If that is “blood money” so is all the Saudi investments in the US and all the US investments in Saudi Arabia, hundred of billions.

I grew up in North Jersey. I never knew a Mets fan there until 1986. Then the front running vermin fans came out.
I grew up as a Yankees fan. I switched to the Phillies. Certainly not because of winning. They were terrible. My favorite Philadelphia team in all sports was the 1993 Phillies. Damn you, Joe Carter!

Trump will be in court, starting Monday the 15th, for 6-8 weeks during a trial most legal scholars call a sham. Prosecutors are solely using this legal affront to smear his character, traipsing thru women he allegedly had affairs with years ago. What if they had done this to JFK? Since he will have to be present during these elongated proceedings it will take him away from campaigning, which is exactly what the Dems and Biden want . Mike Davis this morning compared what is happening to him as what would occur in either a banana republic or North Korea. No matter what one thinks of Trump his trials are demonstrating how left our justice system has drifted.

It seems like there is. You see it in the other questions like, “regardless who you are for, who do you expect to win the election?” Or “who are your neighbors voting for?”
And these questions that reveal the economy is hugely the number one issue, and that Trump would be far more effective on the economy.
But I totally get that a user holding a google phone or using google email and taking an online survey would be scared to click the option for Trump, knowing that data was collected about them.

Vic – it’s the NY Alvin Bragg trial. The one where he supposedly paid “hush money” to a woman who now says her affair was with his slimy lawyer and not Trump. Trump has also said he knew nothing about the money, as it was handled by his attorney. The judge overseeing the trial is a big dem contributor whose activist daughter is making millions off of the fact her dad is presiding over the trial.. Trump has been ordered to attend it on a daily basis along with a gag order covering a wide array of issues. There is no good ending in sight for a fair outcome, IMO.

JeffP, I was for DeSantis and wholeheartedly so. I have said this over and over. But I am also honoring the wishes of DeSantis, who has endorsed Trump and will do what he can to help Trump win. So I will do what I can to help Trump win. The alternative is unthinkable. I am not sure our country will survive to January 2025. If Biden wins re-election, I am certain we will not survive until January 2029.

And I have said repeatedly that DeSantis would have made this election easy. But I do believe you underestimate Trump’s potential in several of those states. Biden’s war on gas powered cars has to help Trump in Michigan, and that has more staying power than the fickle Muslims who will come around and vote for Biden anyway, once their blackmailing him now is over.
PA is clearly the state with the most erratic polling that has been all over the place. But to say Trump is simply a nope there is way too pessimistic.
Even some of the Dems at RRH have admitted that its currently advantage Trump, though they hope Biden will come back and win.
Much has yet to play out, including Trump’s veep pick.

Bitter, I did mean ‘our fathers’ as in the generation before us, rather than our ‘founding fathers’ but even so, the problems in 1789, great as they were, were solvable problems–they had a free society where problems could be solved. And they did solve great problems, including slavery.
There is no way to solve the problem when the USA becomes the USSA, the United Soviet States of America. One-party rule, sham ‘elections,’ lawfare galore, prison for all voices of opposition, weaponized medicine, poverty for all the masses, no middle class, the sort of paradise that Jan seems to long for with Putin.

Solvable problems in 1789? Slavery was only solved by a Civil War. Women couldn’t vote. Catholic Churches we’re burned for decades more. After a few years during Reconstruction, Blacks didn’t vote in the entire US for another century. Again, I know things are bleak right now but as an Irish Catholic, I would rather live now than then.

But the nomination fight is over.

Get Trump elected, THEN attack his policies if you see fit.
Whining about his (sensible) positions on abortion and FISA, both which I happen to agree with, is self defeating.

So it appears that our major news outlets are all saying that Israel deserved to be attacked this way, claiming that this is a retaliatory strike from Iran…but you read the fine print, and its because some attack in Syria for which Israel did not claim responsibility claimed the lives of a couple of Iranians.
Okay, by that standard, we had an illegal from Mexico that murdered that college student, so its an appropriate retaliatory strike for us to send 200 drones and missiles against Mexico City.

Wind was howling at nearly 30 mph today.
But I have done 120 feet of fence and another 90 feet of doing the top section and top 2X4 rail. So I can blitz those with the electric paint sprayer….some day.
But I don’t work on Sunday. Tuesday and Wed. we are off to NC for a funeral…

Biden was the big winner of the WY caucus. I had some of my Bogo Pogo friends over to watch the results come in. It was pretty exciting, Biden got 396 votes and beat “uncommitted” (probably MAGA types) 96% to 3.2%.
Unfortunately the big night of WY election returns was pre-empted by the Iran strike on Israel so the political impact of such a sweeping victory was muted.
