Cruz’s opponent: You Bet I’m Proud to Get Endorsed By Soros’ Defund-Police Activists!”

Rep. Colin Allred touted his endorsement from Reproductive Freedom for All, a Soros-funded nonprofit organization. In a statement released last Wednesday, Allred said he was “proud to earn the endorsement” and that he looks forward to working alongside the group….

The organization has long embraced the movement to defund police and repeatedly called for dismantling the “systems of oppression that are still so entrenched in society.” The group has also stressed the need to “divest from law enforcement in Black and brown communities.”

It’s not going to be close.

FISA is an important tool for the war on terror. And not all terrorists are foreign, there is nothing wrong in targeting radicalized Americans. People were shouting death to America in Michigan.

Of course it was politicized and used for the wrong purposes, but you don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater. You need to ensure it is used as intended. FISA has to be better regulated, not eliminated.

I guess Russia should surrender too.

“MOSCOW, March 31 (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree setting out the routine spring conscription campaign, calling up 150,000 citizens for statutory military service, a document posted on the Kremlin’s website showed on Sunday.

All men in Russia are required to do a year-long military service, or equivalent training during higher education, from the age of 18.

In July Russia’s lower house of parliament voted to raise the maximum age at which men can be conscripted to 30 from 27. The new legislation came into effect on Jan. 1, 2024.’

Ukrainians are willing to fight and die for their country.

Seems like many Russians are not that crazy to die for Putin.

“An upper estimate is for 700,000 Russians to have fled conscription since it was announced. Many went to Kazakhstan, Serbia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Georgia, and Finland.

Putin signed a decree introducing prison terms of up to 15 years for wartime acts, including voluntary surrender and desertion during mobilization or war.”:

  16. The ONLY reason that Ukraine needs to draft men into service is that Putin ordered a brutal invasion. Jan left that detail out.

  17. Since Jan wants to dictate the terms of Ukraine’s surrender, she should tell us those terms. No dodging or dancing.

Here is my proposal. All Russian troops go back to pre-invasion borders. Ukraine is admitted to NATO. Putin can remain in power to imprison and kill his own people.

  18. Bitter, I’m happy to see you taking a stance that is less than morally just (which would include Putin out of power and facing war crime charges).

If Zelinsky’s goal is a quick end to the war, your proposal is a starting point for negotiations, but won’t accomplish that goal.

If his goal is to end up at your proposal, much military work remains. It is the decision of Ukraine to pick a path.

If they choose the latter and it goes for years without appearing to advance, the US and the world have the right to cease assistance. I don’t think the US should do so now, but Big Z needs to realize that day will come. Sue me, or call me a Putin toady, but that’s how the world works.

Zzzzzzz…. what a load of crap.

“The world and the US” have always “had the right” to provide assistance or not, that is a straw argument.

The question is it in the US and “the world’s” interest to allow Putin to annex Ukraine as part of his stated ambition to recreate a greater Russia or another USSR. If it is not, then we should provide aid as long as it takes to counter that Russian agenda.

Chicon makes the same mistake at Janzam in that somehow this war is Zelensky’s to control. It is not. There are hundreds of thousands of invading Russian troops in Ukraine. Zelensky’s “goal” should not be a “quick end to the war”, it should be to repel the invaders. And that is what the US should be supporting.

The only guy that can bring “a quick end to the war” is Putin by ending his illegal occupation of the sovereign country of Ukraine.

However, I would agree to a cease fire where the Russians return to the pre-invasion borders. This still means Russia is in control of Crimea and parts of Easter Ukraine it is legally not entitled to, and Ukraine should not recognize these borders, but it would return the situation to where it was pre-invasion.

From Daniel Horowitz…”So after having Johnson’s back selling us out on the budget, Trump gave Johnson cover to sell out on FISA simply by making it 2 years rather than 5 years, and in exchange they will hold a standalone vote on non citizens voting, which is already illegal. Again, trade leverage on “must pass” bills in exchange for random standalone votes.

Oh, and next on the docket is Ukraine lend-lease with Trump’s support. FISA and Ukraine were core issues Trump was good on for a while.

My punchline is that unless those close to him apply pressure, there is zero backstop at this point for him to move left on every single issue, and we are seeing this occur at breathtaking speed. It doesnt have to be this way, but unless the supposed MAGA guardians get in his ear with equal and opposing force to counter the Johnsons of the world, inertia is in one direction.”

Trumps moving left on every issue will lower enthusiasm with the base and will not make any impact on suburban Moms.

I completely disagree. There is no way the GOP base will have anything but maximum enthusiasm when we have a dementia patient in the white house who is destroying our country right before our eyes.

Biden is letting violent criminals walk right in so they can rape, murder, and distribute drugs.

Biden is a disaster on foreign policy, and might well get us into WWIII.

Biden is on track with his plan to ban gasoline powered cars.

Biden’s inflation is breaking the back of the middle class and destroying the ability for many to lay aside any retirement savings.

Biden favors the empowerment of surgeons to lop off the genitals of children who were tricked by the trans agenda, permanently sterilizing them and putting them on a path toward suicide.

Biden as put on full display his banana republic use of lawfare to destroy political enemies.

Biden wants to continue to grab guns.

Biden is still trying to force YOU to pay for other people’s loan debt, in defiance to the SCOTUS decision.

Biden wants anarchy, he is pro-crime, and he is anti-police.

Biden wants to spend your money to provide free ‘cunity’ college for all.

The list could go on and on…

But “ENTHUSIASM” won’t be a problem on our side. Maybe on the Dem side, but not the GOP.

  25. The U.S. House and Ukraine share similar circumstances. They have both Lost their leverage to ask for and get what they want.

The Republican House will have only a 1-vote margin to retain its majority status. If it loses one more member then that control goes over to the Dems. So, any votes or bills passed from here-on out will be moderated and relatively ineffective. We lost our edge and window when McCarthy was speaker and went along with miserable budget concessions.

Ukraine is losing the Human Resources needed to fight the war, whether or not it gets the pending aid package from the US. The new conscription age perimeters of 18-60 would be unfathomable in most countries. Being included in these drafting protocols are those who already have been wounded, including amputees. Fueled by constant saber-rattling by NATO and the Intel communities, that Russia will roll into other countries should it win in Ukraine, the Dems in particular are seeding fear to push more funding through Congress. Of course there has been little to no real evidence that these are Russia’s intention – to annex more countries by invading them. However, threats are potent enough to keep refreshing the war no matter how many Ukrainian men are lost. Also, fleeing Ukrainian soldiers are now showing up at our open border, in their attempts to escape being killed on the front lines of a desperate war. Had the peace agreement, being discussed at the very beginning materialized, Ukraine would have been in a much better negotiating position than now…just like our beleaguered House is now.

  26. From the very beginning of the 2024 campaign everyone’s goal here was to “win.” Now that the Republican nominee is presumed to be Trump, those who dislike him want him to take divisive stances (like on absolute abortion), or weigh in on decisions that could tip the House to the Dems. There is such a fine line to walk during the lead-up months to November, however people like Jeff continue to excoriate him for not doing the “right thing,” even though it would mean creating more obstacles to the goal of winning than there already are.

I am willing to bet if RDS were in the presumptive Republican nominee slot, he would also be approaching such “support” decisions cautiously and more moderately until he secured the presidency…..and Jeff would find no fault with him for doing so.

Well, the fact he has already invaded Ukraine and annexed Belarus for all intensive purposes as well as invaded other former soviet republics and STATED the demise of the Soviet Union was the greatest human tragedy AND he wants a Greater Russia as per Peter the Great there is little evidence.

  28. What other former Soviet republics has Russia invaded? You’re stating nothing more than opinion vs evidence that Russia is on a tear to roll over other countries. Better war analysts than you have observed how poorly Russia has done in quelling and conquering Ukraine, a substantially smaller country in size and resources. So why would it feel confident to go further, inviting even more push-back? All along the one red line of Russia has been Ukraine joining NATO. One wonders if this had been taken off the table, at the onset, if Russia would have withdrawn it’s troops and Ukraine’s human and infrastructure ruin would have been spared.
