So where is eveyrone, taking a night out? I just got back from a five hour round trip to a soccer tournament where the young one scored the winning goal in the first game!!
Went to a musical performance at Shepherd University. WAs a fund raiser to benefit the NC, etc. flood victims and communities in Appalachia that were hit by the hurricane and floods. It was a great show. Lots of variety in the music. the professors and music students at SU put it together and performed. They had a slice so=how in the background showing the flood area and mountains in good times, and immediately after the devastation and during recovery operations. Got some dust in my eyes…especially when they sang the Hazel Dickens song, “West Virginia, My Home”. I know the words to that song and it was one of the first songs I learned to play on the guitar.
Hazel Dickens only had a 6th grade education, but was not too many years ago (and before her death), SU awarded her an honorary degree. She wrote the song after she left WV and moved to a rented row house Baltimore.
West Virginia, oh, my home West Virginia’s where I belong In the dead of the night in the still and the quiet I slip away like a bird in flight Back to those hills – the place that I call home
It’s been years now since I left there And this city life’s about got the best of me I can’t remember why I left so free What I wanted to do – what I wanted to see But I can sure remember where I come from
West Virginia, oh, my home West Virginia’s where I belong In the dead of the night in the still and the quiet I slip away like a bird in flight Back to those hills – the place that I call home
Well I’ve paid the price for the leavin’ This city life’s not the one I thought I’d find Well let me live, love – let me cry When I go just let me die Among the friends who’ll remember when I’m gone
West Virginia, oh, my home West Virginia’s where I belong In the dead of the night in the still and the quiet I slip away like a bird in flight Back to those hills – the place that I call home
Home, home, home! Oh I can see it so clear in my mind Home, home, home! I can almost smell the honeysuckle vine In the dead of the night in the still and the quiet I slip away like a bird in flight Back to those hills, the place that I call home, home

I don’t think its worth dying on this hill. Cut the losses now.
“It’s simply that Matt Gaetz has a very long, steep hill to get across the finish line,” said Sen. Kevin Cramer (R., N.D.). “And it will require the spending of a lot of capital, and you just have to ask: if you could get him across the finish line, was it worth the cost?”
Cramer said he didn’t think Gaetz would have the votes to be approved by the Judiciary Committee, much less to be confirmed by the full Senate.
One person familiar with the conversations among Republican senators said “significantly more than four” of them are opposed, which would be enough to tank Gaetz’s chances. “People are pissed,” the person said.
Other estimates ranged from more than a dozen Republican “no” votes to more than 30. “It won’t even be close,” another person said.
Saw the fight (Tyson/Paul). Always thought that Mike Tyson would give Ali the greatest match. But those are thoughts are of yesterday and of another time.
Mike, your mind is still here but your body is betraying you….like some of us. Time to give it up and retire for good and use your expertise in other venues.
Some of the undercard was really good. The Berrios Ramos fight was truly a great fight, and the woman’s fight was also good.
Tyson looked good in round 1 and 2…then the only undefeated in the world, Father Time, caught up quickly and Tyson could barely stand, much less punch, the last five rounds. That Paul couldn’t even hurt him says a lot about how Paul really is as a fighter. Put him in the ring with Prime Time Mike, or any of the other great heavyweights, and its a first round KO. Did you see how low his hands were after getting knocked around by Tyson round one.
Very anti-climactic, but have to give Tyson all the “cred” in the world. He was Sigma for just getting into the ring, and still has rizz that others will never have.
Translation from my son’s review of the fight: Give Tyson credit for even getting into the ring. People still going to show him mad respect for doing that. Name me any other 58 year old that would get into the ring with a 27 year old 225lb boxer.
Now the grifter wants trump to negotiate this deal.
UKRAINE: Zelensky, upon learning about Germany's peace talks with Putin, makes it clear that direction is a 'Pandora's Box' and seems to prefer that President Trump negotiate with Putin next year. The Ukrainian president had a sense of urgency to end the war. pic.twitter.com/e8yj3XYOWr
It may also disappoint some here if Big Z is willing to negotiate away some territory to end the war.”
So how much sovereign Ukrainian territory are YOU willing to “negotiate away” and how many millions of Ukrainians are YOU willing to have Putin enslave?
Trump does not have any “plan” for Ukraine, except as the Putin toadies want, surrender sovereign Ukrainian territory.
His best “plan” would be to tell the Russians to get the f–k out of Ukraine or we will arm Ukraine with offensive weapons that will allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russia at will.
But because the R party is now isolationist and blind to America’s interests, he would not have enough support in the party to do that, and horrors, would need Dem votes.
He should tell Putin, if you think $100 billion in aid is a lot, how about we send $500 billion?
Zzzzzzz The surrender plan was “give us territory, install a pro-Putin government, and surrender all sovereignty.” Thankfully, Zelensky and Ukrainians were not p*ssies or stupid.
He thought he was going to win. Throughout the summer, into September, polls consistently showed him ahead, sometimes as much as 10 points, mostly around 6 or so, He believed them. He never campaigned in Central PA, for example, did not see ONE event advertised for this area.
His ads were 90% geared to 3 different attack themes
HEDGE FUND – McCormick’s hedge fund invested in China, China is a fentanyl producer, so McCormick got “rich selling fentanyl”. It was supposed to be a killer charge, the problem is no one believes that, no matter how many ads you run. It was a ridiculous argument even for the low info voter.
MCORMICK LIVED IN CONNECTICUT for 15 years. Yawnnn…..McCormick is PA born and bred, the fact he lived and worked in another state is like, so what? Oh, and he is rich. Yeah, he went to West Point, has a Master’s and PhD from Princeton, and ran the largest hedge fund company in the world, Bridgewater and was successful. So?
ABORTION. A horrible issue to campaign for Casey, who was supposed to be a pro-life moderate. Running on abortion just showcased what a fraud he was on the issue, he was now voting for no restriction on abortion up to day of birth despite being “pro life” for his first 3 campaigns.
In the end, Casey thought his name and cheap shots at McCormick was enough to win. Nothing more was needed.
Jason sez….”His best “plan” would be to tell the Russians to get the f–k out of Ukraine or we will arm Ukraine with offensive weapons that will allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russia at will.”
Might have been a good idea from the beginning, but Hero of Ukraine Joe Biden chose not to do so. He’s the man with the plan, though.
Trump doesn’t have a plan! Lol, I love this place.
There are a lot of Dem senators I loathe for their ideology.
But frankly, the 2 senators I most wanted to lose were Casey and Tester.
That is because they built their careers on the huge lie that they were “moderates”. Tester and Casey haven’t been moderates for decades. They voted for every left wing proposal. They voted for eliminating the filibuster. They voted for doing away with any checks on election integrity. They supported statehood for DC. They voted for monstrous spending bill and trillions in infrastructure boondoggles. They supported green new deal ideas that would gut the economy.
We were saved from all that by Manchin and Sinema, not Tester and Schumer.
Zzzzzzz The surrender plan was “give us territory, install a pro-Putin government, and surrender all sovereignty.” Thankfully, Zelensky and Ukrainians were not p*ssies or stupid.”
Right, if that is the “plan” Johnson “blew up”, we owe him an immense debt of gratitude.
“Donald Trump’s decision to nominate Rep. Matt Gaetz for attorney general has Justice Department veterans petrified and warning of a crisis in the department marked by chaos and revenge.”
Same reaction as by some at HHR. The Ostriches are very worried….. Maybe that’s the plan.
Ed Morrissey at Hot Air thinks Gaetz is cooked and has some ideas.
“Let’s hope the next nominee for AG serves to rally Republicans than pick a food fight. Ted Cruz or Mike Lee would likely get unanimity, and both come from solid GOP states that would appoint a Republican replacement. Or Trump could claim that he confused his Matts and go with Matthew Whitaker, who did a credible job as acting AG between Jeff Sessions and Bill Barr for three months after the 2018 midterms. Mike Rogers might be another choice; he’s under consideration for FBI Director, but he’d make a solid choice for AG too.
After Gaetz, the Senate GOP caucus will likely give Trump some latitude, but … not this much. “
Big Z seems to like Trump’s plan better than Germany’s. Yet I read here that Trump has no plan at all other than to abandon Ukraine. Maybe he promised Big Z a room at MAL to sell out his people.
Kramer is sending Trump a message here. He should heed it.
“It’s simply that Matt Gaetz has a very long, steep hill to get across the finish line,” said Sen. Kevin Cramer (R., N.D.). “And it will require the spending of a lot of capital, and you just have to ask: if you could get him across the finish line, was it worth the cost?”

Other estimates ranged from more than a dozen Republican “no” votes to more than 30. “It won’t even be close,” another person said.
Jason sez…”Tell Putin to get the f–k out or we will arm Zelensky to the teeth AND admit Ukraine to NATO.”
I predicted months ago you and Bitter would want direct involvement of US troops. That’s what occurs when Ukraine is admitted to NATO. I’m glad you finally admitted it.
Hey Bitter, you think Dave Sunday could prosecute these people once in office as PA AG?
Democrat commissioners Robert Harvie Jr. and Diane Marseglia voted in favor of accepting 124 illegal ballots, knowing they were breaking the law. They simply didn’t care.
“I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country, and people violate laws anytime they want,” Marseglia said. “So for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention to it.”
“NATO is a DEFENSIVE organization with dozens of members.”
The NATO Charter requires all members to defend any member attacked. Admitting Ukraine requires all members to defend them. It’s okay for you to admit it if you want US troops involved. If you don’t, NATO membership must await the end of the war.
I is a genius. I stated many times here the Dems were barking up the wrong tree on abortion.
Abortion was “by far the most prevalent topic in 2024 Democratic messaging,” Politico reported, “beating out health care, the economy and immigration.” The Harris campaign’s final round of advertisements mentioned abortion more than any other subject, according to the Wesleyan Media Project.
The strategy failed. Instead, many voters who support abortion access voted for Donald Trump and other Republicans, including in states with abortion initiatives on the ballot”
Why isn’t the RNC, or McCormick himself, suing the PA election board, who are openly defying the courts in counting ballots beyond the time allowed, as well as unacceptable ballots? What’s going to happen if, in the process of the endless recount, Casey has more ballots and “wins?”
The fact is, no matter what deal is struck to end the war, NATO membership is the ONLY way to ensure Russia won’t attack Ukraine in the future, unless you believe Putin would abide to anything he signs.
Zelenskyy will rue the day he didn’t participate in the original deal, where he would have retained most of Ukraine’s territory, and villages, communities and people would not have been needlessly destroyed. But, the two armchair warriors here will never reconsider routing for the death and destruction choice.
Jason says he wants Ukraine in NATO. This would require US troop involvement. Then he denies he supports troops involvement, and that he’s bluffing.
Trump will threaten some strong stuff with Russia because his ego will not want it to appear he gave in. He’s not going to tell the world what those things are – some of the usual Ostriches would also complain if he did.
I know the Ostriches will be sad, but that war will be ending soon. Their best hope is that Donald Trump does not want to appear weak. Of course, they will hate any negotiated settlement. The only hope of an endless war was to vote for Harris.
A. shows Trump is Trump and digs in his heals, forces the Senate to deny recess appointments, Gaetz does NOT get confirmed and then Trump goes to war with all the Republicans in the Senate and splits Republicans nationwide and creates a bad situation and mayhem thus poisoning the well–even before he is sworn in as president and at the same time gives the left and MSM huge ammo to begin beating him over the head with for the next 4 years.
B. pulls the nomination and nominates someone with more competence and less baggage.
****************
I predict option
C. Pulls Gaetz nomination and puts us Jason as nominee to head Justice Dept.
Wait…no, that is Jason to be Under Sec. of Defense in charge of Ukraine
Zzzzzz I said the day the war started that Ukraine should have been admitted to NATO. Putin would have backed off then and would back down now. Admitting Ukraine does not require US troops to immediately go to Ukraine. Indeed, it prevents it. How many NATO nations has Russia invaded?
Walt, option C., is intriguing, for sure, and would certainly be more entertaining than A or B. I hope he selects B, but I think he views turning DOJ & FBI upside down as Job One. Whoever it is will be a firebrand, imo.
Zelenskyy will rue the day he didn’t participate in the original deal, where he would have retained most of Ukraine’s territory, and villages, communities and people would not have been needlessly destroyed.
Maybe because Jan is French, she is willing to agree to surrender. Of course, she also believes Putin would have honored any “deal.” Ironically, she reveres rioters who attacked law enforcement on J6 as patriots and freedom fighters while condemning Zelensky and the Ukrainians who fought back against an invasion.
“President Trump’s choice as Under Secretary of Defense in charge of Ukraine has so far had mixed results.
Jason, a military veteran, PA llama farmer and foreign born–but later naturalized U.S. citizen and former self -professed A-Hole, has for 9 months been leading the negotiation for an end to the war in Ukraine. Both the Ukrainians and the Russians on the “Peace Panel” with Jason have publicly expressed their exasperation with Jason.
They say they are tired of his bullying, mischaracterizing of their positions, and to their emails they send Jason filled with ideas and proposals, Jason email replies are filled with lots of “zzzzz” and “GFY” and “If you don’t like this Peace Panel, go start your own.”
The others on the panel also constantly complain a lot about Jason’s combative nature and demeanor and that he seems to relish and enjoy picking fights with the others over insignificant things.”
Bitter and Jason want Russia to leave every square inch of Ukraine. To do so they will admit them to NATO stat, hoping to scare Putin into complete retreat. So, they are willing to gamble American lives that a cornered Putin will accept utter humiliation and fully retreat.
The time for that move was before the invasion. But the Hero of Ukraine, and Lover of Everything Ostrich, Joe Biden just sat there. The Ostriches will blame Trump for the outcome anyway.
Bitter, to you negotiating the end of the war is “surrendering.” However, after over two excruciating years of war, where even Germany is trying to renew relations with Russia, I think it’s long overdo a resolution is reached with Russia, after which Ukrainian families can rebuild their lives. As it is, winter is coming, and more front line troops are dying than can be replaced. Also, there are talks about restarting elections in Ukraine, possibly giving the country a new president.
“Zenskyy will rue the day he didn’t participate in the original deal, where he would have retained most of Ukraine’s territory, and villages, communities and people would not have been needlessly destroyed.”
Normally I ignore Walt’s silly and constant attacks on me, especially considering he has survived 99.999999999999999% of the people he has attacked before. I figure my odds of surviving any conflict with him are too infinitesimal to calculate.
But he is getting a little too big for his old britches.
So let me make it clear.
Walt, you don’t get to tell me what I should discuss, how I should discuss, what I should say or what I should think.
If you don’t like my posts, you are free to ignore them.
No chance the settlement of the Ukraine war involves a return to pre-invasion borders. The fault for this resides with Hero of Ukraine and Patron Saint of The Ostriches, Joe Biden. It was Joe who did nothing as Vlad put troops on the border, and then put crippling restrictions on the use of weapons. All well convincing the world that they were “concerned” about Ukraine.
The Ostriches will blame Trump for the outcome of Joe’s eff up.
The Barrios – Ramos fight was a really good one. Both beat on each other, and the fact that it ended in a draw was honestly the correct outcome. Barrios dominated early, Ramos later.
The Tyson fight showed, again, that father time is undefeated. You could absolutely see flashes of old Tyson, and if this had been a three round fight Tyson would have won. But he was done by the middle of round 3. He tried to do some things he used to do, but his reaction time was so much slower than it was before. He used to have hands of lightning, no one saw what was coming. But he just couldn’t pull the trigger. His legs were like spaghetti by round four. The fact that he lasted ten rounds of the best Paul could give should tell Paul to never fight again. A 27 year old Tyson would have crushed Paul in the middle of round one, hell, he stunned him and almost put him on his back.
The stream was AWFUL!!! Who the hell thought that Rosie Perez would be acceptable as a lead commentator on the biggest fight in a long time. WTF
And finally Walt, if you disagree with any of my positions, man-up and state where you disagree, instead of taking little cheap pot shots. Being a snake in the grass and making little snide remarks is easy, let’s hear what you think. But maybe you are just another poster that wants a free lunch and a free pass? Join the club.
Btw, maybe that is Bitter’s position. But it is not mine, I have repeatedly stated a compromise that involved pre-invasion borders would be acceptable to me.
But blind idiots like Chicon sometimes find a nut.
Indeed I will oppose any plan that:
Rewards Putin with territory he conquered beyond the pre-invasion borders. There is no justification of why this should be acceptable to the US or the European community.
Fails to seek reparations from Russia for the damage to Ukraine’s cities and infrastructure and the tens of thousands of civilians killed.
Fails to hold accountable the Russian military that either engaged or were complicit in war crimes.
I would save Cruz for a SC pick. CAn you imagine the heads that would spin if he replaced Sotohatewhitey!! I would trade out Cruz for Alito if he chooses to retire. Cruz is definitely more of a strict constitutionalist than even Alito is, but I don’t expect him to be a Scalia. He would fit nicely on the Supreme Court to be honest.
I guess Mike Lee would be acceptable as AG and he’d get confirmed…plus one more quasi Paul associate out of the Senate and hopefully replaced with a traditional Conservative.
I am going to leave yall with the following as I drive 105 miles north to watch the younglest play on day 2 of his Cup tournament. Who the heck schedules U10 soccer Cup games Friday night NORTH of Austin at 6pm!!!!!! Left here at 2:45 pm and barely made kickoff!! It has turned into little Los Angeles, and any charm Austin used to have as quirky has given way to being a little Liberal Los Angeles, where Californians come in land rich, destroy old neighborhoods and build their CA style houses, with their CA style politics…then complain about Texans.
Therefore my posting will be sparse today, but, I want to leave with the following:
Pre-invasion borders as a baseline for settling the Ukraine/Russia war is delusional. Some say there could be a million deaths attributed to this war on both sides. But, because accurate statistics are not revealed, we will probably never know. However, with so much sacrificed, and with the smaller country on the ropes without Western or European aid, you’ve got someone jutting their chin out and belligerently demanding the impossible. Now, if Jason, like was asked of Liz Chaney, were to volunteer his services, and go over to fight on the front lines for Ukraine, I would at least respect his zeal as an active fighter rather than an armchair warrior type.
Mike Lee or Jeff Clark would be strong-minded AGs. Scott Bissent would be wonderful as Treasury Sec., and Kash Patel, although controversial, would kick butt as FBI director.
I can not believe we are still arguing, and insulting each other over the Ukraine situation. No one here has experience there, and no one here (very obviously) has any idea of what its was like, or what it is like in the Ukraine, or Ukrainian politics. There is such a thing as nuance, and believe it or not, this how international politics/relations really works. You never get all of what you want…which is the definition of compromise, neither sides is satisfied. Yes, I said all this, and know I will be derided for it, but so be it.
There was no pre-war deal offered to Zelensky and the Ukraine that would have stopped the war. Russia knew it, the UK knew it, the US knew it. I don’t care what anonymous sources or Gateway Pundit told anyone.
The Donbass was always going to be gone. It has always been pro-Russian, the people there called themselves Russian BEFORE the invasion, and Russia was going to expand there no matter what.
Stop with the grift crap. There has always been historical corruption in Ukraine, and there will be long after this is over, but nowhere on the scale people are claiming. There are no yachts, etc etc. The weapons et al brought in were all excess or old. Hell, you would be shocked to know how much ex-Russian and even Soviet arms were part of the deals for weapons put into the war for Ukraine.
Zelensky has done an admirable job stopping the Russian march. He has done what he has needed to do to protect his country.
NATO does matter. The reason for the capture of Donbass was not to repatriot ethnic Russians to Russia, it was to create a further buffer zone that Putin, in his insane dictatorial mind believes he needs to stop NATO from buffering up against their borders. The guys is a megalomaniacal pig, whose probably going senile, and truly believes this. I do not believe that NATO membership will be on the table, too many members will oppose it.
The peace deal will involved Donbass remaining as part of Russia, just like Crimea under Obama. Returning to pre-war borders will not happen, no matter how much money we throw at it. What I hope that Trump can extract is payment for war crimes, and some retribution for war crimes committed, in addition to ending the war.
Ukraine will be subject to the biggest rebuilding project of our times. You thought billions would be poured into fighting the war, that number will pale in comparison to the amount of money that is going to be spent on the rebuild, led by UK, USA and some European firms. That will be the next HHR fight…is there grift in the rebuild…
Can we please stop arguing about this and insulting each other. Jesus. I get having differences of opinions, but calling each other stupid, moron, etc when we have known each other for 20+ years is sad.
In the midst of all his gratuitous attacks on me Walt did pose a legitimate question.
A. shows Trump is Trump and digs in his heals, forces the Senate to deny recess appointments, Gaetz does NOT get confirmed and then Trump goes to war with all the Republicans in the Senate and splits Republicans nationwide and creates a bad situation and mayhem thus poisoning the well–even before he is sworn in as president and at the same time gives the left and MSM huge ammo to begin beating him over the head with for the next 4 years.
B. pulls the nomination and nominates someone with more competence and less baggage.
Jan, to your comment, “Jason, like was asked of Liz Chaney, were to volunteer his services, and go over to fight on the front lines for Ukraine.”
THAT IS OUT OF LINE!! Jason bore the uniform of this country and stood up saying, I will go where you send me. To question whether he would serve in Ukraine if it were his time and he was sent is WAY OVER THE LINE
Please don’t ever criticize someone who served his country knowing they could be sent into harm’s way. Jason, did volunteer his services, and would have served on the front lines if called.
Low blow, and I call you out for it. He;s no Liz Cheney
Zelensky has done an admirable job stopping the Russian march. He has done what he has needed to do to protect his country.”
THAT is why the Putinistas hate him.
The “grift” and “concern over aid” etc. is just any excuse for the real reason they hate Zelensky, the fact he is a true patriot and his leadership has saved Ukraine from annexation.
Vic, I don’t know Jason’s background, only his mouthy insults. He also knows little about my background, but continues to rake me over the coals with Putin garbage. So, if you want to call out “lines that have been crossed,” it has gone both ways.
“ “Yesterday, the Kyiv authorities, for the first time in all of the previous years, declared their readiness to reach agreements with Russia. They gave us the written principles of a possible future agreement,” Medinsky said.
CHAKRABARTI: He went on to say the principles include Ukraine’s willingness not to join NATO, a renunciation of nuclear weapons, as well as possessing, acquiring, and developing of other weapons of mass destruction.
A commitment to hold military drills with foreign military participation only upon agreement with guarantor states among which would be the Russian Federation. Of course, that was what Medinsky said the Ukrainians were willing to do. The same day, the top negotiator for the Ukrainian side. David Arakhamia told reporters that a final agreement could be near.”
Vic, I have refrained from calling people names like moron etc. except when the incoming has become ridiculously intense. Jason, however, likes to agitate people, and boosts about chasing them away. You, Vic, like to calm the site down, for which I give you deserved credit.
Jan. Ive been here for 20+ years, so I know how it is. I just made this point because he is a veteran, and did volunteer to put his life on the line. A comparison to Liz fake conservative Cheney is unfair. As a vet I know what its like, and as someone who has put his money where his mouth is in Ukraine, I thought the clarification needed to be made.
I value your, Tina’s and EVERYONES contribution to this page. I have no desire to look into a mirror. I welcome everyone’s views.
But
Never would I put a Paul in any cabinet or position of power.
While so many are voicing concerns over the Gaetz AG nomination there are those who are rejoicing. Below is a Breitbart editorial reprinted in Dr Robert Malone’s substack:
In my opinion, Gaetz is exactly what the DoJ needs to clean up the rot that has stunk up the halls of the DoJ long enough! He is smart and a bulldog with an investigatory ability to follow a stink to its rotting core.
I can’t wait to see who he prosecutes regarding the persecution of the 467J-6ers, who have or are serving prison sentences. Some of the protestors, like my friend John Strand, ended up in prison for years – in his case, he committed no crime. In many cases, the individuals imprisoned did nothing more than protest.
The raid at Mar-A-Lago was a stain on the United States of America. A full investigation of that event needs to happen immediately.
Gaetz won’t back down from a fight, and I look forward to what he accomplishes in his new role!”
Vic, I have many times raised the issue of the constant misrepresentation of the position of others.
The proprietor of the place says HHR is not for everyone and there’s no free lunch. The conclusion is that he and his fellow A-hole desire this place to be exactly the way it is.
It is his place and his rules, so it seems appropriate to join in. I’m not a fan of unilateral disarmament, so the beatings will continue.
I don’t believe the tenor of my discussions with anyone else (now that Wes is dead and Robbie is gone) are disrespectful.

West Virginia, oh, my home
West Virginia’s where I belong
In the dead of the night in the still and the quiet
I slip away like a bird in flight
Back to those hills – the place that I call home
It’s been years now since I left there
And this city life’s about got the best of me
I can’t remember why I left so free
What I wanted to do – what I wanted to see
But I can sure remember where I come from
West Virginia, oh, my home
West Virginia’s where I belong
In the dead of the night in the still and the quiet
I slip away like a bird in flight
Back to those hills – the place that I call home
Well I’ve paid the price for the leavin’
This city life’s not the one I thought I’d find
Well let me live, love – let me cry
When I go just let me die
Among the friends who’ll remember when I’m gone
West Virginia, oh, my home
West Virginia’s where I belong
In the dead of the night in the still and the quiet
I slip away like a bird in flight
Back to those hills – the place that I call home
Home, home, home!
Oh I can see it so clear in my mind
Home, home, home!
I can almost smell the honeysuckle vine
In the dead of the night in the still and the quiet
I slip away like a bird in flight
Back to those hills, the place that I call home, home

That is because they built their careers on the huge lie that they were “moderates”. Tester and Casey haven’t been moderates for decades. They voted for every left wing proposal. They voted for eliminating the filibuster. They voted for doing away with any checks on election integrity. They supported statehood for DC. We were saved from all that by Manchin and Sinema, not Tester and Schumer.
