  12. The Putin lie about “sabotaging the peace process” is total bullshit. The only peace agreement that Putin was willing to accept in the Spring of 2021 was to take 2/3 of Ukraine. Then regroup to get the other 1/3. Russia held almost 2/3 of the country at that point. The late summer Ukrainian offensive reduced Russian territory by a lot. Any agreement would have ONLY favored Putin.

  22. The story about Boris Johnson and the role he played in killing an initial peace deal between Ukraine and Russia has been around a long time. If there is any truth to it, lots of bodies and infrastructure destroyed could have been saved. But, I guess that doesn’t matter to the Bitter/Jason crowd, as all they see is “winning” as the only worthwhile end game.

  25. Do you ever tune into any people interviews done, retllaw, at one of DJT’s rallies? If you did you would find people don’t base their opinions on someone by the crass language used, but rather on how a candidate hears and resolves the issues they find the most important. In the current environment the border invasion, high cost of living, erosion of our culture thru CRT education and gender alterations, unfair mandates, men playing women in sports, awful foreign policy maneuvers, and so on are on the minds of ordinary citizens. When Trump uses blunt, indelicate language at these rallies, rails against the press or his opponents, the people see it as “normal” exasperated language to all the unfairness we are being involuntarily subjected to and not addressed by mainstream republicans or over-the-top democrats. So, you may call Trump an a-hole, but a major portion of the electorate see him as a hardened fighter for their rights.

  26. Bitter I see a broader picture of resolving a conflict other than killing each other, the winner being the last man standing. If a solution could have been mutually reached, prior to the 2 years of bloodshed and lives torn apart, I would say that would have been a far better, wiser outcome, especially to the “little people” actually involved in the fighting, dying and/or losing loved ones. You’re just too invested in trying to put Putin down, rather than empathizing with the broader spectrum of a devastating war. For you, the only end game is for Putin to withdraw, and that’s not going to happen – especially since he has more man power to chew up and more resources to put into this nonsensical war. The only way for Zelenskyy to survive is to bleed the US for more money and armaments, of which we are making ourselves more vulnerable to attack from others and greater financial instability. It’s an insane path!

  28. it’s odd that we keep fighting over the same thing, the same comments. Jan…you are not going to bring Bitter, Jason, myself and others over to the defund Ukraine (Paul followers) side of the argument. We believe that supporting the Ukraine against the invasion is paramount to international security which affects the US on multiple levels.

Bitter, Jason et al…we are not going to convince Jan, Bubu et al that Funding to the Ukraine needs to continue and that they should not cede territory to someone who illegally invade their country, no matter how many times we denigrate Trump and call him an isolationist.

so hiw about both sides stop and cede that were not going to convince each other.

We, as traditional republicans, have to realize that the sleazy Paul followers have weaseled their way into the party with their isolationist mantra. While most Trump followers believe that it’s based on decreased spending and concentrating on America First, we all know that it’s just their (the Paultards) way of causing disarray and dissension in the party so that it is destroyed. Their goal is anarchy because in it they a. Won’t ever be asked to serve their country and defend freedom and b. They can do their drugs without going to jail and c. Scapegoat the Jews (btw has there ever been a bigger anti-Semite to serve in congress than Ron Paul? Imagine if he had been in power in the late 30’s).

sadly, this bloc has gained power (see the McCarthy ouster). After the election we need to find a way to come together (the Trump populists and traditional Republicans) before the scum Paul crowd can split us forever.

  32. Vic, you keep blaming the discord in the Republican Party for the “Paul Followers.” I just don’t see any connection to that reasoning. The America First crowd are very pro Israel, pro family, pro defense (when it involves our own national security interests), pro individual rights, pro God/religion, pro small business and less government regulation. There is no mention of Ron Paul that I’ve ever heard. And, his son, Rand Paul, usually argues alone for issues involving less government intrusion and less funding for overseas affairs.

As for MAGA, it’s a national populist group, honed in on their own country’s culture, reflecting the needs and wishes of it’s citizens rather than the global community under the reset image created by the WEF. Other countries are following in the same direction, voting in populist candidates. just look at the EU farmers and their revolt! How can you possibly say Paul is internationally effecting countries other than our’s?

  35. Jan. I think you need to read my follow up comments. The populists that back Trump agree more with the “establishment traditional Republican” that they despise and denigrate and demand agree with them 100% or leave the party, than they don’t.

the isolationism that has creeped into MAGA is directly from the Paul wing. They have made it mainstream, which is their plan. To make the tenants of their stupidity part of the party, one by one. The overthrow of McCarthy a great example.

so we are clear, I do not believe most MAGA are Paul supporters. They have just, without realizing it, allowed some of the Paul dogma to seep in.
