The bovine friend opined about all the fighting that has been taking place in the middle east.
Cow’s friend said she thought she knew the basic cause for all the hatred, vitriol and fighting and upset-ness of the people of the middle east.
She said she thought “it is because the Jewish people do not eat crab, lobster, shrimp and scallops and both the Jewish folk and the Muslims do not eat bacon and country ham.

The DPP anti-CCP party won the Taiwanese presidential election through paper ballots, no machines, persevering through all kinds of CCP intimidation and threats. Much like here in the US, with lawfare running roughshod over a candidate they didn’t want to win, so was the plight of Taiwan in standing by their candidate of choice, William Lai. A spokeswoman for his election victory said their inspiration was the U.S. American First party and their leader, Trump. Furthermore, these elections took place with threats from XI saying he would invade Taiwan should they go against the CCP endorsed candidate, have blockades for trade etc. But, unlike another country bullied by a neighbor, Taiwan did not cancel their elections, have not banned churches, a free press or imprisoned (possibly killed) an independent journalist posting dissenting opinions about a government in power.

Sorry, but DeSantis is not in over his head. That is abjectly stupid thing to say. DeSantis is an extremely gifted Governor of the third most populous state in the union.
I want to do a bit of counterintelligence on JeffP’s analysis of Trump.
He was a silver spoon kid, but an atypical one. His strong father had a work ethic encompassing climbing the ladder from the bottom going up, learning the building trade from the perspective of the worker rather than the CEO. That’s where Trump learned a simpatico with the common worker, often elevating them when he was boss, regardless of gender, through merit rather than credentials. He raised his own kids in the same fashion, learning the business trade on site rather than from behind a big desk. This same skill set is what sets him apart from the ordinary ivy leagued politician, making him a far more relatable person to the people despite being a billionaire.
Ironically while Trump often magnifies things from accomplishments to crowd size, he rarely talks about a side of him who personally wrote checks to families having loved ones held captive, had medical expenses, mortgage problems or were down and out in life. Over his years in office others would share such cameos of kindness through interviews or articles that never reached the interest of the MSM. He has written letters, met with families of deceased military, and generally taken a keen interest in ordinary people. He took no salary while in office, and actually donated assets back to the treasury. When he was being investigated by Mueller he cooperated fully in a timely manner (except for a sit-down), and after supposedly losing the 2020 election he put together a transition team to interact with Biden during the entire time he fought the integrity of the election. This included all the research done to effectuate a successful Afghanistan pull-out. Biden rejected everything and instead constructed his withdrawal around a 911 speech he wanted to make elevating his own image.
Finally, Trump is petty and thin-skinned especially when it involves disloyalty or untrustworthiness. When he experiences such from people he is relentless In exposing these vices in them. However, far from finding him insecure, he seems very comfortable being who he is, whether or not it’s politically correct or acceptable to the elites around him. I also see him as very intelligent – probably with a high IQ – which is mostly shaded by the use of common, street language employed in public settings. His native intelligence though sometimes gives him an edgy, impatient demeanor, as he simply sees and comprehends events on a totally different level than most.
I highly doubt he is as awesome as you portray him. Only 4 of 44 of his Cabinet members support him in 2024. No excuses please. That speaks volumes. I don’t think you understand what it takes to be a great leader.
Tina thinks saying somebody is fat is deep analysis. Of course, it is one of the only independent thoughts she has. The rest of her posts are copied from others. Maybe she could apply to be the President of Harvard.
Bl is mad because we predicted all the fraud, waste and abuse in Ukraine at least a year ago. Sure enough, the pentagon report proves it. Moreover, the grifter killed an American journalist.
JeffP, all I’m doing is posting info, interviews, tidbits about Trump’s background I’ve read or heard, plus reading into his conduct based upon my own medical/public health and personal experiences. I have not said the man was “awesome.” However, he is also not as sinister and unworthy as many here make him out to be. I read some of the stuff posted here, though, and it’s so slanted, biased and untrue that I feel compelled to add corrections.
As for that lopsided 4 out of 44 cabinet members story, what it indicates is that these high ranking positions were filled by people who didn’t work well with him, or were suggested by others as an internal means to curtail or control his agenda or policies. As a novice in 2016, Trump had little beforehand knowledge about these cabinet people. Should he have a second term he will have more familiarity and experience in whom to surround himself with.
RDS had events all day throughout the state and volunteers were out knocking on doors. Even his Mom was knocking on doors in freezing temperatures most of the day! 😂😎😉
Tina is mad because her hero Putin is almost 2 years into his 3 day special operation and no closer to defeating Ukraine. Claiming that heroic war time leader Zelensky is as vile as war criminal Putin shows how pathetic Tina is.
A Fortune 500 company is looking for a new CEO and one of the top candidates from another company has 40 out of 44 executives that have worked for him that give you negative recommendations and encourage you not to hire there old boss…would you?
“A lot of Trump grifters frantically scrubbing their X feeds of Vivek slurping now that Godfather has ordered the hit. Leave the tweets, take the cannoli.”
If Haley finishes ahead of RDS in Iowa it’s all over. I find it hard to believe he isn’t in second.
To be honest, though he is my preferred candidate I don’t think, nor did I think, anyone could have beaten trump this cycle.
Now, if Haley finishes second here, is strong in NH and SC I think she cements the VP nod.
I know Jason is against it because of her position(s) that change with the latest focus group BUT I think she’s enough to push Trump over the finish line in Az. GA, NV, and maybe PA, MI, and Wi. Who else does thst for him.
Again, Jason, I know you disagree or won’t Vite for Trump I’d shes on the ticket, but we NEED to take back the White House, and if this helps…so be it
Only 69% of the poll sample are Republicans?? A whopping 23% are independents and 5% Democrats.
You have to change your registration on the day at the caucus-site. In 2016, just 0.9% of new GOP registrations were Democrat, and only 3% were Independent.
A whopping 39% of Haley’s supporters are independents and 11% are *Democrats*. That’s half her vote!
2016 had a Democrat caucus unlike this year, but add in the weather effect and Haley’s lead is almost certainly being overstated – big time.
Not to mention RDS favorables and enthusiasm is higher than Haley’s. Haley net favorable +2 and DeSantis is in the teens.
Great way to “frisk the poll” Jeff. I didn’t look into it, so that’s a great pickup. I doubt there’s any way that 30% of the voters are not Republican. What exactly do the Dems think they will accomplish by pushing Haley past RDS, other than to get her the VP nod, which I think, electorally, hurts them in November.
Even if Trump and RDS mended fences (and I don’t think the bad blood is that bad), they can’t be on the same ticket because they both hail from FL and RDS can’t change his registration, and I doubt Trump would do it again. Also…2024…two white males…not going to happen. We are long past the premise that the best person for the job should get the job.
On a night when turnout and enthusiasm matters, the Iowa Poll shows one bright spot for DeSantis, whose supporters are more likely to say they will definitely attend the caucus.
Overall, 55% of poll respondents say they will definitely, rather than probably, attend the caucuses on Monday.
Among DeSantis supporters, 62% say they will definitely attend. Among Trump supporters, it is 56%, and 51% of Haley supporters.
Trump does well with Christians – 51%
Registered Republicans – 54%
first-time caucus goers – 56%
DeSantis – Christians – 21%
Haley’s support does seem to be all independents – 33% and Dems
On the Enthusiasm scale, this is where Haley really suffers: Trump is at 88% extremely or Very Enthusiastic in their support, DeSantis 62% extremely or Very Excited, Haley, only 39% extremely/very excited, 61% are only MILDLY OR NOT enthusiastic at all. WOW!!!!!!!!
Trump
49% Extremely enthusiastic
39% Very enthusiastic
11% Mildly enthusiastic
0% Not that enthusiastic
Haley
9% Extremely enthusiastic
30% Very enthusiastic
49% Mildly enthusiastic
12% Not that enthusiastic
DeSantis
23% Extremely enthusiastic
39% Very enthusiastic
33% Mildly enthusiastic
1% Not that enthusiastic
Vic – You know we are also long past the premise that the best 2 candidates are only white males. I don’t care if the best 2 Republican candidates are a black Jewish lesbian and a Korean-American Muslim in a wheel-chair. Just win, damn it.
The only way Trump could lose if it was a one on one early in the primary season, I thought with his legal issues he would get the Bernie Sanders treatment of sorts. It looks like I might be wrong.
Bitter – I think you misunderstood what I meant. I meant exactly what you said. I prefer the best person for the job.
Out of this field I would prefer that Desantis were the VP. I think he would be far and away the best choice to step into the role of President if something happened to Trump.
What I said is that it would never happen because you will never see two white makes making up a ticket again.
For me I don’t care what someone’s background is, ethnicity, gender, orientation. Just be the best person for the job
I hope that clarifies things, though I honestly thought I’d said that with “ We are long past the premise that the best person for the job should get the job”. But I guess not
Jeff. I do not think it’s Noem. She doesn’t add enough to the ticket and I believe Trump knows that. What voter, who isn’t already voting for Trump, does Noem bring to the table
Just as an early morning comment, I don’t think there’s a snowball chance in hades that Trump would chose Haley as VP, no matter how well she does in the upcoming primaries. Nobody likes her but her wealthy donors and those who have nothing on their mind but giving more money to Ukraine.
Jan – That’s absolutely untrue. The Republican party is made up of more than just the Trump supporters. There are a lot of suburban folks who were once staples of the Republican party who like Haley. You forget, she was a Tea Party darling when she came from fourth place in the primaries to win the Gov of SC race.
There are still a lot of Republicans whose first priority is the military and supporting them, no matter what the Pauliac wing tries to push on the party (cowards all of them). There are a lot of voting Republicans who value foreign policy, much like Reagan did (in fact Foreign policy was one of his, and Nixon’s greatest strengths).
While I don’t agree with her statements on BLM, and some other topics, overall, a good number of her policies are very Conservative. She’s intelligent, knows how to lead a government (being Gov of a state), and is better than most of the candidates that were in the field.
This idea that only the “wealthy donors” and people who care about giving money to Ukraine like her is absurd. If she somehow got the nomination and won, she would be a better President than Biden, or anyone a Dem would nominate.
I am not defending her, but we have to be realistic. We have to govern. This is a country of 300M+ people, and whomever is the President, is the President of all America, and has to govern that way.
They need to govern as a fiscal conservative, while also realizing a complete destruction of the federal government would lead to chaos. They have to govern as a social conservative, while understanding its harder and harder to do when so much of the country is morally bankrupt.
Vic, my post about Haley has nothing to do with who I support. I’ve watched her for years, liked her performance in the UN, but have seen her morph into someone looking out more for her career than the people. From the comments Trump has made about her I don’t see him picking Haley as there are too many differences between them, and a lack of trust as well.
The End of the USA is in sight. No other country in the world would allow this insanity. If people don’t stand up and SAY NO to this… The invasion of over 8 million people in the last 3 years will be a droplet compared with the 80 million that WILL COME if this Bill becomes Law! https://t.co/0FDVm4Z1dV

Spotted something in the Selzer Iowa poll.
This doesn’t make sense.
I will wait for the voting to begin.

Just as an early morning comment, I don’t think there’s a snowball chance in hades that Trump would chose Haley as VP, no matter how well she does in the upcoming primaries. Nobody likes her but her wealthy donors and those who have nothing on their mind but giving more money to Ukraine.
LikeLike
