Seeing a lot of Biden ads on the cable channels I watch, mostly reality TV.
But they are basically themed on how great Biden’s agenda is, which is contrary to what most people experience. It says created jobs, invested in infrastructure, working for America blah, blah, blah. But it rings hollow as people see how expensive food is, rents are, mortgages are. How chaotic the borders are. How unsafe their communities are.
Maybe I am just conditioned to dislike the ads, but I really don’t see them resonating.
I would say Biden is winning the ad volume war 2-1 while Casey and McCormick are about even.

I can’t believe CNN will actually air the debate at the same time as the Uruguay vs. Bolivia game for the Copa America.
They will lose millions of viewers of people who would love to watch the debate if not otherwise engaged in this important game.
I hope the US Soccer Federation sues to block this debate for conflicting with the Copa America schedule.

Jason – outside chance the boys and I go to the Argentia quarterfinal game in houston next week. we were supposed to go to Brazil Colombia in SF…but not sure yet if we will stay in TX and go to games in Austin and houston instead
BTW Holland can thank Georgia for beating Portugal, and Turkey getting the late goal against Czechia…allowed them to play Romania instead of England or Spain…though the way England is playing, maybe they are the lucky ones.

100 Years ago athletes from around the world were descending on Paris for the 1924 Olympic games. Included were the British runners Harold Abrahams and Eric Liddel, whose victories at the games were immortalized in the 1981 film Chariots of Fire.
That film is so old now that both of the actors for these two are now dead.
Eric Liddel, the “Flying Scot” died at the end of WWII in a Japanese prison camp. He had a chance to get out once, but gave it up so a pregnant woman could have his place.

That was back when men were MEN. Eric Liddel giving up his chance for freedom so a pregnant woman could have hers. In modern times, in that situation, the pregnant woman would be persuaded to have an abortion to reduce her hardship, and the man would have taken the chance to get out. And if there were objections, that the seat should go to a woman, then he would just identify as a trans-woman and take the seat on the plane to get out of the prison camp.
