The legacy Aggregators were no match for the HHR’s unique formula for aggregating the polling data into a predictive average for the 2024 election. The chart below compares the results across the 7 battleground states as well as the other two states that finished with a gap less than 5 points.

I was questioning Trump’s choice of Kelly Loeffler for Agricultural Secretary, as she seemed to have no background or experience with agricultural issues. However, after reading the above article my opinion has changed.

Surprise, surprise….Brooke Rollins has just been nominated to the Agriculture Secretary position, rather than the much rumored Kelly Loeffler.
“From her upbringing in the small and Agriculture-centered town of Glen Rose, Texas, to her years of leadership involvement with Future Farmers of America and 4H, to her generational Family Farming background, to guiding her four kids in their show cattle careers, Brooke has a practitioner’s experience, along with deep Policy credentials in both Nonprofit and Government leadership at the State and National levels”

a couple things. First of all Columbia won a share of the Ivy League title today. It’s their first title since 1961!!!! Most likely no one here was old enough to have rejoiced in that, except Walt, who was there when the Denison’s defeated the Neanderthals 3-2 in the first rock throwing contrat
next, doesn’t loefller going to agriculture open up a hyper competitive seat in GA or does The gov kemp get to pick her replacement. He should pick himself because he can hold on to the seat.

ooops. Forget part two of that. Revel in part one though. At this rate my kids grand kids might be around for the next Ivy title
perspective. My grandfather was still fairly young the last time they won it!!

Within days of Kamala’s trip to Munich in 2022, where she touted our strong alliance with NATO’s president in standing against any invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Russia launched its invasion.
Joe Biden’s handlers have now given the go-ahead to use ATacms long range missiles to use against Russia. Ukrainians don’t know how to launch these missiles, so the US is apparently doing the hands-on work in our continuing proxy war, rapidly turning it into something more serious. Russia has countered with a stern speech by Putin, punctuated by his use of an Oreshnik hypersonic missile launched into Ukraine. We have had no reports on the damage done by this missile. What we do know is that there have been no counter measures developed to stop it. We also have no parity with Russia, having no hypersonic missiles of our own ready to go. In the meantime the UK is attacking Russia with Storm Shadow missiles, and Macron has now given permission to use their own variety of long range missiles, “Scalp” missiles, against Russia.
If Russia responds aggressively after a threat is ratcheted up – invaded Ukraine after Harris’s trip, using uncontainable missiles after the deployment of ATacms —- why wouldn’t the next step of Putin’s be to use missiles with nuclear warheads attached? After all, the ones now being used against his country are capable of having a nuclear warhead attached to them too – something impossible to differentiate until after they are in the air.
Whether people want to admit it or not, the signs of a global atrocity in the making are front and center….reminds me of the Cuban Missile Crisis, except no one seems to be taking this current crisis seriously.

Can you please stop with the Ukraine stuff. This is NOT OUR PROXY WAR. This was an act of aggression by the Russians into a sovereign nation. Stop, and I mean it, just stop with the anti-US tripe, and yes, constantly denigrating our government for helping defend a country against an invasion is just that. The people spewing the Ron Paul talking points have NO CLUE what is really going on there. You’ve been duped by this anti-military types who constantly talk garbage in order to make people think that the “spending” going on there will go to our border if we just stopped helping. This is not how the real world works. This will end with a negotiated settlement when Trump takes over, but in the meantime, if Ukraine strikes deep into Russia GOOD!! It will make Trump’s job easier to negotiate an even better settlement.

changing speeds, why is it every liberal media organization or Democrats begins any sentence about Kamala Harris with, “she was the most qualified candidate of our lifetime, or eminently qualified, etc etc etc
I would disagree wholeheartedly. She was, without a doubt, the most unqualified Presidential candidate of my lifetime. Hell, even Dukakis was a long term Governor, maybe 1968? could have been, but seriously, what has she ever done in her life to make her qualified?
She got into law school on a special dispensation (some hardship category). Never held a private industry job. Finished dead last when running for the nomination of her party…

Jan always ignores the real global atrocity was Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
Unfortunately, Trump is going to support a terrible deal to end the war because he is beholden to the Jan/Putina wing of the party

Vic, my post had no talking points. It was not anti-US, nor was there any reference to border spending either. It just laid out the incremental way this war has gone – from an invasion into a neighboring country after a U.S. meeting with NATO, to long range missiles with nuclear capability being used, to Russia’s retaliation of a new hypersonic missile with nuclear capability that no one can stop and no one else has. To keep saying there is no global threat is myopically stunning. Because of Kennedy’s assassination 61 years ago speeches by JKF have been highlighted, which is why the Cuban Missile crisis seems like a similar type of international tension that was seriously acknowledged and then fortunately defused. IMO, we are being foolish to not be more proactive in defusing what is now happening between Russia, Ukraine, Europe and the U.S. Also, no one talks about Ron Paul but you. And, if Mexico was using Russian or Chinese artillery, lobbing them into our back yard, we would be saying they were in a proxy war with the US. as well.

”Jan always ignores the real global atrocity was Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.”
Another “atrocity” is to keep funding an overseas war, in order to keep the fighting going, when most civilians want to negotiate a quick conclusion. Gallup’s Aug-Oct 2024 poll showed a “decisive shift” where 52% wanted a quick negotiation to end the war, while 38% wanted to keep fighting (like you do) to “victory.” Included in the data was that even earlier enthusiasm for the war was not near the front lines, while people living in the more embattled eastern and southern regions were less inclined to support the war. However, after 2 + years the sentiment to end it is more widespread.

If this were a proxy war it would have been over a long time ago because we wouldn’t have been sending 1970’s era helicopters from Zimbabwe that had to be pieced together from multiple aircraft. We would have sent in high powered equipment that would have easily defeated Russians. Again, you honestly don’t know what you are talking about. With all due respect, as I do like you and appreciate your contribution here.
But, your talking points are straight out of the coward Ron Paul playbook, down to the terminology. It makes me sad to see otherwise very intelligent people adopting his policies.

Vic, my so called “talking points” are derived from a myriad of articles, interviews, transcripts, and podcasts – none of them from Ron Paul. I’ve never been drawn to the guy, and have never listened or even read anything authored from him.
proxy war noun
As for the true definition of proxy war it only describes a major power (US) fighting indirectly thru a third party (Ukraine). It does not stipulate having the most modern weaponry to do so. Yes, Russia instigated the kinetic war, but the U.S. and UK early on scrambled a peace agreement both sides would have signed. Plus, as one Navy Seal’s podcast reported today, just “follow the money.” Billions made to arm the war in weapons and unaudited aid; billions, maybe trillions, to rebuild the country; then there are the minerals, farm land etc for companies to come in and profit from. IMO, if there was no profiteering involved there would have been no war. Promises would have been made saying NATO was off limits, and small areas of land already occupied by Russians would have been ceded over to Russia, saving upwards of a million lives and untold turmoil to the people of Ukraine.

If you google “why Kamala lost the election” you get tons of articles that have lots of lists as to why she lost. Very few go to the “anti-woman” voters or “anti-person of color” thing. But almost none of the many articles I have perused go to the disorganization of the Harris campaign or the fact that she is such a hard person for staff to get along with.
