Interesting note – Tug McGraw was famous for Ya Gotta Believe with the Mets. He won the World Series in 1969 with the Mets and 1980 with the Phillies.
One of my most hated Mets was Dykstra. He was also one of my favorite Phillies.

One of my most hated players does not make anybody else’s list. Mark Lemke of the 1990s Braves. He looked like an evil Leprechaun. I hated his socks pulled up to his knees. I hated that even if he struck out 50 times in a row the weeks before playing the Phillies, he seemed to bat .800 against them.

I still, to this day, don’t know why the nets didn’t resign him. To be fair his career wirh the Mets was slightly above mediocre, and he walked a ton of batters. I didn’t think he’d last in the bandbox that is your stadium but he truly developed. Imagine a healthy deGrom and wheeler anchoring the rotation

It really is a sign of the times in how close these polls are when they shouldn’t be. Not sure how much rigging is going on but Trump can’t pull away even this early in the cycle against the dementia patient running the country into the ground. This election shouldn’t even be close. RFK Jr. might just give Trump the help he needs to get 270.
I am pleasantly surprised that the lawfare against Trump is blowing up in their faces. Actually shocked. Maybe all is not lost in the justice system yet. But I think all the noise has an impact on low information voters.

I think Bryan York mentioned that they will try to allow for the jury instuctions to hav them “pick the related charge that accompanies the biz record charge.” For example, tax fraud and election charges. However, to date, fat albert has not brought forth any such evidence. If it’s a federal election charge, fat Albert has no such standing to bring such charge.
The mysterious other charge is needed to elevate to elevate biz record hoax to a felony.
The commie judge (rooted on by the free passers) is completely in the tank for fat Albert. I still cannot follow what has transpired for weeks.

I read on RRH someone who described in detail the path that would be needed for either Rubio or DeSantis to be the running mate of Trump. It didn’t sound that complicated to make it happen. Even for DeSantis, the sitting governor.

Yes, Haley is actually a Republican AND a conservative, and has been one her entire life. And she has the record to prove it.
She is much more conservative than Trump, who was a liberal Dem most of life and funded Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid for decades. Trump has no conservative principles, he will only act as a conservative for political purposes, not because he believes in it.
Unfortunately, Haley is a pandering wonder and as such can never be trusted to do the right thing, her instincts are pander first, principles second.
If Trump picks her, I would regard it as a smart political move for him, but a horrible choice for the country.

we all (except for Corey and some degree Bitter) have the same concerns about Haley BUT, she is the only candidate for VP that gives Trump a bump with those who won’t Vote for him as of today. He is not a dumb man and looks at the 20+% she’s still going and realizes that she could be the element that gets him elected.
I think she’s the best choice.

My second pick at this point is Rubio.
Third is Kim Reynolds.

I think Scott would be a great VP pick as well, I fell asleep on that one when I was writing above. It just might sway a few AA voters in needed states, and he’s a solid conservatice.
Rubio might help in Az and NV, though remember Cuban Americans and Mexican Americans generally don’t see eye to eye. And there is the FL thing. He’s have to give up his senate seat.
Reynolds’s would also be a good choice, though won’t bring the voters Haley does, but also doesn’t bring the pandering.
