Not only is Boden proposing 45% on realized capital gains, but he also wants a 25% on unrealized capital gains.
This means that if your million dollar house goes up 50% in value according to whoever is assessing it, then at the end of the fiscal year, you would have to sell the house to get the money ($250,000 is 25%) so that you would have the money to pay the IRS at the end of the year.
Same with stocks, gold, crypto, etc.
Boden also admitted that he is using AI to illegally seize American’s bank account data so he can see if they have bought any crypto or gold or anything that is “off the grid” so he can steal their stuff.

It is official. The HHR Clown title is now an open competition between Jan and Tina. Any polls on that race, DW?

Jan 26%
Tina 21%
Write in: Bunu 49%
Its really hard for Jan and Tina to compete with the likes of Bunu, even when he is left off the polling question sample ballot, the write-ins still were enough.

There is a British firm out there called Stack Data Strategy, and they are claiming to have polls of all fifty states–at least they call them “polls,” but when you read the write up, they say, “This post summarises the results of Stack’s latest MRP (Multilevel Regression and Poststratification) modelling for the 2024 US Presidential election.”
In other words, they are just making up numbers. And when you look at their numbers, its essentially the 2020 results with a few minor tweaks. But they don’t see any movement in Florida for instance, even though all polling shows a substantial shift.
Their numbers are as though Biden doesn’t have any record, and its basically April, 2020.

I guess the tenets of this blog are to conform with the handful of regular hhrphoenix posters’ positions, or else be subject to DW’s “unbiased” polling. It’s interesting the only 2 females posting here, both long time HHR members, get slammed for critical thinking that strays off the reservation of the herd mindset here.

Jan, the poll showing you and Tina getting beaten out by Bunu was a joke.

I think you’re off base Jan. I think everyone here has been criticized for differing views and have had their orthodoxy challenged.
Jason isn’t afraid to go after anyone here, Bitter, Chicon, DW, etc and vice versa. In fact, over 20 years here I’ve seen legendary battles, and been involved in them.
Robbie. Chekote, Aaron in Texas, Polaris (who I personally enjoyed his views despite being wrong), Wes fought with everyone.
I personally don’t mind when my views are challenged, it helps me to evaluate my core beliefs and if I’ve taken the correct view.
your views, especially on our national security and commitment to our Allies is not one that has been traditionally Republican/Conservative. You are entitled to that opinion, and I value your contribution here. It does not mean I agree, but I value you and all posters here.

Save the victim act. You and Tina are the most pro-Putin posters here. Tina accuses everybody of giving free passes to Biden when nobody here does. That is clownish regardless of DNA. Everybody gets criticized here.
It is no different than 24 years ago when I started at HHR. Perhaps you have forgotten some of the vicious personal attacks of the past.

It is Chuckfuck and the dc court of commies that erred stating outright that a president has no (none/nada) immunity.

The idea that any President has absolute immunity for ANY action is absurd and dangerous. There should be broad immunity. HHR would howl if a Democrat President claimed absolute immunity.

I’ve lost track of these show trials, and which relate to personal conduct, and which to (alleged) professional conduct. NY is currently about the hush money (personal, though with a tangent to campaign finance?), GA is over the election kerfuffle (professional), FL is over the documents (professional), and…what else am I missing? I thought there were 4 trials, unless the E. Jean Carroll thing made it four.
So, is SCOTUS saying that the GA and FL trials are bogus? What’s the impact?

”your views, especially on our national security and commitment to our Allies is not one that has been traditionally Republican/Conservative.”
Vic, I like debate because it’s a healthy oftentimes informative way to discuss opposing viewpoints. Nonetheless, I see the guidelines and temperaments changing when it comes to classifying what is and what is not a traditional Republican/Conservative position.
The Ukrainian issue perfectly exemplifies differing stances taken by those self-identified as traditional Conservative. There are you guys who stand by Ukraine, despite reports of ongoing corruption -Secretary Burns even has had to warn Zelenskyy about this – battle fatigue, big gaps on accurate news reporting, Ukrainian men fleeing conscription, and no real evidence of Putin’s intentions to invade other countries, only NATO innuendos and insinuations of such. Then you have those Conservatives who look at our own border vulnerabilities as being a higher more localized national security problem, requiring a robust advocacy by our R House to negotiate a package that will secure our border first before sending more funding abroad. However, calling the former “Conservatives” and the latter “pro-Putin,” bullies honest commentary, is divisive and does nothing to encourage a blog’s cohesiveness.
Below is an example of a prudent “conservative” argument reasoning why the $95 billion was shortsighted:

The Sc hearing on presidential immunity (joke 6 case) was today.
I just cannot belejve that Chuckfuck and the Dc Court of commies stated no presidential immunity period for official acts.
The sc could punt and tell her to hold an evidentiary hearing. If trump, loses the heading, it gets appealed up the food chain again.
Remember, the SC is only deciding whether a president has immunity for official acts.

Guess who said this about Bill Clinton……no cheating.
The American people are fully capable — without our guidance or advice — to determine what standards they want our President to meet… Spare me from those who would tell the American people what standard they must apply when voting for President.” He also concluded that a President is unique and the head of a political party, who should not be removed, and if so, it “should not result from the judgment of a single prosecutor — whether it be the Attorney General or special counsel — and a single jury. Prosecution or non-prosecution of a President is, in short, inevitably and unavoidably a political act.”
