Prediction for the November election:
Harris/Whitmer
Trump/Haley or Stefanik
Harris will be the nominee as it keeps the Biden warchest, avoids the interparty split, Michele doesnt want it, and with Gretchen it amplifies the abortion issue and helps hold onto Michigan.
Trump will jjettison his plan to nominate Vance, Burgaw or Carson and pick a woman to blunt the expected impact of a unified, non-Biden ticket. He is a pragmatist and will pick Haley if he can stomach it or Stefanik if he cant. Either brings party unity. He wont know who Harris will pick, but he has good instincts and his MAGA base isnt going anywhere.
Not sure who wins….depends on if they are able to expose Harris’ record and get it off the racial/gender topic and what happens with the Trump sentencing in September.
Think it will come down to Pennsylvania, since I think Whitmer saves Michigan and helps in Wisconsin and not anywhere else.

Given the surge for Trump and slippage of Biden in the national polling, as well as the most recent numbers for Trump in GA and AZ, I have decided to remove these two states from the Battleground States grid. The average in GA is +7.7 for Trump and +7.3 in Arizona. If things change, they will be put back into the grid.
Trump has led all 34 polls in GA, going back to October 2023, and 39 out of 40 polls of AZ going back to last year. And its now after this record and these current averages that Biden imploded at the debate, leaving no real means, at least in the short term, for these states to be competitive in any meaningful way.
So right now the true battlegrounds are:
NV, PA, MI, WI, NE2, ME, MN, NH, NM, VA, NJ, and CO.

ironically, if France had had the first past the post elections the right leaning party would have swept to power. But they do a second round and a lot of candidates who would finish third are bowing out so the right doesn’t win, which may allow the far left socialist/communist block to be the biggest

UK results are in and sadly, the leftist Labour Party has won, though as usual, by a bit less than polls suggested
Labour was projected to win 431 seats in polls, but won 410 after voting…still enough for a massive majority.
the rest: 131 for the Conservatives, 61 for the Liberal Democrats, 13 for Reform U.K., 10 for the Scottish National Party and 2 for the Green Party
this means for the next half decade or so the UK will ruled by the far left…(far far left in American terms). Which means more unfettered immigration (how do you think they won), more money thrown at socialized medicine, bigger givt programs
