My uncle went ashore on June 7, 1944. Many years ago, I asked him if he felt envious of the attention received by those who stormed the beach on June 6th. He said the Germans did not stop shooting at him until the war ended.

First. Hard to believe its been 80 years.
Emerson out with new national poll. I will show the change from their pre-sham verdict poll:
Trump 46
Biden 45 (+1)
Five candidates:
Trump 44
Biden 38 (-1)
Kennedy 6
Stein 1
West 1
No statistical change here.

Trump won PA CD10 by about 51-47 in 2020, but it was slightly redrawn for 2022. It still includes a large swath of Dauphin County, which Biden won 53-45 in 2020, but it also includes parts of counties to the southwest of Harrisburg that Trump won significantly in 2020.

I will not denigrate those who serve today. They don’t elect their commanding officers other than President. I have no doubt that if called upon, those serving today will fight.

Perry is my rep. I know him and have talked to him several times.
Actually it includes a lot of rural areas of Cumberland, Perry and York counties also, which is why Perry held on in 2020 and 2022. In 2020 the Dems threw a heavyweight against him, Eugene DePasquale, former PA Auditor, a proven vote getter in statewide elections. He got within 7 points of Perry, as did a lesser known Dem in 2022.
He is more conservative than the district, and he will trail Trump. He insists that he shouldn’t compromise on any issue he believes in, he wants to be an “authentic” conservative. I am actually considering not voting for him due to his position on Ukraine, I will think hard about it since Rs need this seat.
I do tend to think his lead is more than 1%.

Nope, Vance is a bridge too far for me. His isolationist policies would place the US in great danger.
I will be happy to vote for a ticket with Scott, Rubio, Burgum…
Vance, Vivek and Haley won’t get my vote.

No doubt Democrats are continuing to poll on the question of whether Trump should go to jail during the remainder of the campaign. The corrupt hack judge awaits his instructions from the Biden campaign on what sentence to hand down. No doubt he would dearly love to send Trump to Rykers for the remainder of the campaign….if and only if polls show the electorate will tolerate it. You know they’d love to put him behind bars for the duration of the campaign. If polling shows it will backfire then the judge will suddenly show a sudden burst of “mercy” toward the defendant. It all depends on the polling. Perhaps he will split the difference and order home confinement – which would also serve their purpose of taking Trump off the campaign trail. Sentencing is conveniently set for four days before the Republican convention. I can only imagine the amount of money that would flow toward the Trump campaign if the judge throws Trump in jail. It would even dwarf the amount collected when the guilty verdict was announced. I’ll send a couple of hundred and I’m one who vowed I’d never contribute to a political campaign ever again. I damn sure would if a political opponent is thrown in jail.

Anonymous, if the judge ruled jail time, it almost certainly would involve a certain number of days to appear, during which Trump could go back to Florida, and then for DeSantis to announce that Florida does not recognize the kangaroo NY court, and so FL will refuse to extradite. And if NY wants him, they can come to the FL border, but they will be met with resistance.

In Texas, the Constitution Party candidate did not make the cut, and neither did West, or the communist party candidate. So its going to be Trump, Biden, Kennedy (I), Stein (G) and Oliver (L). Given the fact that Oliver is a hard leftist, and Stein can grab the loons, Trump and Cruz will be quite safe.

And in NY State, its going to be Trump, Biden, and Kennedy, with Stein in a legal dispute still trying to get on the ballot. Oliver (L) and West (I) didn’t make the cut.
If Stein gets on the NY ballot, that could help siphon off some loons, helping Trump’s long shot chances there.

Biden responds: We cannot afford to have the bird flu spread among the cattle population in the United States. To prevent the spread of the disease, I am ordering today the slaughter of the entire cattle population in the country. The meat from all our cattle must be burned and destroyed, not sent to market. For businesses that depend on the sale of meat, the federal government will be dispensing fake meat created in the Chinese Wuhan laboratory.

Haley…I don’t like that she caves so fast in order to be popular. She governed as a conservative, and if she had to take over for President, she would do well..,sadly though, I think she would morph into Bush I who was barely better than a Dem, and was what, 50/50 on his SC picks…

When I was a Republican, I felt a duty to vote for the party candidate. I voted for many people I had profound differences with on that basis.
As an independent, I no longer have that burden. If the R party wants my vote, they can put up candidates that are qualified for the job.
Life is full of hard choices. But not voting for a terminal panderer like Nikki Haley is not one of them.

You should have “gotten it” in 2016, when the “hey but the other candidate is unqualified too” was just as unpersuasive as it is now.

I don’t really have any problem with her stated positions, I actually think that on foreign policy she is the best of the bunch, including Trump. My problem is I think she would sell out ANY position at the drop of a hat, and could never be trusted on any issue
Sometimes politicians define themselves with one act or one event or one speech. With Rand Paul, his statement that “a nuclear Iran is not a threat” forever marked him as unqualified for any public office.
With Haley, her pro-BLM “share my pain” tweet defined her permanently in my view.
Sue me.

For 3 out of 3 elections Bitter states that he has no qualms about voting for unqualified candidates for President as long as they have an R after their name.
.333% average would be understandable, nobody is perfect, but 1000% is really awful.

BTW, I was in Radnor yesterday. Nice place.
I drove about 5 miles on King of Prussia Road after my meeting.
There was not one American flag, one outhouse, or one deplorable the whole way.
Not one Biden sign or Trump (probably banned by local ordinance) sign.
I was going to drop in on Bitter but I figured he was at work.

You are more likely to see signs for local races than Federal here. 4 houses on my block display American signs. Not sure why Jason would take King of Prussia Road. If he was at Radnor Corporate Center he would just get on Lancaster Avenue/Route 30 for 1/4 mile and get on 476 North to the PA Turnpike. Or he could just stay on Route 30 to York for the scenic local route.
