Last night, NYC made a case against Big Pharma. You and Jason disagreed. All fine, and enjoyable.

As part of the disagreement it was said that NYC – who, along with his family, owns a business – doesn’t like profits. This is an obvious lie, yet you and Jason pull the same crap constantly. It has been pointed out many times, and you don’t give a crap.

NYC believes that the profit motive has resulted in Big Pharma colluding with the government to the detriment of the customer. Disagree all you’d like, but quit effing lying about the position of the other side.

No, it isn’t an obvious lie, it makes NYC look like an EVEN BIGGER HYPOCRITE.

The fact he owns a business does not exempt him from his anti-profit statement, quite to the contrary. It actually means he should know better.

Later he tried to weasel out of it and lie about what he said, that he was talking about “liability”.

The criticism of his position on profits is entirely valid, and no putting lipstick on the pig is going to change that.

Former President Donald Trump pushed back on a questioner’s skepticism about the effectiveness and safety of the Covid-19 vaccine in a new interview, saying that the “vaccine works” and “people aren’t dying when they take the vaccine.”

“Look, the results of the vaccine are very good, and if you do get (Covid), it’s a very minor form. People aren’t dying when they take the vaccine,” he said in an interview with The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens that was released Tuesday.

When Owens began raising doubt about the vaccine efficacy, Trump interjected, saying, “Well, no, the vaccine works.”

“The ones that get very sick and go to the hospital are the ones that don’t take their vaccine. But it’s still their choice, and if you take the vaccine, you are protected,” he said.

Fact ——> over 70% of the country felt we were going in the wrong direction before the election. Inflationary effects, immigration, the economy, crime, Ukraine were issues people stressed needing to be addressed. Trump, having a surprising win, with many describing it as a “mandate”, is filling his administration with people assigned to deal with these issues, and much more.

Last night Milei, Argentina’s president, met with and applauded the team who hopefully will have as much success as he’s had to remedy an ailing economy. Another strong president to have had there is Salvadoran Bukele, who tackled the crime in his country in a no-nonsense fashion. The key to accomplish such ambitious goals is to have the right men in place who are not afraid or can’t be intimidated to go against consensus thinking. Gabbard, Hegseth, Bobby, Gaetz are just a few of Trump’s more unconventional choices, who could ultimately be ones critically needed to reform our weakening state of affairs associated with the Intel community, defense, medical honesty, and unbiased justice.

    *****************************

There are different views of why people elected Trump. How many people here–and how many Americans–fall into each category below as to why they voted for Trump?

    What as the MAIN reason?

Or at the very LEAST, what is YOUR % of each the following is why people voted to elect Trump.

{MY % of voters that I think voted for Trump is in ( ) to the left.

(5%A. VALIDATION OF TRUMP, support of Trump as a person; repudiating of the political motivated lawfare tactics used to try to take down Trump; validates that the 2020 election WAS stolen from Trump (TRUMP’S VIEW)

(30%) B. REPUDIATION OF DEMOCRATS failed policies, actions, agenda and performance of last 4 years–both domestic and foreign,. Not a big fan of erratic, foul mouthed, bad behaving Trump, but the other side is crazy–and at least Trump supports more sensible policies than Kamala does.

(30%) C. BAD ECONOMY. Voters chose Trump primarily because of the bad economy and people were worse off after 4 years of Biden and the Ds (jobs, inflation, emotion of savings due to inflation, energy prices, taxes, etc.)

(30%) D. ILLEGAL ALIENS/OPEN BORDERS. and all that ushered in–ignoring constitution and laws, crime, failure of illegals to assimilate into American culture, lots of fed, states and local $$$ being spent to house, feed, transport, clothe, provide healthcare, education etc. for the 9 to 11 million illegals at the expense of providing what was needed to real Americans and creating BIG problems in providing health care, education, and negative impact on U.S. communities

(5%) E. TRUMP WAS THE LESSER OF TWO BAD CANDIDATES and the voters were personally turned off by both candidates. But at least Trump did have a good deal of success in his term as president–until CROVID hit.

(0)% F. THEY VOTED TRUMP BECAUSE MOST VOTERS ARE RACIST MISOGYNISTS WHO WANT TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT, SEIZE POWER, CANCEL ALL FUTURE ELECTIONS, PUT POLITICAL OPPONENTS IN JAIL OR REEDUCATION CAMPS

“F” is the view of “THE VIEW” and LOTS of the far left–and THEY think that Trump’s felony convictions should have DQ-ed him sd a choice for any thoughtful voter.)

And the Dems do NOT think the economy is bad, there are NO problems caused by illegal immigrants, and there is NO such thing as bad Dem policies, and Biden has no congestive issues.

But there were some weird vote patterns in that election, Ford won Washtenaw county, for example, the only one to switch from McGovern to Ford, while Carter won a fair number of rural counties throughout CA.

    Scooter,

YOu got Trump to go ride in a garbage truck, so I guess you have a somde pull. Can you PLEASE tell Trump to STOP picking sitting congressmen and senators to serve in his cabinet.

Walt, I am not supposed to let this be known, but do to my garbage truck suggestion (that won Trump the election), I am currently under consideration by the Trump Administration to head up a new Government Agency ,”DODGE”. So I don’t really want to push the envelope at the moment.

  105. Remember that Justice was first elected as a DEMOCRAT.

He operated like a Dem., and in his first year proposed a $465 MIllion dollar tax INCREASE that the R majority in the State legislature immediately shot DOWN. Then Justice made war on the legislature, and LOST.

THEN, he switched from D to R and won reelection.

He violated State code and REFUSED to actually move from Greenbrier county to Charleston and live at the governor’s mansion there. But the WV Sup. CT. said that was ok.

DESPITE being a billionaire and owning the Greenbrier Resort, coal mines and about 100 other businesses, he has HUGE problems with NOT paying contractors who do work for him. (remember, he WAS a Dem for most of his life).

He has not paid the state sales taxes he collected at the Greenbrier Resort, and has not paid the workers comp he collected from his employees to the State. He has outstanding tax liabilities he owed in VA and by court order has now paid those.

He is in poor health. Has a hard time walking. He is a huge guy–about 6’4″ and about 360 pounds and brings a big wooden stool to sit on when he goes and speaks anywhere. I hear he has kidney issues and does dialysis.

But he connects with the little people, speaks in a folksy, “well, deed and double, I rekon that I …” way,…has lots of heartwarming stories of how he has personally helped little people he has come across, etc.BEfore he was governor, he did a lot to help flood victims and help lead the flood recovery efforts in Greenbrier county after a big flood there. He was a LONG time coach of both the boys and girls basketball high school teams at Greenbrier High School despite not being a teacher or school employee. He has been governor during the legislature driven cultural and economic turnaround and has taken credit for all that.

I do not think he is the hardest knife in the drawer.

  110. ”Jan – You said you are a nurse. Do you want an environmental lawyer dictating the care your patients receive?”

There is nothing in RFK Jr’s rhetoric, writings or legal challenges that indicate he will “dictate” policy. His stances on vaccines are that they follow ALL safety precautions set forth, and do not exercise short cuts because of hiding behind an emergency authorization. He also has made it clear vaccines, like the experimental gene therapy COVID one, should be voluntarily taken, not mandated. The repurposed drugs (ivermectin, HCQ) suggested by many physicians and well known epidemiologists were banned by the medical hierarchy, despite the encouraging results from those who used them. He has been involved in the harmful effects of pesticides, as well as the pressure by big agriculture to eliminate small organic farming. Finally he wants to revisit all the toxic, often carcinogenic chemicals, used in preserving or making our food more appealing but unhealthy, that are banned in other countries. I’ve always been one of those RNs who is open to better ways of obtaining health, whether it’s thru strictly western means, or by natural, Eastern and holistic health means.

–get the Justice Dept and FBI to be TRULY NON-political agencies that uphold the law and do not “tilt” the law and Justice one way or the other. (It will be a BIG mistake if Trump’s goal is to turn the LEFT tilt of those agencies to be a RIGHT tilt and use the agencies to legally go after TRump’s opponents)

–reduce the number of federal employees, and reduce the huge number of buildings the fed govt. occupies.

–eradicate the D.E.I. foolishness that has permeated all federal government agencies and get rid of all the D.E.I employees

–wind down the Dept of Energy

–wind down the Dept. of Education. Reevaluate federal finances going to colleges and universities…

–try to tackle the “rule by agency rules developed by the agencies” rather than by the intent of laws passed by congress

–FIRST, find and deport all illegal aliens who with criminal histories (other than the criminal act of crossing the border illegally), gang members, etc. Then start phase 2 or roundup and deportation of illegals. Tell them to get in line behind others who are following the legal process to enter the U.S. after proper vetting.

–finish building the wall on southern border and beef up security there.

Odd that the Dem party is the party who demanded everyone get vaccinated with the CROWVID shots of be fired from their jobs (even if the refusal is for religious grounds), and yet the same Dems are always yell, “My body, my choice”.

Odd that the Dems are the party that is pro-LBGTQ and pro Trans and AT THE SAME TIME support countries and peoples in the Middle East whose policies OUTLAW gays and put LBGTQs to death.

Odd that in CA, the Dems are the part pushing for lower housing costs and lower rent, when THEY and THEIR policies have been the major CAUSE of high housing and rent costs in CA.

Odd that the Dem party is fine with taking guns away from law abiding citizens, defund the police, defined ICE, support sanctuary cities, support policies and “justice reform” that lead to higher crime and then the Dems say they are going to help reduce the crime rate. (In Washington D,.C. it is AGAINST THE LAW for police officers to question juveniles who are suspected of committing murder, armed carjackings and other crimes without the CONSENT of their parent.)

Odd that the Dem party want to make every vote count–even if the vote is cast by someone who in not eligible to vote.

Odd that the Dem party supports peaceful transition of power, but looks the other way when violence breaks out from THEIR side when Trump was inaugurated in 2016 and lots of destruction in D.C.

Odd that there Dem party is opposed to prejudicial actions and speech, yet they are quick to say that all the Trump voters are racists and misogynists.

Odd that the Dem party favors freedom of speech, etc., yet are the first to knock someone’s red MAGA hat off their head, tear down a political yard sign, harass diners in restaurants who are (or have beliefs) different from them, etc.
