people in NC thought you would support.
If Ron DeSantis were president, and was 100% behind such an appointment, I bet Bitter would not be so eager to side with a Republican like Tillis acting out and basically siding with the Dems.
I don’t think “conscious” has anything to do with Tillis’s vote. It’s more to do with what personally benefits him, not representing the constituency who voted him into office.
By all accounts Martin is a good man, not a scumbag like the one who occupied the office previously – Graves I think was the name, who let DC crime run amuck while he chased down the image of every person seen either inside or outside the Capitol building January 6, 2021. I’m disappointed in your judgment call on this one, Bitter.
To reiterate something I have repeatedly said: Because I don’t support all the aid and monies going over for the war effort in Ukraine…because I see Zelenskyy as a similar dictator to Putin because of how he has stripped so many freedoms and rights from the people of Ukraine…it’s a false deduction, on your part, I support the Russian dictator, Putin. I also don’t Support Madura or Xi who are having a summit in Moscow to celebrate Russia defeating the Nazis in WW2. Dictators are not on my list of good people. Full stop….
I support Tillis’ right to vote as he sees fit. I would probably vote for Martin despite his support for trespassers, rioters and criminals. Both can be true.
Martin defended those who had been unjustly charged for offenses that were misdemeanors or acts that deserved nothing more than “tickets,” not years imprisoned, oftentimes without bail or a speedy trial, to then be sentenced to more time than rapists, murderers are given. Most people have no idea about the injustice delivered by DC jurists and the DA – mostly politically motivated rather than delivering real justice.
I have always said most of the J6 mob were overcharged and over-sentenced. You wanted the ones who attacked law enforcement pardoned, too. Lawyers can choose their clients unless they are appointed by the court. Even then, they can refuse the appointment. I would not have chosen to represent or accepted an appointment to represent anybody who went into the Capitol. It was 100% their choice and I would not be involved with them.
The fact you can’t seem to differentiate real criminal acts leading to just sentencing, from legitimate protests populated by people with no criminal records, leading to unconscionable incarcerations and 4 years of continuous swat team harassments, is so unsympathetic and myopic to me.
Some of those charged with “attacking” the police were simply shielding defenseless protesters being hit over and over again with police batons. One woman, not recognized for being a victim of such police brutality, died from such a beating. The man trying to stop the baton blows was charged with attacking the police.

After 4 years of vindictive, horrendously politically motivated indictments, which would have continued had Trump lost the election, it was a justified act to pardon everyone. When more is revealed (hopefully) how involved the Intel departments, Speaker Pelosi etc. were in turning a permitted, peaceful event into a riot, in which congress could be disrupted enough to insure Biden was seated as president, despite all the receipts of fraud, maybe those who incarcerated will be shown as the ones who really deserved incarceration.
“I have always said most of the J6 mob were overcharged and over-sentenced. You wanted the ones who attacked law enforcement pardoned, too. Lawyers can choose their clients unless they are appointed by the court. Even then, they can refuse the appointment. I would not have chosen to represent or accepted an appointment to represent anybody who went into the Capitol. It was 100% their choice and I would not be involved with them.”
The Cult has no issue with Martin representing clients who attacked law enforcement. The Cult would freak over any lawyer who represented a BLM member who attacked law enforcement.
The U.S. welcomes the successful rescue of all hostages held by the Maduro regime at the Argentinian Embassy in Caracas. Following a precise operation, all hostages are now safely on U.S. soil. Maduro’s illegitimate regime has undermined Venezuela’s institutions, violated human rights, and endangered our regional security.
Dr. Casey Means has been nominated to be surgeon general. I think she’s an excellent replacement, and especially like her positions on the hazards of over-medicating while neglecting the value of having a nutritious diet. She is considered a holistic doctor, one who takes in and evaluates one’s health along three verticals——> mental, spiritual and physical aspects. This will mark such a different approach in seeking better medical outcomes other than just relying on pill-popping.
Tillis is such a hypocritical jerk. He admits Martin has done a fine job in DC lowering crime and remedying some of the illegitimate acts of Graves, the previous DC DA. But, then faults Martin for having anything to do with the defense of the J6ers. The frosting on his two-faced actions is that he professes to have a great relationship with Trump. What an obtuse way to show it by stabbing Trump’s nominee in the back.
Dr. Means is not “anti-medical,” rather she holds a broader picture of what both causes disease conditions, as well as what remedies can be applied to mediate or cure them, other than just using pharmaceuticals. It’s like looking at energy resources in all the applications that are available, instead of reducing them to let’s say non fossil fuel ones like Biden was trying to do.
Zzzzzzzzz. Why would I represent people who refuse to take ANY responsibility for their OWN actions? I lost interest when I hear about “Federal assets.”
You’d think that the Pure Law-and-order pair here would still be miffed about the thugs chaining the doors of the Seattle federal courthouse with people inside. But, instead that would be retribution. Total frauds….
Zzzzzzz I said riots should be put down with force. I would have had armed National Guard deployed Philadelphia during the George Floyd riot. Chi can’t accept it.
You’d think that the Pure Law-and-order pair here would still be miffed about the thugs chaining the doors of the Seattle federal courthouse with people inside”

“What I don’t agree with is the fact many of the J6 rioters were overcharged, over sentenced, and subjected to an entirely different system of justice than the George Floyd rioters, guilty of much greater crimes than the j6 rioters“
Right, but you’d call it retribution if the FBI investigated now.
Congresswoman Luna introduced legislation to repeal the Patriot Act in it’s entirety.
“Since the passage of the USA Patriot Act in the aftermath of 9/11, intelligence agency officials have used their mass surveillance tools to settle personal scores, interfere in elections, and spy on untold numbers of innocent Americans,” Luna’s post continued. “This abuse must come to an end!”
How Bitter translates the comments of others is why I mistrust lawyer-speak. Every point Bitter made was a total distortion, if not reversal, of what most here have emphasized in their pros and cons of various issues or people.
French President Emmanuel Macron called on the United States and the European Union to lift sanctions against Syria on Wednesday after hosting the Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa on his first visit to Europe.
You’re a joke, Jan. I stand by what I said. The idea that any Cult member that reads conspiracy blogs sees the pros and cons of various issues in laughable. The Cult sees Trump’s side only and anybody who disagrees is a RINO or traitor.

Between 2004 and 2015, HHR was united on most issues. There were some who supported Deadender losers like COD, Akin. Angle, Buck, etc. but relations were good. That disappeared when Trump came down the escalator.
The Trump tariffs worked well for the American ppl bc it prevented the Iran hoax. Trump got overwhelmed by the economic chaos, and the plan to invade Iran failed bc of economic calamity.
There is no way he could have launched the Iran hoax when all of his political capital is being used on trade war.
“Populists went one way and conservatives the other.”
-Yet Trump keeps getting a larger share of the Republican Party along with independents and minority/democrat party voters, while a guy like Tillis can’t get 50% in NC, and his vote share went down from one election to the next.
Trump is governing as a conservative, on every issue.
Tillis? He votes for Merrick Garland but not for Ed Martin.
Will you all please shut up about Ed Martin? No one cares.
There are a couple of hundred nominees that still are sitting in Senate committees waiting for their names to be sent to the floor. Talk about Ed Martin if and when he makes it to the full Senate.
Trump keeps getting the voters to come out and vote for him.
Then, every 2 years, there are several Republicans who, after they don’t back the Republican in the White House, lose an election, and they complain about some voters staying home, instead of looking at themselves and realizing “I should have supported the Party and the ideas being pushed by the President.”
You are obsessed with whatever your leaders have told you to be obsessed about.
The United States will not stand or fall because of Ed Martin. Most of you had probably never heard of him until a week ago…..and now he’s your favorite guy. Pathetic.
“Between 2004 and 2015, HHR was united on most issues. There were some who supported Deadender losers like COD, Akin. Angle, Buck, etc. but relations were good. That disappeared when Trump came down the escalator.”
-Heh!
He is blaming Trump, who got the most votes ever from the American people (YES, I am ignoring Biden 2020!), for people like Tillis who won’t approve his nominees after having approved Biden’s.
A couple of weeks ago, Ed Martin was doing a great job at his present temporary position. There was no reason to complain or mention him.
Now, he is in jeopardy of losing that position.
So, people who really like the United States, are hoping to reverse the opinion of one a-hole who won’t vote to get him thru to a vote for a more permanent position.
Maybe you should join us?
And while you are at it, tell Congress to get a move on codifying some of those Trump EOs into real legislation.
The United States will not stand or fall because of Ed Martin. Most of you had probably never heard of him until a week ago…..and now he’s your favorite guy. Pathetic”
Really.
Trump should appoint someone else and move on. Ed Martin is not the only person who can do this job.
Trump keeps getting the voters to come out and vote for him.
Maybe he could ask voters to come out and vote for others, too. Georgia would have had 2 Republican Senators if he did instead of interfering with stimulus checks.

Martin defended those who had been unjustly charged for offenses that were misdemeanors or acts that deserved nothing more than “tickets,” not years imprisoned, oftentimes without bail or a speedy trial, to then be sentenced to more time than rapists, murderers are given.
