In PA, Sen. Casey is running 2 ads several times per hour on abortion (a non-issue according to HHR) and border security (seriously). Casey claims that he supported Biden’s awesome border security bill.
Left over topic from last thread that needs to be “fixed”……
”A CBS News/YouGov survey released Sunday found that 61% of Republicans say the US should not send more weapons and other military assistance to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for his nation’s war against Russia.
That holds true even when pollsters differentiate between self-identified “MAGA” Republicans and those who do not associate with the direction in which Trump, 77, has dragged the party”
The House is planning on passing a bill requiring citizen ID to vote, in attempts to deter the massive number of illegals from voting in the upcoming election. Dems are whipping their own to vote down this bill. Elon Musk has stepped in calling those voting down the bill “traitors.”
Something I was unaware of was the passage of the Digital Serves Act (DSA), enacted in 2024, giving governments in the EU the ability to moderate (censure) content, like we’ve experienced here in the U.S.
Jan, the number of Americans will continue to dwindle over time if (note to the Ostriches, I said if) a long-term stalemate occurs. Big Z needs some good news on progress soon.
Also, if abortion won’t be an important issue in PA, why are most of Casey’s ads focused on it? He pretty much has dropped his corporate greed causes inflation ads.
bitter. I’ve tried to post polls, but it appears that no one can see them
lol. “His war against Russia”! Facts are a funny thing. RUSSIA INVADED UKRAINE!! There is no Zelenskyy war against Russia, there is a Russian invasion of a sovereign country that would end if they pulled out.
The White House released a statement issued by Jill Biden that she “just wanted to assure everyone that despite his death, Joe is not dropping out of the race for president.”
Vic & Bitter, you seem to care little about what the majority of your own party feel about the Ukraine/Russian war. That’s certainly your opinion. But, others have a right to disagree based on what is “factually” going on with that war – internal strife in their military, more infrastructure demolition of Ukraine, few recruits left to conscript, continued suffering from this ongoing war to civilians. In the meantime the US is being dragged more and more into the mire of another’s war, with our own debt piling up because of it, talks about drafting our own people, innuendos about Ukraine joining NATO which would force us into something bigger than just playing a proxy war with Russia. These concerns, though, seem meaningless to you, which may indicate some very narrowed thinking on your part.
Jan – I don’t care if everybody but me in the Republican Party opposed more military aid to Ukraine. It troubles me that so many are willing to bow to a KGB thug.
How did Russia’s brutal and illegal invasion of Ukraine become the Ukraine/Russia war? The only party responsible for Ukrainian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure is Putin.
so Jan, who I imagine has never been to Ukraine, and I imagine does not have direct contact with anyone on the ground in Ukraine, is making claims about what Ukrainians are doing and thinking based on a NY Post article that quotes the jackass moron idiot Marjorie green Taylor as the source for information and voice for the Republican Party.
Jan, you also quoted a three month old, single poll of adults by yougov, that oversamples MaGA as your source that Republicans don’t want to aid the Ukrainian defense against the Russian invasion.
all credibility was lost with the Idiot MGT quote that said and I paraphrase, “we could take the $60b and spend it on the border”
not ONE SINGLE DOLLAR not spent helping to defend a free nation will go to the border. Period. And again, that $60b in military aid means AMERICAN JOBS.
Jan, we will have to agree to disagree. I think your international relationship view is myopic and ground in the Ron Paul isolationist wing. You believe ours is wrong.
as you said yesterday, I suspect we agree on 85% or more of things and there is room for both of us in the Republican Party.
Vic, most people in this country haven’t been to Ukraine, many not even knowing, prewar, geographically where it was located. However, all people here are sending their tax dollars to defend this country’s border – well known for its corrupt and interchangeable governments – while an invasion is occurring on our own borders. Although, little can be done to secure our borders, because of the political party in power, it still grates on people we are expanding our debt, and interest payments on that debt, to literally finance another’s pensions, salaries, lifestyle(?), weaponry etc…..indefinitely. To continue with the ultimatum, “we’re only done when Putin surrenders and leaves,” when he is currently winning and incrementally taking more territory, is magical thinking – IOW, how Dems rationalize their moves, which is why the majority of conservatives are against elongating the war further.
a majority of conservatives are not against supporting a country fighting to defend its freedom, a majority of Ron Paul followers and many MAGA are because they somehow conflate not sending military aid to Ukraine to border security. They are independent of each other, completely.
the truth is that America sends foreign aid, military advisors, equipment et Al to many parts of the world because it is in the country’s best interest. Having a myopic, isolationist view of foreign policy is typically a Dem trait. Republicans/Conservatives understand the importance of foreign relations as it related to domestic policy and the best interests of the USA
Bitter – no kidding. As dumb and ignorant as AOC is (and she may be the dullest person to ever hold office), MTG is just as cringe worthy (to borrow a phrase from the boys). I would be happy to be rid of her for another Republican.

Facts are a funny component of truth.

Another misrepresentation. Polling, not HHR, has abortion as less important than in previous cycles. Why do you continually do this?
