If a state in the battleground grid moves to being out of play it will be moved to the Other States grid, and if a state in Other States becomes competitive it will move to the battleground states grid.

Today’s 9-0 Supreme Court decision reversing the Colorado Supreme Court was a major bodyblow to the Democrats’ lawfare and election interference against Trump. And it’s just starting. Remember, the Supreme Court will likely reverse the obstruction convictions of many January 6th defendants by the end of June. Because the Biden Justice Department intentionally misapplied and weaponized a post-Enron obstruction statute aimed at corporate fraud to destroy political enemies. That’s half of Jack Smith’s bogus January 6th case against Trump. And by the end of June, the Court will likely hold the President—any President—is immune from criminal prosecution for his official acts. Just like federal judges and Members of Congress. Then remand the case to DC Obama Judge Tanya Chutkan to hold an evidentiary hearing. She will likely have to determine what Jack Smith alleges Trump did in his official capacity (i.e., wanted to fire acting AG) verses in his personal capacity. That decision is subject to immediate appeal. There is very little chance DC Obama Judge Tanya Chutkan and Jack Smith can railroad Trump before a DC jury and convict him before November 5, 2024. And 80% of Jack Smith’s case will be gone before the trial even begins. And the other 20% will get reversed on appeal. Because it’s not a crime to object to a presidential election. It’s specifically allowed by the Electoral Count Act of 1887. And the First Amendment. That’s why Democrats—like Al Gore, John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton—aren’t in prison for objecting to Republican wins in 1968, 2000, 2004, and 2016. Jack Smith is used to getting reversed—unanimously—by the Supreme Court after he brings bogus political charges against likely Republican presidential contenders. Such as the Supreme Court’s unanimous 2016 reversal of Jack Smith’s bogus conviction of former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell. But it was too late: Jack Smith destroyed McDonnell political career and life. At

Earlier it was posted that some believe he is “immune from criminal prosecution for his official acts” … and this has merit I believe, but was Trump performing an “official act.” Hardly, so this is where it gets murky. Russia’s foreign policy is directly tied to discord, whether it be financial or political, at home. When times are bad in Russia, especially economically, Russian leadership (I don’t even want to write his name), will engage in foreign controversies, incursions, and in this case war, to divert the attention of a very nationalistic population away from the hardships they face.

I would venture to say $100 oil might/could cause the Ukraine to fade because there will be good economic conditions within the Russian populace/borders. Then he won’t have to gin up some scurrilous excuse for invading foreign countries.

“Missouri Gov. Mike Parsons has commuted the DUI sentence of former Kansas City Chiefs Assistant Coach Britt Reid.

Britt is the son of head coach Andy Reid. Britt plead guilty to driving while intoxicated in a 2021 crash that severely injured a five-year-old, CNN previously reported. He was sentenced to three years in prison.

In a statement, Parsons’ office said, “Mr. Reid has completed his alcohol abuse treatment program and has served more prison time than most individuals convicted of similar offenses. Mr. Reid will be under house arrest until October 31, 2025, with strict conditions of probation, including weekly meetings with a parole officer, weekly behavioral counseling attendance, weekly meetings with a peer support sponsor, and stringent community service and employment requirements.”

    What do you think Bitter?

His alcohol level was way over the limit and he was driving at 80 miles an hour when he plowed into cars parked on the shoulder of the interstate.

The child has lasting consequences from the accident, will probably never make a full recovery. So I don’t think a 3 year sentence was draconian.

At the same time, he will still be under house arrest and on probation.

I guess one question is whether someone not associated with the winning SB team would be granted such a commutation.

What is it with Black DAs?

The one in Baltimore went to jail for scamming lots of Covid money for her personal use to buy houses and such.

You have the one in NYC who prosecuted Trump on an obscure law that has never been used to prosecute anyone before. And Trump is hit with $385 MM fine for a victimless crime.

Then you have Phoney Willis and her lover who are prosecuting Trump.

I know, it is not all Black DAs who are bat$hit crazy and corrupt because you have Gascone out there in LALA land in Caliphonia. But it seems to be a Black DA thing, mostly.

I guess like having tens of thousands of dollars in cash at your home is a “Black thing”.

It seems to me that when a Black mayor or DA gets elected, they then begin to do things, establish programs, that are specifically targeted to benefit/throw money to Blacks–whether it is “judicial reforms like no bail, defund the police, decriminalize weed, make carjacking a misdemeanor, pass resolutions requiring reparation payments to descendants of slaves, etc.

    ******************************************

    My second point is this:

With the Phoney Willis involved case…

IMO, evidence shows she and her lover lied through their teeth during the trial, and both should be removed from the case. I know she is the epitome of a strong Black woman, but even strong Black women can be both incompetent, inept, corrupt and wrong.

But the BIGGER picture is that she and her lover were coordinating with the Biden White House and other DAs, etc. bringing charges against Trump in various trials.

My fear is that Willis and lover boy are removed from the case and that no more light will be shined on the connection with the Biden White House of collusion to bring lawfare against Trump for political purposes. to bring down Trump and reassure Goofy Joe reelection. They need to follow the money more…

While the reserve is intended to provide a short-term supply to the region in the event of a similar natural disaster, in an October 2023 report, the DOE noted that it had never been used, would provide “minimal relief to a shortage condition,” and cost around $16 million a year to maintain.

Lyn Alden’s new book explains the problem with gold as a settlement layer. It stopped being money with the invention of the telegraph.

Gold used to settle instantaneously before this. For instance you rode a horse w a small amount of gold to the bank or a country. Or you took a ship across the ocean and had gold bars with you.

Once transactions became light speed, the banks had to issue IOUs for gold and settle later on, and eventually quit bothering with it entirely.

So at this point in society gold can no longer function as a settlement layer. You can try and regigger the financial system with great reset type things, but it inevitably will become corrupt again since it can’t actually serve as a settlement layer.

This is where bitcoin comes to replace the fiat currency system that is currently breaking down.

Anyway, the Paul’s always pushed Gold to their anti-semitic followers as a way to get back at the “jjjjeeeewwwww bankers” and the Fed. The real reason they pushed it…they were heavily invested in it and wanted it to rise to cash out.

    Whoops…

Wade’s former law partner Terrence Bradley testified last week that he did “not recall” the answers to most questions posed by defense attorneys, including when the relationship between Willis and Wade began. However, Trump co-defendant David Shafer’s attorneys informed the judge Monday that they planned to submit the testimony of a new witness that would seemingly contradict Bradley’s testimony, should the court re-open the evidence on the motion to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

The witness, Co-Chief Deputy for the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office Cindi Lee Yeager, says she spoke with Bradley on a number of occasions between August 2023 and January 2024 about Willis and Wade, according to a proposed testimony.

““Ms. Yeager watched Mr. Bradley’s testimony before the Court and became concerned as a result of the fact that what Mr. Bradley testified to on the witness stand was directly contrary to what Mr. Bradley had told Ms. Yeager in person,” the filing states.”

The judge knows Bradley was lying. But he now cannot pretend he doesn’t know.

Thune is a strong proponent of aid to Ukraine, a must for any R leader in the Senate.

Withdrawing American support for Ukraine could very well end up with a victorious and newly emboldened Putin on the doorstep of four former Soviet satellite states – now NATO members whom we are bound by treaty to protect.

“If Putin wins in Ukraine, it’s not hard to imagine him viewing incursions into one or more of those former Soviet states as a good idea.

“And given our treaty obligations – and the imperative to prevent a Soviet Union 2.0 – it’s not hard to imagine American troops being drawn into the resulting conflict.

“Supporting Ukrainians’ efforts to defend themselves against Putin’s war of aggression is a way of preventing a conflict that would require a far greater commitment from the United States.

“Not to mention warding off a likely catastrophic economic fallout in Europe from a wider war, which would take a heavy toll on American businesses and consumers.

“Furthermore, there’s little question that a Russian victory in Ukraine would embolden not just Putin but other malign actors – notably China.

“If Russia is successful at taking over part or all of Ukraine, why shouldn’t China think it can successfully take over Taiwan?

“We should be supporting Ukraine – not just because peoples fighting for freedom against tyranny are worthy of support, but because supporting Ukraine, like supporting Taiwan and Israel and other free countries, is in our national interest.

Additionally, this will be a two front cold war because we can be assured that if the US pulls aid from the Ukraine, China will be emboldened to attack Taiwan, since they will (correctly) presume we won’t help.

So now, the USA will be fighting a two front cold war that will blow the cost of the first one out of the water.

Why do they say Trump attempted to commit “election interference”?

What he was trying to do was to ascertain that all the ballots in GA were cast and counted correctly (they weren’t), the count was correct (it wasn’t), current State laws on the books and procedures were followed (they weren’t).

What is a better term for Trump’s involvement in the GA vote other than “election interference”?

    Involvement to ascertain “election accuracy”?

Involvement to ensure accuracy of the results as to “State law and procedures”?

And Trump has actually gained factual support (long after the 2020 election) for his questioning of the election outcome in various states as to the violation of state law in WI (as to the use of unsecured drop boxes) and PA (counting of ballots received after the deadline established in Stat code.

I do not remember hearing Trump wax eloquently about the various specific issues he was concerned about concerning the voting process in various states. I am sure Janz has kept audio tapes of Trump logically explaining what his concerns were in the days and weeks after the election and that she will soon share those with me and everyone.

All I remember Trump saying was, numerous times, was “we were way ahead, then the counting paused for a while, then in the middle of the night in multiple states, here comes hundreds of thousands of votes for Biden and suddenly we were behind everywhere. I tell you they stole the election.”

The overwhelming majority of the students thought that the % of AA in the U.S. was WAY over 50% of the total U.S. population. I explained that the real number was 11%, and they were STUNNED. That led to a discussion of why so many of the students thought the % of AAs was MUCH higher than it really was.

They figured it was due to:

–the large % of AAs on professional sports teams (and they watch a lot of pro sports on TV)

–the fact that their news comes out of the DC/Baltimore TV area where the majority of the news/sports/weather casters are Black and how 80% of the people they see on the TV news stories on the street are AAs.

–the fact that there saw so many Blacks on various TV shows they watch.

I agree on the ads. There has to be a minority person in every ad. Or a gay person. Or a bi-racial couple.

It’s stupid. But its the world we live in.

In the past, ads targeted the audience most likely to purchase that product. Expensive cars had rich white guys, the target audience. If white women were the audience, the ads featured white women.

Blacks are 12% of the population and probably 50% of the ads. Whites are 70% of the population and 20% of the ads. Bud lite uses a transgender person in an ad, when their target audience is working class straight men. Mercedes has young black guys driving their most expensive model, which few young black guys can afford.

Should anyone care, as Bitter asks?

I care only in the sense that failing to maximize advertising dollars to get the biggest bang for the buck is a symbol of the woke business culture we are experiencing today. Shareholders and investors are seeing their returns diminished by woke business practices, which in effect is just socialism in disguise.
