My wife and I just voted in Durham, NC. I was surprised that we walked right in with no line. I heard there were big crowds lining up to vote in other parts of the city, but it was sparse at our closest EV site.

Any recommend brand of hearing aids, scooter? I lost some hearing and it’s time.

Tina, I’ve had quite a few different brands over the years. The last pair I had were Siemens, and I was pretty happy with those. When I was younger I had the smaller in the ear hearing aids, but as my hearing progressively worsened, I had to go to the more powerful over the ear. Now, of course, I have cochlear implants. My suggestion is to find you a good Audiologist that you trust, and let he/she do a comprehensive hearing exam so they can meet your particular needs. Don’t fall for some of these cheap ones you see advertised on tv.

David Plouffe, a key strategist for Harris, confessed that the lead reported by the media was, in his own words, “fake.”
Speaking on the “Pod Save America” podcast over the weekend, Plouffe revealed what many already suspected: Harris’ supposed lead was nothing more than a mirage.
“This is the race we have; it’s the race we expected,” Plouffe admitted. “I don’t think it’s going to open up for either candidate. I think it’s going to be close all the way in.” Not exactly the confident words of a campaign on the rise.
Plouffe went on to explain that the lead Harris once enjoyed in the polls had “melted away” because it was never real to begin with. “It’s not what we were seeing,” he added, confirming what anyone paying attention could already see.
Polls Were Never Real
Plouffe didn’t stop there. He explained how the media’s polls gave Harris supporters a false sense of security. “There were a bunch of polls… that showed a lead for Kamala Harris that was not real,” he said, echoing the growing sentiment that the media had been playing fast and loose with the facts.
“We’ve seen this thing basically be tied since mid-September,” he admitted. So much for the media’s glowing reports of Harris dominating the race.
Plouffe also pointed out that, despite Harris’ supposed “higher ceiling,” Trump is stronger now than he was in 2020. In other words, Harris is facing a more formidable opponent than the media would like to admit.
The polls that once showed Trump and Harris trading narrow leads are now revealing the truth: this is anyone’s race, and Harris is not the shoo-in the media pretended she was.
Harris’ Campaign on Thin Ice
With Plouffe’s revelations, the narrative that Harris was comfortably ahead has crumbled. The race is tight, and Harris’ chances are far from certain. As the campaign grinds toward the finish line, Harris faces mounting pressure to deliver – and so far, she’s struggling to rise to the occasion.
While the media continues to cheerlead for Harris, voters are beginning to tune out. Her inability to connect with everyday Americans, coupled with her lack of real primary support, has made her a weak candidate in the eyes of many.
Plouffe’s final comment on the matter was almost laughable in its defeatism: “This thing’s going to be decided on the margins in these few number of states.” Translation? Don’t expect any big victories from Kamala Harris. Her campaign is barely holding on, and with Trump gaining momentum, things aren’t looking good for Team Harris.

Had a family of illegals come into my office yesterday morning wondering if they had the right office. This my third encounter with illegals in less than a year. Reminds of my days living in So Cal. In the Midwest suburbs … this is insanity.
Trump was hilarious last night at Al Smith. However Watching Trump yuk it up with Woke Commie Dem Chuckie and telling Hochel he will give NY Federal if money last night speaks volumes to his true self.

I watched Trump’s speech at the Al Smith dinner. It was funny but a little slow and rambling at the end. That’s his style. A-
I watched Harris’ video. She managed to make a 4 1/2 minute video seem like an hour. That SNL character was not funny when she was on decades ago. F

Trump’s speech last night was easily the best speech he has given since 2015. He was himself but not angry at all. He had those lib Catholics eating it up. He was the pre-campaign Trump that America loved for decades. So glad I dont have TDS where I feel like IHAVE to find something negative to say, even when it is just a side note to a somewhat tepidly complimentary post that some have posted.
It really was a treat!
