Bitter is stuck on talking about generals in the Civil War, not the ones dealing with Ukraine – the former being popular with the people, Zaluzhny, vs the new Zelenskyy puppet, aka “the butcher.” Why do you think Syrskyi is called the butcher by the rank and file? Answer: it’s because he sends his men into impossible situations where, without mercy, they are killed.
There is also far more to this Ukrainian war other than blindly sending in money/arms. Ukraine has devolved into a country where the current president is sending people to prison who dissent, who has become messianic in his unrealistic view of the war, according to Zaluzhny, and refuses to hold free elections. Then you have the figure of Victoria Nuland lurking around the fringes encouraging more war – now earning the name of “Angel of Death.” Over a week ago she hurried over to Ukraine, held a lonely press conference at night in the snow, hawking the war effort. It was a surreal scene. It seems the real beneficiaries of the war are people like Nuland, multinational companies like Blackrock, armament merchants, comedians who have turned into powerful men, and at the bottom of the list, the Ukrainians who have not sacrificed themselves or the lives of their children to the war.
Vic – Jan is fully invested in Trump’s isolationist cult. She blames Zelensky for everything and absolves Putin of blame. She pretends that she cares about the Ukrainians who are dying but ignores who is responsible for their deaths.
I just don’t understand the concept that Ukraine should give up. I don’t like Zelenskyy (or didn’t like him before the war) but he has a responsibility to continue fighting to protect his people. We have a responsibility to help our Allies and also to not let Putin expand
btw I don’t believe this is the trump isolationist policy. It’s the Paul influence that’s slithered into the party. You know. Don’t spend on anything.
Bitter, I have never absolved Russia and Putin of blame. However, there have been multiple interviews by the Economist, the NYTs, by the ex Commander in Chief, Zaluzhny, all saying the same thing - the war is in a “stalemate,” Zelenskyy is mishandling the war, there is a tremendous lack of manpower to fight the war, stealing and theft of aid is happening among Ukrainian officials — these weaknesses and issues are intrinsic in Ukraine, only encouraging Putin to stay engaged (not withdraw) from a wounded adversary who is in internal disarray.
BTW, have you or Vic ever been actively involved in military service?
Jan- Putin is not withdrawing because Ukraine is “in disarray”? Are you serious? Wait. You are.
I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 14. I did not know that diabetics are discriminated against by the US military until I went to West Point for a physical examination which was required for people considering applying to the Service Academies. The doctor said he did not need to perform an exam because I would never be considered for military service.
In college, I took the first course for ROTC. The Army Colonel teaching the class said he would see if he could obtain a waiver for me to continue in ROTC. It was denied.
In law school, I applied to serve as a JAG attorney in all services. I was denied by all of them because of my diabetes.
That is a long way of saying that I did not serve in the military.
Vic, good to know, as experience gives a person a wider perspective of an issue, especially when it comes to war. Most of my family members have been in the military, including my husband. They all view war, not from a theoretical POV, but from actually seeing caskets of the fallen and thankful they had escaped such a fate.
I know the people in SC are happy to see DJT today.
But I wonder if part of the ginormous crowd size is people sending Nikki a message? Time to get out. Your homestate utterly rejects you. This is a warning of what is coming
This latest allegation, if true, makes the continuation of Willis and Wade in the case untenable. The only thing more troubling than the relationship itself has been their response in putting their own interests before those of the case and the office. https://t.co/wuTRQ8KfLi

Had the Special Counsel recommended criminal charges against Biden, it wouldn’t have been half as bad for him as what we got; the country being informed that Biden committed crimes but is too mentally unfit to stand trial.
Paul, it was an off hand question about where her husband was, nothing more. if you call that a smear, then you’re looking for anything to smear him with, whether tangible or not.
btw McCain tanked the second appeal of Obamacare behind the scenes that was the Graham-Cassidy. They put Graham in charge of it because he was McCain’s best friend in the senate.
At the last moment though, McCain tanked the second appeal of Obamacare that most don’t know about because he wanted to spite Donald Trump’s presidency. The man was a serial liar
Pay attention to the words Democrats are using to explain Joe Biden’s health. They keep focusing on his AGE and not his mental capability, they are doing this because it allows them to replace Biden because of his age and then demand that Trump get removed because they removed their candidate. It’s another narrative that they have created to control the people, if they remove Biden after serving 4 years then Trump should get removed In February of 2028.
