I am thinking of voting for Biden. He can speak to the dead, after claiming he recently spoke to Mitterand last night he claimed he was with Helmut Kohl after Jan 6.
There is tremendous value in this ability. He can consult with Napoleon and glean insight from Lincoln and even Atilla the Hun. Alexander the Great would be a wonderful advisor on foreign policy. Helen of Troy might be able to contribute on the immigration issue. He should, however, stay away from Cleopatra as she was reputedly both alluring and manipulative.

Until 9th-10th grade, many girls are better than most boys. Then the boys shoot up and girls are at or close to their adult height.
As far as I know, there have not been any trans players in the basketball and softball teams I coach/compete against.
I hope that it does not become an issue here. If I was asked to coach a boy on a girls team, I would quit coaching. It would leave a huge hole in my life. I have coached 1-4 teams a year in baseball, basketball and softball since 2005. Some of the players I coached have gone on to play in college. Most did not. But they all had fun.
I think that girls sports deserve to only be played by girls. Allowing trans players will destroy the integrity of the game and push girls to the fringe of competition.

I did stop coaching baseball after my son finished 7th grade. After that, play shifted to travel and tournament teams. My son was a left-handed infielder, closer and catcher. Most coaches only wanted him as a pitcher and he did not feel like spending so much time traveling to only play by pitching one inning per game. Of course, if he had continued, he could be a left-handed closer in the MLB until he is 40. His best little league season was 30 strikeouts and 2 walks.

I’m with Jason. Biden’s ability to have dialogue with dead leaders gives the US a huge advantage over other world leaders. Imagine the advantage afforded to Biden for him being able to consistently draw upon the wisdom and experience of Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Charlamagne, Lincoln, and Churchill. Four more years, baby!!

I am torn over that. It depends on the sport and how many boys/size of boys. Is he a hard throwing softball pitcher? No. Too dangerous for my batters and he is also too dangerous to my pitchers. Remember that in softball, the pitcher is only 46 feet from the batter and the “mound” (called the circle) is not raised.
One boy on a girls team? Zzzzzz play a 3-2 or 2-3 zone. The alternative is a box and 1 defense with out best defender following him wherever he goes starting in the parking lot.

We should have a contest for predicting who the democrats will run for POTUS this fall. I just don’t see how it could possibly be Biden. I have followed these races my whole life and never once have Democrats just thrown away a POTUS race. Closest to a throw away was Mondale in 1984.
But here they can do something about the situation they are in. They will act.
Here is a list…any guesses?
I would think Newsome has to be the choice. They desperately want to make the whole country California, and they won’t be able to resist going hard left. They will think that Trump is a pushover or he will be jailed by the time of the election, so this is their big chance.

Shapiro. He brings PA to the Dem column. California is already theirs and Newsome probably only locks down states they already have. I know he is Jewish so it might cost some votes in Michigan but he pretends to be moderate and most people across the US don’t follow PA.

I don’t agree the Dems will dump Biden because I don’t think they have a consensus candidate strong enough to dump him for.
I think they will try to win with him and THEN have him resign for health reasons.

I get it now…last week when Biden was in the brewery and he suddenly said, “Ooo Earth Rider. Thanks for the Great Lakes” He was speaking directly to a long dead Native American chief called Earth Rider. He was thanking him for giving up the Great Lakes to us, so that we could make beer.

They cannot entirely hide him in the basement until November. They will have to give him the nomination, then replace him at the convention. They cannot risk the Democrat primary process because they might not get who they want.

They can do it. They control the MSM which is covering for them. Most Americans get their news from CBS, ABC, NBC, NYT, WAPO, USA Today, Reuters, AP, NPR, etc. They have all gotten the message that “Biden is fine” and the “economy is great” and “Republicans want to ban abortion nationally” and “Trump wants to implement a dictatorship”.

That Morning Consult poll with Trump up 5 nationally has a sample size of 6,138RV. That’s pretty robust, getting the margin of error down to 1. But this national number is compatible with these battleground state polls we have been tracking.

Just some added perspective of the Marquette poll from yesterday.
In 2020, the race in Wisconsin was declared a slight victory for Biden. But throughout the year 2020, here were the polling numbers put out by Marquette:
June 14-18: Biden 52 / Trump 44
August 4-9: Biden 50 / Trump 46
Octr 21-25: Biden 48 / Trump 43
And so far in 2024:
June 2023: Biden 52 / Trump 43
Octr 2023: Biden 50 / Trump 48
Jan 24-31: TRUMP 50 / Biden 49
And so their final 2020 poll was a 5 point gap favoring Biden. Now their poll yesterday has Trump ahead 1. These are the sort of numbers the Dem Party bosses (Obama and his cronies) are looking at in their smoke filled rooms. And I could show similar shifts in virtually any state against traditionally respected (left-leaning) pollsters.
There are toleration limits to the extent of dementia in a candidate, even with the media spreading lies 24/7.

I personally think everything in the Biden Administration is being run by Obama and his crew. In a released transcript of the Carlson/Putin interview , Biden was dismissed by Putin, saying his sources told him an unelected power was behind running our government. So, whoever the Dems put up as the face of their party will be chosen for their attractiveness to the people, their electability, as it will be other progressive powers really calling the shots. In light of this I think the dem nominee will be Michelle, Newsom, or Whitmer.

Listening to the SCOTUS arguments on the Colorado ballot case. The Colorado lawyer is way over his head and getting slaughtered, even Kagan asked him do you think Colorado should decide who is President without an election?
Thomas, Roberts and Kavanaugh have asked him about 10 times where in the 14th amendment section 3 does it say states have this right to disqualify candidates and he keeps saying well Section 2 (allows states to determine how electors are chosen) gives the state “the power to implement section 3 of the 14th amendment” which every justice who has spoken so far thinks is BS.

He was just asked what if other states now decide Biden is ineligible is that ok. So he answers well this case is extraordinary because it is an insurrection and Roberts said well what if the other states have a different interpretation of what is an insurrection? Are we going to have an election where only the states that didn’t disqualify a candidate for the ballot decide the election?

Mike Davis is reporting on SCOTUS hearing arguments for the CO ballot case. His take is the Trump’s lawyer is convincingly presenting the case for his client, and the court will rule in favor of Trump.
Even though Trump’s name is attached to all these lawfare cases, it’s far less about him than the precedent they’ll set for future presidencies should the Dems win. The same long term influence was intrinsic in the border deal, where it set up provisions making it more difficult to rectify, or even appeal, illegal border crossings for future administrations.

But the Dem lawyer is doing a good job of destroying future arguments for federalizing elections like his party wants.
He keeps going back to how SCOTUS has always reaffirmed the “raw” right to run its own election system and how that is enshrined in the Constitution.
He would actually have to make the exact opposite argument if he were defending HR-1 before the court.

Jackson so far has been the only one to offer this guy a bone or two. She said well weren’t there cases of Congress disqualifying candidates beyond the Civil War, in other words she is claiming this Amendment is still valid and does not only apply to Confederates.
This argument was not accepted by the conservatives, who said yeah but CONGRESS not states. They keep going back to where is the authority given to states to disqualify candidates in a Federal election (Thomas said “just give me an example of that ever happening”) and the Dem says well there are no examples but “historians who filed briefs” supported the theory…..zzzzzz.

I wish one of the justices had the balls to say “who decided this was an insurrection” to start with. Was Trump acquitted of starting an insurrection? Yes? Did the SC bring insurrection charges against Trump? No?
Or is it based on a Congressional committee composed 100% of people who declared Trump an insurrectionist before the committee even was appointed.
The “insurrectionist” charge against Trump is a political one, not a legal one.

Sick joke of the day:
Seems this young, single woman who had three daughters, Hope, Destiny and Faith.
When she was shopping at a large store the girls wondered off and she got separated from them. Authorities called and they found two of the girls in the store but Faith, the oldest girl, was nowhere to be found, forever gone.
Then she got laid off from her job and had could not provide for herself and Faith and Destiny. The welfare people came in and took Hope from her to place Hope in a foster home.
Still, she could not provide, and the next month the welfare people told her they might take little Destiny if the woman did not financially improve her situation.
She was certainly despondent.
For she had lost Faith, had given up Hope, and her Destiny was questionable.
