I hope Haley will stay in through Super Tuesday. Trump is an arrogant mf-er and does not deserve a coronation. That said, he will be the nominee. I expect he will lose and hand the House and Senate to the Dems. Still, we have to unite because the Democrats are always worse.
The REAL reason she is staying in the race is because the megadonors and deepstate are planning to remove Trump one way or another before the convention.
If she can limp along to the convention, they can then install Neocon Nikki as the party leader or install her afterwards if she becomes the VP.
Like Jeb! she HAD a conservative record as governor to run on had she wanted.
Jeb! decided that what the electorate wanted was “illegal immigration is an act of love” The illegal immigration quote was tremendously destructive to his candidacy.
IMO, Nikki the BLM Panderer destroyed any chance she ever had with this tweet:
“It’s important to understand that the death of George Floyd was personal and painful for many. In order to heal, it needs to be personal and painful for everyone.”
Bitter denies this is pandering, but that is like denying the sun rises in the East. It is an obvious attempt to put a guilt trip and assign responsibility on all of America for the actions of a rogue cop in a liberal city in a liberal state.
If that is not pandering, what is? That was BLM’s argument. We are all racists and thus we all should share blame and all pay the price. The fact Haley thought she needed to support this absurd meme shows she is not qualified to be President.
Sorry, I don’t feel any responsibility for the actions of Derek Chauvin, who probably would have treated George Floyd the same way if he had been a white drug addict criminal in the process of committing a felony and resisting arrest. Derek Chauvin was a rogue cop, a bad apple. He should pay for his actions, but he alone is responsible for them.
Nikki “you must feel my pain” Haley should apologize for that tweet. It is never too late.
Illinois Councilman: Let’s Put Illegals Up in Wealthy Mansions
Naperville City Councilman Josh McBroom suggested last week at a council meeting that residents should consider creating a signup sheet for residents to open up their homes to illegal immigrants. Naperville, a suburb of Chicago, is home to about 149,000 people.”
Damm, I am sure this will catch on like wildfire in Radnor too.
This is the one thing I have kept my eye on to have any hope in the general and its impact on down ballot voting. Trump didn’t like the fact that this was pointed out by his awesome former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Fox News last night so he attacked her in typical Trump fashion.
Trump has some major issues…in Iowa 4 out 10 Haley voters will not vote for Trump in the General and in NH 7 out of 10 Haley voters will not.
These voters are primarily moderate GOP and swing independents… very few Dems. Which Trump needs to win swing states. Trump and his campaign is selling through social media to the MAGA crowd that the majority of these are Democrats voting for Haley. Not true.
Any alleged Republican who will not vote for Haley or Trump in a General Election should just vote for Biden or his replacement. It will have the same result and be more honest.
We had this when the Bush’s hijacked the party. it’s impossible to regroup when the enemy is within your party. Even losing is better than having Haley on the ticket or as nominee.
Fox News Chief Political Analyst Brit Hume was not impressed with Trump’s win in NH:
“If you think of him as an incumbent, this showing tonight’s weak, right? I mean, he should be doing better. And it’s also a sign of weakness that the independents and others who voted in this primary were… not welcomed by the Trump campaign and by a lot of his supporters…
There’s weakness there with Trump. There’s no doubt about it even if wins, you know, easily and going away. Look, he lost in 2020. His candidates lost in 2022. I mean, he has a lot of losses on his book.”
Ronna Romney asks Nikita to quit the race. I think Nikita will do so actually. It would be embarrassing for the ex sc governor to lose by 20+ points in her own state.
Jason, we already talked about this poll yesterday. And its stupid what they are saying in this link. The last TWO national matchup polls show Trump ahead by FIVE, this from the Bullfinch Group and Morning Consult. In fact, Trump has led in 11 out of the last 13 national polls.
Furthermore, Trump trails by only 9 in NY according to Siena, and by 3 in VA according to VCU. Trump has led in EVERY poll of GA, nearly every poll in AZ, the majority of polls in MI, the majority of polls in PA, and half of the polls in WI.
But along comes ONE poll of PA, that goes against the others, and suddenly its seen as an omen because Trump has secured the nomination.
To be fair, maybe Hume should have noticed that Trump set a record for votes gotten in a NH primary. I agree that Trump has weaknesses, but I didn’t see any in NH, a state he is very unlikely to win in the fall.
All kinds of goofiness today. Just a few weeks ago it was an open question as to whether or not Trump would win NH at all. One poll from ARG had it a virtual tie. Then late polls showed momentum to Trump, but because he didn’t get 60% in NH he is suddenly weak?
It’s apparent that big donors are keeping Haley in the race hoping that the lawfare being waged against President Trump is successful. I would hope that influential Republicans begin to speak up and call out those responsible for this abuse of the legal system.
On another subject, I like the fact that Gov Abbott ordered the Texas National Guard to put up more razor wire, in spite of the SCOTUS decision. Pretty nervy of him.
If there is a gender problem with trump (not sure I buy it), wouldn’t Noem or Sarah sanders be better. Noem did not lock down and Sarah sanders is a rock star.

Shitlibs pose as Republicans for a primary and somehow this tells us something about true Republican support for Trump. Goober level analysis here. https://t.co/v4a2DV5aZF
I guess I disagree with jason and Hume. It is never easy for any candidate who isn’t a sitting president to win both IA and NH. I get that Trump is sort of a quasi-incumbent, but he did not run unopposed, and he still won both states. Trump has many problems, I willingly admit that, but winning the first two states is not one of them.
When was the last time there were only 2 GOP candidates in a contested NH primary? Maybe when Pat Buchanan ran against GWB in 1992. GWB had 58% (better than Trump) and Buchanan 40% (less than Haley).
Biden appreciates your support. You should just vote for him because the result is the same and be honest about it. ”
Life is full of tough decisions.
I decided long ago I don’t vote for candidates I don’t think are qualified for the office, and I won’t ever regret doing so even if I am later proven wrong, you have to make decisions based on the facts at hand.
Nikki “you must feel my pain” Haley pandered to the absolute worst in our society because she did not have the decency, moral courage, or common sense to resist the pressure to do so. A single tweet exposed her for what she is, a candidated who can never be trusted on anything she says.
Biden might be even worse. It doesn’t matter to me.
Just a few weeks ago it was an open question as to whether or not Trump would win NH at all. Now the goalposts have been moved…he won with 55% of the vote, but it wasn’t 70% so he isn’t popular.
I would have been thrilled if DeSantis had won IA and NH grabbing just 50% of the vote in each state. You would have been too. And nobody would have accused him of not being popular enough in those wins.
Trump is deeply flawed, and I wish we had DeSantis instead. Because we don’t, we have to do this 2024 election the hard way. But saying Trump’s wins were unconvincing, when he was more convincing, by far, than all those who ran against him is just silly.
Zzzzzz. Just accept that you will be supporting Biden graciously. GFY
I still have my last exchange with Wes saved. It is interesting that based on different reasons, both Jason and Wes would accept a Biden victory. Wes would have voted for Biden if Trump was the nominee. Jason will not vote if Haley is the VP nominee (which has the same effect as voting for Biden). Ironic that Wes and Jason had so many disagreements but would potentially have supported Biden depending upon circumstances.
I am under no delusion that Trump will win NH in the general election. I don’t think any Republican would win that state, simply because too many Democrats live there and they vote. At this point the general election is a tossup. I am not as pessimistic as Bitter, nor am I thinking Trump cannot be defeated. Trump absolutely could lose, and lose spectacularly.
The problems in predicting what will happen are many.
1. We don’t know who the Dems will run. Clearly Biden can’t do it. And I don’t think they can entirely keep him in the basement for the next 10 and half months.
2. We don’t know what virus the Chinese are cooking up and when it will be released, and what impact that will have on the election.
3. We don’t know the extent and severity of the forthcoming terrorist attack and how that will impact the election.
4. We don’t know what Trump will do, but he is very much a loose cannon and can easily self-destruct.
5. We don’t yet know how bad the economy will in the weeks prior to the election.
6. We don’t know how the wars in the middle east and Ukraine will impact the election.
7. We don’t know how many wars Biden will get us into this year, in his attempts to distract voters.
8. We DO know that ballot fraud will be rampant as states print millions of ballots and mail them to empty lots where nobody lives–making them available to ballot harvesters.
9. We DO know that the media will shill for the Dem candidate 24/7.
10. We DO know that the Dem candidate will try to buy as many votes as possible through extensive pandering.
Here is simple math for my Incan A-hole. If somebody votes for Biden, he gets 1 vote. If somebody votes for Trump. Trump gets 1 vote. That leaves Biden and Trump tied 1-1. However, if somebody chooses to not vote for Trump, then Biden has 1 vote and Trump has 0 votes. Biden wins 1-0.

What a bunch of convoluted fake math that is. You need to stop using Kommie Kory as your math teacher.
Here is how math works in the real world.
If I vote for Biden, he gets 1 vote. If I don’t vote for Biden he gets 0 votes.
Or the 50 million of attack adds spent on DeSantis by Trump and Haley. Pretty stupid… I really have no sympathy for faux conservative establishment candidates like Trump and Haley.
I know right. i was told so many times that Kamala would have euthanized Grampa Joe and replaced him by now. I guess there is still time. I’m sounding like DW now.
“In the last few weeks, I’ve heard a few people ask me rhetorically, “So what’s Haley’s plan? To just stay in and rack up delegates in case something happens to Trump?” To which my instinctive response has been, “er . . . actually, yeah?” Trump is an overweight, lazy, deranged 77-year-old who is under indictment from all corners. It really is not beyond the pale to observe that a lot of bad things could happen to him before November. He could die. He could have a heart attack or a stroke. He could fall off a stage. He could be convicted. He could be jailed. In the NFL, teams often carry two backup quarterbacks. Wouldn’t it be a good idea for the Republican Party to carry at least one? “Strange things” do, indeed, “happen.” Providing that she has the money, Haley ought to stay in for as long as she can.”
“SHOCK: 35% OF REPUBLICANS WILL NOT VOTE FOR THE DON!”
Factor that into the GE.
Another 11% would not like it, but would actually hold nose and vote for Trump in GE.
Trump’s persona and personal, and etc. negatives are baked in.
Overlooked by many in 2016.
Not overlooked in 2020.
(After 4 years of being in office and watching him and his behavior)
Not gonna be overlooked in 2024.
(after watching him and his behavior from Jan, 2021 to now)
Trump is his own worst enemy.
He is no longer an unknown quantity.
No longer will voters on the fence give him the benefit of the doubt.
Sorry Jan. that is the reality.
If you want to actually win the White House and effect good policy, you first have to have a candidate who can be elected in November.
Trump is simply not that candidate.
No amount of spin will change that.
Trump is not acceptable to a boatload of Rs, majority of Indys and soft Ds.
But after the election, we can analyze and say, “wasn’t it wonderful that Trump only lost NY by 9 points, only lost Cal. by 15%, only lost PA by 3%, only lost….
DW, your 10-point post had cogent possibilities and questions about the upcoming election. I agree with every one of them, hoping few become reality. I also give you kudos for analyzing the election results factually, rather than through the lens of disappointment that your candidate of choice, RDS, wasn’t out front instead of DJT.
I personally feel, however, Trump has a real uphill battle to even win the nomination, let alone the 270 electoral prize at the end of the GE. The corporatists and globalists are the enemies of free people, and they will do anything and everything to deter Trump, who, no matter what you may think about him, is considered the “Braveheart” of the grassroots, working/middle class peoples. Haley, is definitely the new shiny vehicle of Anti-Trumpers given the assignment of weakening him. After NH she is having 15 different donor forays with billionaires, many of whom are democrats. On their monetary fumes she will go on and act like she is winning, whether or not if that’s true. Last night Nikki Haley showed me her real colors, and they were far from Republican. In fact her campaign is being basically sustained by a mixture of democrats, and republicans who collude with them in policy-making most of us detest. That’s why if she should be become the R nominee I won’t vote for her. IMO, it would be like voting for a Republican in democrat clothing.

Not true. Voting for Trump cancels out 1 Biden vote. Not voting for Trump leads to Biden +[.”
Huh, no. Fake math.
Let’s go back to the blackboard. None of this “cancel out” BS.
If I vote for Biden it gives him 1 vote. If I don’t vote for him he gets 0 votes.
THAT is the only “math” here.
You said I was “supporting Biden”. That is a lie. Not voting for the BLM Panderer is not a vote for Biden no matter how much Kommie Korie math you try to invent.
#2 and #3 are not at all unrealistic Bitter. China put out a virus 4 years ago, and it did impact our election with all the ballots floating around for ballet harvesters to fill out and drop in a box with no chain of custody. If they did it 4 years ago, why not try it again.
And with the wide open borders, why wouldn’t radicals do again what they have successfully done before, and launch a terror attack here on our soil?
Whacky conspiracy pages might be predicting stuff that has never happened before. I am just predicting that things happen that have happened before.
La Dem Nikita will wait for polling and she will back out. I am sure she wants to run in Sc again, the drats in sc won’t help her for the reason I already noted, and she probably could get a cabinet position this time, even though she is dumb as dumb can be.
Trump received 70% of the Republican vote, while 30% were gleaned from Dems and Indies. Haley had the exact reversal – 70% of her votes were from Dems and Indies, while only 30% came from republicans. NH has 2 dem senators and is generally considered a blue state. Despite this Trump was able to inspire enough republicans to come out and vote, winning by an unprecedented 11 points. Bitter, your cult leader, a Republican depending on Dems, is more a Republican in dem clothing than her opponent simply by honestly applying the math.
The guy who is funding Haley, Reid Hoffman, was an island boy

Democrat Rep. Dean Phillips: “My party is completely delusional right now”
Joni Job
@jj_talking
Dean Phillips – you’re not asking the questions that Americans give a sh*t about- in fact most of the people are going to the Trump rally right now because he’s listening to them.
Zzzzzzz I preferred DeSantis until he went weak on Ukraine. I decided on voting for either Christie or Haley because unlike Trump (moron regarding Ukraine), they support America’s strategic interest. Christie dropped out, so that left Haley. If she abandons support for Ukraine, I will just write in Christie in the PA primary. Haley is a conservative Republican and Trump is neither. Still, Trump is going to be the nominee so he will get my vote on his way to losing.
As opposed to Tina who just copies and posts nonsense from conspiracy blogs and sites? Forced to choose, I think Haley is more intelligent than retired Federal employee Tina.
. Bitter, your cult leader, a Republican depending on Dems, is more a Republican in dem clothing than her opponent simply by honestly applying the math.”
Janzam should stay out of the “math” part too.
Winning a majority of the “declared R” vote is no great thing for Trump, quite the contrary.
What would have been impressive would have been IF he could have cornered some of the Indy vote that went to Haley.
There are not enough Rs to win the Presidency. Trump would need a majority of Indies to vote for him to win.
Trump underperformed in both IA and NH exactly because he only won his base.
”What would have been impressive would have been IF he could have cornered some of the Indy vote that went to Haley.”
Get an updated math book. That’s an old strategic gambit. Most current day data experts have shown indies are not that persuadable in their leanings. What produces more votes for the Republican party is going after and targeting low-propensity voters – ones who are ideologically Republican, but who don’t actually get out to vote. In NH, that’s exactly what happened for Trump. He was able to enthuse a greater number of republicans to participate in voting, creating the 11 Pt winning margin, despite the numbers of indies and Dems who came out to diminish Trump by voting for a Haley.
In PA, Biden is now running ads on ABORTION and claiming the economy is finally recovering from the damage Trump caused. Just letting you know what the Dems will be saying in the campaign. Plus “insurrection.”
Nikki Haley is so smitten by Hillary Clinton that she even duplicated her “Basket of Deplorables” moment right before the NH primary.

Nikki Haley said on Fox and Friends that President Trump’s supporters aren’t normal people. What an awful thing to say. All trump supporters in New Hampshire must get out and vote. It’s so important to send the globalists a big message at the ballot box.
The Canadian court just found Trudeau’s authoritarian actions towards the truckers were unconstitutional. Eventually, I strongly feel a similar ruling will happen in how the DOJ and Intel community has colored and mishandled the J6 protesters.
More evidence Trump’s win in NH was nothing to crow about.
Fred Bauer
“If these results indicate the long odds Haley confronts win the primary, however, they also signal some of the structural challenges that Trump may face in a general election. His win over Haley was decisive but not overwhelming. And some of the data from exit polls suggest that a significant portion of Haley’s vote does not come simply from otherwise-Democratic voters who decided to vote in the New Hampshire primary this year. More than 80 percent of the electorate had voted in a Republican primary before, and Haley won 40 percent of these voters. Throughout the primary, Trump has tried to position himself as the de facto incumbent and has been treated that way by many Republicans. An “incumbent” getting only 60 percent of the vote from past Republican primary voters wouldn’t seem to be operating from a position of strength.”
Voting is cumulative. All of Biden’s votes are added up. All of Trump’s votes are added up. If Biden has 1 more vote than Trump because you did not vote, Biden wins by 1. If you had voted for Trump, it would be a tie.
While Bitter’s “math” sucks, I tend to agree with his pessimism for the GE.
Nothing I have seen so far makes me think other than this is Biden’s race to lose if the R nominee is Trump.
Trump cannot unite the GOP, the only person that possibly could have done that was the Golden Calf.
The GOP is going into this GE with a deeply flawed and divisive candidate that is once again going to be poorly funded and poorly organized. The RNC is in disarray. The election will be about Trump and not the issues.
The best the GOP can hope for is some unexpected event that will change the dynamics.
Voting is cumulative. All of Biden’s votes are added up. All of Trump’s votes are added up. If Biden has 1 more vote than Trump because you did not vote, Biden wins by 1. If you had voted for Trump, it would be a tie.”
Of course, this is a silly made up fantasy too. The US uses the EC, so it doesn’t really matter who has “more votes”.
Bitter and Jason – you both do know (I hope) that you are both right…in a way and are just playing a game of semantics
(Bitter I can see you in court trying to get someone to answer yes or no to a question that is neither and getting the judge to force the witness to say one or the other)
Jason. By not voting you are not implicitly helping Biden, you are purposely hurting Trump.
Again, you are both right, or in HHR fashion…both can be true
So basically what I’m hearing is that the November election is useless. We will lose all three “elections” and the dems will have the White House, House and Senate
No need to vote. No need to campaign. Why bother. Let’s just coronate the Dems. How many seats should we give them in the House? What races do we give to the Dems in the Senate?
Tina. They didn’t rule on the law. They ruled on whether the courts decision should stand until the 5th circuit rules, and then the SC can review it based on law
HHR has been around since 2003. Tina said nothing about Trump’s donations to hard core Leftists for decades. Ever since 2015 she has given Trump a free pass on the issue.
Vic – I will always vote regardless of the impending losses. The Dems will be running on Trump’s “insurrection” and abortion. It helped them in 2021, 2022 and 2023. I don’t see it changing. I hope I am wrong.

Sanders is a “no,” as she likes where she is as governor. RDS needs to make up for his absence in FL. Noem is a possibility as is Elise Stefanik. I personally like Mark Robinson and Bryon Donalds. Ben Carson’s name has been floated around too. However, I’m getting an inkling about Vivek being considered. He’s been very visible on stage with Trump and his family since his endorsement, even being asked to say a few words (like he’s trying out for the job). Also, I remember reading he was a friend of Jared and Ivanka, with others saying he would appeal to youth, libertarians and indies. I’m not really down with such a choice as there is still too much unknown about the guy.
I wonder why Abbott has suddenly become so confrontational? It’s great what he is doing, but so unlike a Republican to grow a spine and actually defy a Dems orders.
How does a normal candidate for nation office behave after he wins a primary? How does Trump behave?

“And I congratulate my primary worthy opponent, and her supporters, who waged a hard-fought campaign to win the R nomination but came up short. My opponent and her supporters all want what I want–to bring a positive change and lead us in the direction where our country is made better in every way than instead of barreling down the road to 4 more years of disasters and failed policies of the Biden Administration that harm Americans and American families economically and put the security of our nation in real peril. I welcome all freedom loving, America loving voters of my worthy opponent to join with me and come support me so we can end the harmful absurdities imposed upon America by the Biden Administration of big, intrusive and absolutely wrong far left policies imposed by an out of touch big government.”

Jan, et all:
THAT is the problem! It is ALWAYS, ALL .ABOUT. TRUMP! Never about what is good for the party or the country. Never about being gracious to those primary opponents who he defeats.
In the Primaries, it is NEVER about the BIG picture OF WHO THE REAL ENEMY IS (BIDEN AND HIS DISASTEROUS POLICIES) AND TRUP NEVER SEES THE BIG PICTURE (WINNING IN NOVEMBER) BECAUSE HE IS SO FOUCSED ON DESTROYING HIS RPRIMARY OPPONENTS.
EVEN AFTER THE PRIMARY IS OVER AND HE GOT THE MOST VOTES! He still spends 99% of his time trashing his R opponents.
INSTEAD, to Trump THEY–his primary opponents–ARE THE ENEMY (NOT JUST A PRIMARY OPPONENT). THE ENEMY!
TO TRUMP, THEY MUST BE PERSONALLY, PROFESSIONALLY, POLITICALLY ANIHILATED and utterly destroyed TO ASHES.
I was never for Beotchy on the court. Beotchy believes in the good faith/intent of the federal gubment. That is why she loves vax mandates and other mandates.
I will forever be THANKFUL and GRATEFUL that Trump defeated Hilary Clinton in 2016.
I was happy shocked.
Even with all the Trump missteps and (mostly) self inflicted failures.
His 4 years a s president were 10 times better than what 4 years of Hilary Clinton would have given us.
******************************************************
IF…IF Trump somehow, by some miracle, gets elected in 2024, then his administration will be 5 to 10 time better than another 4 years of the Biden Doufus.
But a DeSantis Presidency would have give us an administration that was 100 ties better than 4 more years of Biden Doufus.
Justice Barrett is a strong conservative Supreme Court Justice. She is married with 7 children (2 adopted from Haiti). Frustrated blog lawyer (Gateway Pundit Law School) Tina dismisses her as a bitch.
Trump can pick anybody he wants. It could even be a self-torpedoing pick. Remember in 1992 Ross Perot ran for the Reform Party, and in the polling he started to get spooked because it looked like he was gaining ground and could become a serious contender to split the middle and beat both Clinton and Bush. So he picked a 69 year old retired vice-admiral of the Navy, James Stockdale, someone without any political experience who nobody ever heard of. He was too much like Perot himself, and the polling thereafter cooled for Perot. Had he picked a credible veep, hard to know how that election would have turned out.

I’m not sure there can be a reunification of the Republican Party as it now stands. For years now people have seen few differences between the two major parties, hence the names”Uniparty” is often used to describe their overlapping actions. I also see this party-blending is why Independents have become a major faction in the political spectrum, as fewer and fewer people want to identify with a party who has gone so far afield from their own ideals/values – a Ronald Reagan anecdote of “I didn’t leave the party, the party left me.”
I think this kind of identity dissatisfaction is why Trump’s appeal has grown with the politically disenfranchised segments of this country, loosely forming a populist wing. Consequently, it has been discussed in alternative media that elections are no longer between Dems and republicans, but, rather between populists and globalists. The former, populists consist mainly of workers, middle class, small business owners, individualists, while globalists are establishment politicians, legacy media types & academia, a citizenry ruled by a global governance. Therefore, I see people shifting around in their political frameworks, forming new ones aligned with who they are, fed by a society/culture of their own making, rather than dictated to by some kind outside globally “woke” authority.

Not true.

I guess I disagree with jason and Hume. It is never easy for any candidate who isn’t a sitting president to win both IA and NH. Trump has many problems, I willingly admit that, but winning the first two states is not one of them.

The best the GOP can hope for is some unexpected event that will change the dynamics.
Barring that, Biden is one lucky bastard.

Of course, this is a silly made up fantasy too. The US uses the EC, so it doesn’t really matter who has “more votes”.
But Bitter knows that.

How does a normal candidate for nation office behave after he wins a primary? How does Trump behave?
NORMAL R candidate primary winner being interviewed right after he is declared the winner.
“I would like to thank all my supporters…blah blah, blah… ”
TRUMP. “That F–king Haley! She is scum. That B-tch refuses to stop her campaign. I destroyed her in the election. But she jumps on stage and claims a “victory’. She is CLUELESS!
The nerve!”
**********************************************
THAT is the guy you think can unite America….
