Good news from the Black Sea. Ukraine has sunk two more Ropucha landing ships, which are important for Russia to sustain their troops in the Dumbass region. They began the war with 13, and are down to 3 operational vessels.

Susquehanna out with their new update outlier poll of PA, with Biden leading 50/45. The tell that they got the sample they were after is the fact that 42% (highest) said that public schools and education were among 3 most important issues.
The poll is a 2 point improvement for Trump compared to their last outlier.

Oh wow, the Susquehanna poll has Trump getting crushed in the northwest region of the state, much more than Pittsburgh area, and nearly as bad as Philly.

The most populous county in the northwest is Erie Co, Trump won it by 2000 votes in 2016 and lost it by 1500 votes in 2020.
Both results were a huge improvement for Rs since Obama won it by 25k in 2008 and 20k in 2008.
If that poll showed Trump “getting crushed” in the northwest it is indeed strange, because even Obama lost every county in the northwest outside of Erie Co.

i hate the DH. So many memories of great things that happened with pitchers at the plate. 1986 Game 7, the Mets closer Jesse Orasco at the plate in a very rare hitting opportunity. Everyone in the world was expecting a bunt to move the runners up, but with all the infielders moving on the pitch Orasco faked the bunt, pulled the bat back to a hitting position and hit a chopper to short and nobody was there because the shortstop was covering Third.

To be fair, pitchers are more specialized now. 5 innings is a quality start. Several pitchers to finish a game. The trade off is they have longer careers and better surgeons.
