I guess the Incas deserved to lose. They had an army of 80,000 men and Pizarro had 200 men and 27 horses. Atahualpa should have just sent a couple thousand men down the mountain to wipe out the Spaniards but instead he chose to lead a procession of dancers and servants to meet the Spaniards. The procession was annihilated, Atahualpa was captured and executed and the rest is history.
Because of his mistake instead of leading a life of luxury surrounded by gold and maidens and thousands of llamas on the Altiplano I have been banished to Bittersville PA with only 2 llamas.

The aid package to be shortly passed will give Ukraine life beyond the elections. Not having the blemish of defeat on Biden’s record is very important for the dems during this election cycle. Part of that package will also pay for Ukrainian official’s salaries and pensions.

We drove up to northern CA last week experiencing astronomical fuel prices on the way – Central Valley premium gas was $6.40, Petaluma $6.25: and along the rural coast all grades were in the $6 dollar range. The local medical facility, art center, one theatre are all begging for money. The community Ctr. was burned down last year by a homeless man, and the locals are struggling to raise funds to rebuild it. Hard times are apparent everywhere you go. I was thinking today how a couple million dollars (out of that $60+ billion) would go a long way around here towards helping this community survive during these tough times.

Biden could have done a lot more to help UKR is he had overriden Milley and insisted that all of our equipment in Afghanistan be pulled out and sent to bases outside the US for interim storage. Putin invaded only a few months later, and that hardware would have done much more to help repel the invasion than the $ we are sending now.
It would also have kept that metriel out of the hands of the Taliban and whomever in the Muzzie world they choose to donate it to.

And now Trump is openly calling for *more* funding to Ukraine on Truth Social—he called on Europeans to match the amount we’re giving instead of calling for an end to it period.

He’s personally facilitating the largest-ever disbursement of funds to Ukraine, underwriting this grotesque war for at least another 1-2 years, along with requiring Biden to transfer escalatory weapons systems like long-range ATACMS. Try to find a right-wing “influencer” — media figure, operative, or politician — discussing any of this honestly today. They’re all pretending it’s not happening and/or lying to their audiences in one of the most egregious political hoaxes I have genuinely ever seen.
