“Michigan Court of Claims judge ruled Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s guidance on absentee ballot signature verification violated the state’s constitution and ordered it removed in a final order signed on Tuesday.”
Shapiro deemed it was discriminatory and anti-semitic to single out Israel for a different policy they had for other countries. In the end, there was a settlement.
“The boycott, which sparked discussion across the Jewish world, is not in force: In December 2022, following a separate, lengthy legal battle, Ben & Jerry’s independent board reached a settlement with Unilever that ensured the ice cream would continue to be sold across Israel and the West Bank.”
Conceptually I agree with Bitter. Ben & Jerry should be free to sell where they want. However, if they joined an organized boycott based on a discriminatory practice that is different than merely deciding they don’t want to be in the Israeli market.
Sen. Mark Kelly’s (D., Ariz.) messy divorce—including a restraining order filed against him by his ex-wife and his own request to have her put behind bars—is likely to come back to haunt him as Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris eyes him as a potential running mate.

I have been looking at the American political scene from afar.
It looks just as goofy from this perspective as it does when I am home.
I have done some thinking, and I now theorize that the Vikings went out to maraud, burn and loot because they were looking for sugar. And maybe some pretzels, Chicken in the Biscuit crackers, peanut butter, candy bars and other junk food.
While I agree with Jason agreeing with me, I don’t know that Shapiro would have standing as PA’s AG or as a shareholder to file a lawsuit. However, there was a settlement so there must have been a theory behind it.

While admirable, I am not sure of the legal basis to sue a company based on its sales strategy in another country. Maybe he was a shareholder.
