Some thoughts….
1. When Biden was elected, I said he would at some point be replaced in his first term for or not run for reelection for “health reasons.” At that point, I thought the health reasons would be a made up excuse. Now, the real decline is obvious.
2. The conspiracy theories that Biden would be propped up by drugs, he would have the questions beforehand, and only be given easy questions were nonsense. I thought the moderators did a good job. There were times they even cut Biden off and he looked stunned.
3. The predictions that the MSM would declare Biden the winner no matter what also failed. The CNN poll had Trump the winner by 67-33. Even MSNBC was stunned for the first hour until they resorted to Biden sucked but at least he is not a convicted felon.

Wrong, obviously.
Biden was propped up by drugs and he definitely had the questions beforehand and the questions were OBVIOUSLY selected to provide Biden with softballs and to hit Trump on what many think are Trump’s weaker points (abortion, Jan 6., democracy, etc.).
Biden is just far gone, he blew it in spite of every advantage. Trump didnt win a debate with Biden. He won the debate with the walking dead.

4. Jill Biden knows her husband is not up to the job but she likes the perks of being First Lady and is not going to let him be pushed out without a fight.

Did you watch the debate or are you on Biden’s drugs?
Trump repeatedly made the point that abortion is now a state issue. Brought up Reagan, the push for decades to overturn Roe vs. Wade so it would be returned to the states. You simply misstated what Trump said on this or you fell asleep.
He made the point the at violent protesters were different from the nonviolent Jan 6. protesters. He brought out Pelosi and the D.C. mayor’s refusal of help that day. Are you so tied to your own pre-conceived notions about Jan 6. or simply trying to gin up posts from Jan?
Trump definitely talked about the injustice of the trials, convictions and how they are going to appeal.
I guess your pre-debate admonition that if someone didnt watch the debate, then their opinions dont matter doesnt apply to those of you who had the tv on during the debate but chose the argue with family, read a book, or just stare at the screen with the cognitive focus that Biden exhibited last night.

My criticisms of Trump are different from Bitter’s.
I didn’t watch the debate but I have watched “highlights”.
Trump’s stupid isolationism came through with his asinine “WWIII” comments.
Biden was absolutely right when he said the risk of WWIII is much greater if you let the Russians win in Ukraine than if you stop them now.

Betting markets firming up for Biden staying in as I expect. After toying with under 50% Biden is up to 63% this morning and Newsome is tanking.
The Dems have no plan B and they know it.
Kamala is up to 15% because people know she is not going to bow out for Newsome or anyone else.

I already talked to a Biden supporter this morning, someone I work with. She was “disappointed” in Biden but he had a cold so that explains why he did not do well. She is still voting for him because Trump “lied in the debate”. I asked her for alternatives, she said she likes Bernie but they “would not let him” be the nominee. She thinks Newsome is “slimy”. She doesn’t think Kamala can beat Trump.

Apparently social media is ablaze with talk of Biden being forced out for a replacement.
Democrats are hoist on their own petard of DEI. They would have to go with Kamala or risk backlash from the far left. Even so, Kamala might not lose as badly as Biden. But right now, Dems are in one of the Donner Party wagons. Can’t make it alive to California (Biden), but cannot turn back to rejoin the wagons headed for Oregon (Kamala).
But in the end, they would have to run that risk of getting rid of Kamala, and go with one of their empty suit senators, and hope they can convince enough voters that its better than Trump.
But its also possible that Jill Biden will refuse to release Joe’s delegates. But can the delegates themselves defect?

Biden is not being replaced unless he dies or has a serious medical event.
You read it first here. As I have said since this speculation began a year ago, the reason is the Dems don’t have an alternative. It is Biden or bust. There is no “empty suit” senator once you give the “empty suit” a name.
The betting markets are realizing that and Biden is back as a strong favorite for the nomination, the Newsome boomlet tanked since last night (went from 30% to 18%, still too high in my view).
Biden just stopped at a Waffle House and said he did very well at the debate. He is not stepping down.

What would be best for the COUNTRY is if Trump and the Dem power brokers get together and strike a deal.
A. The Dems remove Biden as 2024 candidate.
B. Trump agrees to withdraw from the 2024 race for POTUS. To get him to agree to this, the Dems agree to cancel all the lawfare court cases against Trump, overturn his bogus convictions
C. the Dems and Repubs then each choose a new candidate to run for POTUS in 2024.
BUT THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN.

In fact some of today’s rulings are very positive for righting the misinterpretation of a statute wrongly jailing people (Fisher), and reducing the powers of unelected bureaucrats (Chevon) – brought about by the justices Trump installed during his first term.
