It turns out, a lot of the Democratic voter registration advantage in North Carolina, was junk. Love to say I’m shocked, but I’m not. Overall trends in North Carolina reminding me a lot of Florida circa 2015-2016, particularly new movers.

Want to know how Dems feel…well, they are actually believing that not only in GA in the bag, but NC is also not just in play, but in the bag as well. If you read the comments you will see just what we are fighting against, and why this election is so important
https://politicalwire.com/2024/03/11/democrats-hopeful-in-north-carolina-but-nervous-in-georgia/
“Democrats are starting to dream that President Biden can wrench North Carolina away from Donald Trump in November,” the New York Times reports.
“They’re less confident that Mr. Biden can hold on to Georgia.”
“The two Southern battlegrounds are creating a tricky strategic calculus for Mr. Biden’s campaign as it grinds into higher gear and decides where to direct its money, advertising and foot soldiers on the political map. The subtle, early tension is leading to no small amount of jealousy among Democratic allies of Mr. Biden in each state as they jockey for cash and attention.”
Notice how the NY Times is leading the charge

Vic, and here was my reply from the old thread:
Here are the totals for how many polls there have been so far in each state, going back to the end of summer 2023, and how many Biden has won compared to trump:
IA: 9 (Trump 9, Biden 0)
OH: 9 (Trump 8, Biden 0)
FL: 8 (Trump 8, Biden 0)
TX: 9 (Trump 9, Biden 0)
NC: 19 (Trump 18, Biden 1)
NV: 14 (Trump 10, Biden 3)
AZ: 23 (Trump 21, Biden 0)
PA: 31 (Trump 19, Biden 11)
ME: 3 (Trump 1, Biden 2)
MI: 32 (Trump 17, Biden 10)
WI: 20 (Trump 12, Biden 6)
MN: 7 (Trump 1, Biden 6)
And these are ALL pollsters, including those who are desperately rooting for Biden to win.

Chicon, I think I’ll just address your post about how Bitter flails around in his claims against people. No one here has said all J6ers did nothing wrong. However, most of the “crimes” committed were misdemeanors. And, after 3 plus years, this episode should have been criminally resolved, with no one still awaiting trial, or being hunted down and terrorized by looming indictments after all this time. Everything being done now is fundamentally orchestrated to induce more fear of reprisals should anyone open their mouth and disagree with the transformational agenda of the left. Full stop!

Of course not. He is a NY crony capitalist who relied on the establishment his whole life, and the establishment was the liberal democrats he funded for decades.
He is a creature of the swamp, that is why the idea that he would have any interest in draining it is a fantasy only his most brainwashed supporters could believe. He did nothing to drain the swamp in his first term, far from it.

Basically it comes down to Meijers, Rogers or Amash. Three never Trumpers. I have concerns regarding all of them. Regardless Slotkin will be difficult to beat. Remember absentee voting laws have changed in Michigan in a significant way. The GOP is extremely weak, divided and in financial trouble. Basically a microcosm of the national party.

I have a math question.
Actually, it involves a wooden fence we have.
It has 47 8-foot sections (plus a single four-foot gate and a double 8-foot gates). It is constructed with vertical fence boards on both sides of the support framing and the exterior boards overlap the interior boards to create the look of a solid fence.
Mrs. Walt has decided the fence needs to be re-stained.
So, after a trip to get materials including a paint sprayer, I today began doing several preliminary steps, the first of which is to power wash the fence with power washer that I already have. After several hours, I have now done ONE SIDE of 13 of the 94 sections (interior and exterior sides total). After I–at some point in the future–finish power spraying all 94 sections (47 X 2 sides), THEN, I can begin to apply a wood cleaner to all 950 feet of fence using a handheld, pump-up, multipurpose sprayer (which I already own) to apply a coating of the cleaner. Then I have to wash off the cleaner. Then let the fence dry for a day. Then I can begin spray painting the 950 feet (give or take) of fence on both sides. Ald before the stin totally dries, I am supposed to also go over each board with a 4-inch paint brush to smooth it..
Can anyone estimate how long this is going to take me?
I am 76 years old now (birthday in September), and after taking off my back brace and taking a couple pain pills I have roughly calculated that I will be close to being 77 years old when I am finished. Is my rough math accurate?
Would i be better off if I just burned down the fence?
