I am trying to pinpoint when Democrats stopped just being wrong and became evil enemies. Maybe the 2000 election started the current death match. Or maybe it goes back to the nomination of Robert Bork to SCOTUS.

I think dems have had the lead on unfair tactics for a long time. Bork, Clarence Thomas hearings exemplified such tendencies. However, it was when Obama became president that they ramped up more of “I can crush you but you better not do the same to me” attitude that has only worsened during the era of Trump.

That settles it. The hack judge will NOT sentence Trump to jail on July 11th. Oh, how he wanted to. Boy, did he want to. This poll makes it clear it would backfire big time. These were not the numbers Democrats were hoping for — Phil

Actually the fact 40% of Americans think Trump deserves jail for the kangaroo trial and verdict is pretty scary.
It shows how polarized the country is.

Nate Silverhack responds to liberals attacking him for saying Trump is a 2-1 favorite to win.
“I began making election forecasts in 2008, and in literally every presidential year since then, I haven’t really had to deal with a conflict between what I personally wanted to see happen and what my forecast said. This year, I do have that conflict. The candidate who I honest-to-God think has a better chance (Trump) isn’t the candidate I’d rather have win (Biden).”

AOC posted a “tribute” to Jamaal Bowman
@JamaalBowman
. Son of a single mother. Grew up in public housing. Dedicated his life to teaching. Became a school principal. Founded a prized school to serve Bronx youth. Elected as the 1st Black Congressman for NY16. Never took a dime in corporate money. A true public servant”
There were only 2 problems.
That “Jamaal Bowman” is a woman in Germany.
And there were 2 prior black congressmen from that district, well known, Adam Clayton Powell and Charles Rangel.

lisab was ok. I normally would not have much tolerance for a “utopian socialist” but she “evolved” over the years, and in the end was quite critical of the teacher’s unions and woke education. You could have a conversation with her, she wasn’t into talking points.
I don’t know why Bitter didn’t like her. She was responsible for one of the great moments of HHR history. It was due to her goading him into attending the school board meeting that we got to see the combative anti-woke Bitter that we all love but see so little of.

lisab was a fraud. She was a union leader. She was a hard leftist who wanted to drag successful schools down rather than help students in failing schools with reforms like vouchers and school choice. She played most at HHR for fools. She came to hate me and I loved it. F her.

Damm….. I should retire. I am prescient in addition to being a genius. This is EXACTLY what I said Trump’s “miracle plan” was.
“The United States could threaten to halt weapons deliveries to Ukraine if it refuses peace talks, under a plan presented to Donald Trump by two of his former Pentagon advisers.
Russia would separately be warned that any refusal to enter negotiations would result in increased military support for Kyiv.
A ceasefire would be arranged on the basis of the front lines as they are when talks begin.
The plan was drawn up by retired Lt Gen Keith Kellogg and Fred Fleitz, who both served as chiefs of staff on the former president’s national security council.
“We tell the Ukrainians: ‘You’ve got to come to the table, and if you don’t come to the table, support from the United States will dry up,’” Lt Gen Kellogg said.
“And you tell Putin: ‘He’s got to come to the table and if you don’t come to the table, then we’ll give Ukrainians everything they need to kill you in the field.’”

I won’t support this plan because it rewards Putin for the invasion and I don’t see anything about reparations or war crime charges.
But it does support my contention that Trump has zero interest in having Putin annex Ukraine uinder his watch.

Also, Janzam and the rest of the Putin toadies will hate to heart this, but AFTER the ceasefire we will have to arm Ukraine to the teeth or the Russians will just invade again.

She became a stalker who had to be critical of schools in my town. She tried to make it a negative that the high school had an orchestra and listed the date and time of the concert. Most high schools around here do. They also have bands and choirs.
I once praised her for working with abused students but realized she was not committed to it as she wandered from job to job. Most teachers I know find where they want to teach and stay for decades.

We don’t know who will win in November.
But there is a key difference between 2024 and 2020, which is that Trump is ahead instead of behind at this point.
In my view, it is easier in politics to stay ahead than come from behind. These polls showing Trump ahead cement the view that he can win, and as we know, the candidate that the public thinks will win usually does win. Yes, that didn’t happen in 2016 but it did in 2020 and many elections prior.
Nate Silverhack’s opinion is important because he wouldn’t be sticking his neck out unless he was pretty convinced he was right. Yes, he would stick his neck out to predict the Dem would win because if he was wrong there is no issue, nobody would blame him. But predict Trump will win and he doesn’t, Silverhack would have a tough time coming back from that.
