She won’t be able to give RINO in Chief Trump or War Criminal in Chief Putin a free pass?
Oh, well, maybe she can find another conservative Republican to put on her RINO list.
Of course, if Tina wanted to save herself some work, she could just state which conservative Republicans are NOT RINOS, it would be so much shorter and easier to manage.
no option to reuse the old code. It was designed with Maryland in mind anyway, and the new page has a more national flavor. I have more improvements planned, but need to learn more
“Today, due to expected high seas, the temporary pier will be removed from its anchored position in Gaza and towed back to Ashdod, Israel. The safety of our service members is a top priority and temporarily relocating the pier will prevent structural damage caused by the heightened sea state. The decision to temporarily relocate the pier is not made lightly but is necessary to ensure the temporary pier can continue to deliver aid in the future.”
If the “seas were expected” today, why weren’t they expected when they designed the pier?
“If the “seas were expected” today, why weren’t they expected when they designed the pier?”
Because DEI requires that you get the most incompetent people to ensure diversity, rather than the most skilled people regardless what they look like or where they came from.
I wanted to provide my own comment in response to the dialogue here by some of the former posters who showed up in the last few days, discussing the nature of this forum and the general nature of the conversations here.
If you wish this site to be more about polling, analysis of political events and their potential effect on the electorate, Biden’s failures, the biased media, and these sorts of topics, then I invite you wholeheartedly to participate and steer the blog in that direction. I would happily engage in such discussion.
If there are arguments or debates posted here that you find distasteful, then simply ignore them, and participate in the way you wish. There is no rule that you have to read every comment from every poster and reply.
This is and always has been a relatively open forum. Dave Wissing on the old site welcomed political discussion, but also left it open for people to discuss sports, archeology, astronomy, origins, religion, and a host of other things that people found interesting. There is a very real sense that anything to do with science or the humanities all intersect with politics at some level.
And so everyone is invited to participate. Don’t stay away because you personally are repelled by one topic or one poster.
What I would never want to become is another version of RRH Elections, where all the topics are tightly controlled, and if you post something lengthy and informative but used too strong an adjective, the moderator deletes your comment.
Bitter, if you were responding to me, then yes, I don’t assume that everyone comes here for an honest discussion. Some try to stir trouble, and others try to spread lies and propaganda.
I agree with DW, and view his post as words to the wise.
But some folks come here for no other reason than to argue and attack, many folks of every political view and stripe view such nonsense as simply ridiculous and childish.
And, as DW advises, most simply ignore those trolls and bullies, take the good and ignore the idiots.
Bitter, I was thinking that your reply “Why do you assume… not worth it.” was referring to my lengthy post right above it. My mistake if that wasn’t the case.
I agree wholeheartedly with what you just posted. Any user is free to post whatever they want that isn’t openly antisemitic, or vulgar. But once someone posts something freely, others are equally free to push back.
So it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that if someone says “Ukraine is at fault for Russia’s invasion,” there will be pushback. The back and forth has always been a part of HHR.
I never say how HHR sucks. I am surprised at the good work and what you have accomplished. I didnt expect it to be here, but am very supportive of what you are trying to do and have done.
The question posted earlier this week wasnt about whether HHR is good or bad, it is definitely a good job done, but rather why more dont come here and post, especially those who used to post at HHR.
That is a different question and I think I answered it honestly. I just think that it is unnecessary for some to ALWAYS be on the attack on the same couple of issues, even before anyone posts anything about them.
From my perspective, NONE of you could possibly support the state of Israel more than I do. I think HAMAS and their GAZAN supporters and their protesting supporters here in the US are engaging in great evil and Israel should stop at nothing to route them out in Gaza.
I also strongly support the best President of my lifetime, Donald Trump.
I am sure that having posted that bait, the attacks will come, especially from your resident bullying child. Who cares? He is simply a miserable human being, and people like that build nothing, accomplish nothing worthwhile or are anything beyond a distracting a-hole.
DW – My post in its entirety would have said “Why do you assume that the people who designed the floating pier were DEI hires? I have no idea who the engineers and architects were and neither do you. Most engineering disasters in the Western world were projects designed by white men – not because they were inferior but just because they were the ones hired. If the best person for a job is white, hire them. If the best person is a black lesbian Muslim in a wheel hair them. DEI is inherently insulting to those it claims to protect.
Bitter, I wholeheartedly agree with your statement on DEI. Our nation was a better place when the approach was: Hire the best quality people, and I don’t care what they look like, where they came from, their background, race, religion, etc., but get the best you can so the product will be the best.
The left has replaced this with, get the most diverse group of people you can, regardless of qualifications, and with no concern for the final product.
But you are right, I truly don’t know if the people who built the pier were DEI hires or not. Its just that I have seen so many examples of this recently. I know someone who works in aerospace who will NOT fly in certain aircraft, knowing what DEI has done to quality control. Just as an example.
DW – The problem is that we don’t know if the people hired in the past were the best rather than just the best white males.
The series on National Geographic channel is worth watching to learn more about soldiers in the Allied military in WW2. An officer from India fought at Dunkirk to help the white soldiers escape because he was ordered to do so. He was captured and spent several years as a POW until he escaped in 1943. The Tuskegee Airmen and a black tank unit were true heroes forgotten for too long.
“The Tuskegee Airmen and a black tank unit were true heroes forgotten for too long” Absolutely, as were the black soldiers fighting for the union army, as depicted in the movie Glory.
My point is that the best policy when hiring is to have a blindfold on regarding race, gender, ethnicity, religion, background, etc., with the aim of getting the best qualified hires. This, rather than DEI that says, take the blindfold off, and hire an equal number of people from all these checkboxes of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc., without any regard for whether or not the applicants are the best qualified to do the work.
Albertus Minimus Moron was always an irrelevant drive by turd, but who wrote a lot of posts at the end of HHR guaranteeing that there would never be a lifeboat, that Bitter would never start a new site, and that if he did start a new site he would give it up almost instantly.
Now that he was proven completely wrong and exposed for being a total idiot he comes here with a few more drive bys to tell us what kind of site he wants this to be.
I give his posts the “Incredible Chutzpah Award” before telling him to GFH.
Jason. Did you watch any of the open today. Bryson is a beast. Stupid wedge into 16 cost him have a five shot lead and he blew two short putts. Will be interesting when Rory is in his group to see if it bother him. Or bothers Rory to have the crown on Bryson side
going to be a great finish
who would have thought someone like Bryson could win two us opens. Watch out at the British. With all his YouTube golf stuff (which I highly recommend watching) he may do well there as the greens are slower than normal and all his stuff there is fine on slower greens
As of right now, West is NOT on the ballot in MI or PA, although PA is an automatic write-in state, but obviously its far better to have the name actually on the ballot.
