KJP says border control negotiations in Senate are successful.

‘And so we’re going to have those conversations — and you’re right, it’s not just about funding, it’s also about policy discussions that they’re having and so don’t want to get ahead of it. And let’s not forget this is the President that has had these types of negotiations or been part of these types of his team certainly has been part of these types of negotiation, negotiations for some in different obviously in different in different subjects and legislation.

So that has happened for for the last two, two, almost three years and they’ve been successful.”

Evidently the police in Prague almost prevented the mass shooting there. After the gunman killed his own father in a neighboring town police were notified he was headed to Prague to kill more people. The police sent a rapid response team to the university arts building where he had a class but instead the gunman went to another building to start shooting.

  6. From the article:

Nearly 7 in 10 voters, or 69%, believe that politics “has played” a role in the four indictments against Trump, according to a new survey shared with Secrets.

What’s more, 58% believe that Biden has played a role in delivering those indictments, including one-third of Democrats, 54% of black people, and 58% of Hispanics. And 56% want the Justice Department to “stop targeting Donald Trump and interfering with the upcoming presidential election and Biden should let the voters decide who the next president should be,” the survey said.

Putin Stooges Janzam and Tina hardest hit.

“NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that he believes Russia “has lost Ukraine forever” as a result of the war, and will not be able to achieve its war aims despite a massive military effort since the invasion in February last year.

“The whole purpose of this invasion was to prevent Ukraine from moving towards NATO and the European Union. Ukraine is now closer to NATO and the European Union than ever before,” he told dpa in an interview shortly before Christmas. “This is a big strategic defeat for Russia.”

“President Putin has lost Ukraine forever,” said Stoltenberg, referring to the fact that Russia saw Ukraine as part of its sphere of influence for decades.

The former Norwegian prime minister is certain that Ukraine will eventually achieve its goal of joining NATO.

He also pointed out that Russia was paying an enormously high price for its war.

“Russia has lost hundreds of planes, thousands of battle tanks, and 300,000 casualties. Their economy is weaker. They are politically more isolated,” he said.

“Inflation is up, living standards are down,” he said.”

I don’t disagree jason, I am just trying to see it from the perspective of what the media will do with it. Here would be the NBC nightly news coverage:

“Tonight our coverage begins at the Supreme Court, where a nine to zero decision has embarrassed Republicans who tried to take away the voting rights of millions by removing Biden from the 2024 ballot. NBC’s Andrea Mitchell is standing outside the court building. Andrea? Yes, the high court as ruled against Republicans who apparently felt that President Biden could not be beaten in a fair election, and so they tried to get him removed from the ballot in many states, in a clear act of desperation.”

On and on they will go, and make no mention that it was the judges in CO who started it.

  30. Phil – they don’t even call them immigrants without papers anymore, its simply “migrants.” That’s all. And, if you heard the Mayor of Chicago yesterday, we are the ones who are causing the problems. They are just migrants seeking refuge…That’s their latest ploy. That all the illegals flooding into the countries are refugees escaping conflict and hardship, though that now includes, “economic conflict and/or hardship.

Let’s realize the ploy here. They are using this “migrants” to follow the California plan. Look at the 1976 election (and carried through the 1984 election) the entire west was red…but beginning in the mid 80’s liberal californians began fleeing to Seattle and Portland (some for tech work, some for jobs) and started influencing politics there. By 1988 WA and OR were gone. By 1992 you started to see it migrate to NM, then AZ, CO, NV and soon, all the Liberal Californians, who didn’t like the effect of their policies on their pocketbook, left, and took their liberal politics with them

Combine that with the open borders in the 90’s to entice Latinos/Hispanics, etc to come there illegal, with the eventual goal to get them the right to vote, or their children, and boom, now we have them gone, and are on the border of AZ being permanently gone. Next in their sites is Texas. They figure if they can get enough illegals here, then they can win texas and its over. Completely over. It will be a uniparty country.

“We are joining forces to introduce legislation to REMOVE Joe Biden from the ballot in Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. The absurdity of radical Democrat judges removing Donald Trump from the ballot in Colorado will be a stain on the American political system for decades. By their very own interpretation of the law, Joe Biden is 100% not eligible to run for political office. Democrats’ insane justification to remove Trump can just as easily be applied to Joe Biden for his ‘insurrection’ at the southern border and his alleged corrupt family business dealings with China. Colorado radicals just changed the game and we are not going to sit quietly while they destroy our Republic. To be clear, our objective is to showcase the absurdity of Colorado’s decision and allow ALL candidates to be on the ballot in all states.”

In the last sentence it is clear they are saying EVERYONE should be on the ballot.

There were many Confederates elected after the Civil War. In fact the 14th amendment allowed for that to happen.

In any case, I am one of the most pro-Union anti Confederacy posters here, but I don’t agree with Bitter. It should have been up to voters and barring Confederates from running for office was a bad idea. It should have been up to the voters to decide whether they deserved elective office or not. Jefferson Davis could have been elected President in my view if he had the votes.

As for Walt. I don’t know if swearing allegiance to Alexander the Great disqualified him from office in the US.

I hear there was a committee formed by the WV legislature to look into it, but I think they decided that “Walt was entitled to admire some dude name Alexander who thought he was great” if he wanted, America is a free country.

Jack Smith’s DC case against Trump is imploding–and with it, so too is the classified documents case.

SCOTUS denying cert today is just the latest blow–March 4 trial date is not doable. Oral arguments at DC appellate court set for Jan 9. Even if they return a quick opinion that upholds denial of presidential immunity from prosecution, Trump’s team will file cert petition at SCOTUS. But term ends in June and time is running out.

This is in addition to SCOTUS granting cert in 1512c2 matter–which represents half of Smith’s DC indictment against Trump. Those oral arguments could be held in March or April. Legal observers will get a sense of which direction the court will take during that proceeding.

If it appears a majority of the court disagrees with DOJ’s application/interpretation of 1512c2, it’s doom for Smith.

Now for classified docs case. Judge Cannon, skeptical of Smith’s assurances the DC trial would not overlap with May 20 trial in FLA, set a status hearing for March 1. In addition, she also suspended all pretrial deadlines in a very litigious matter (strict rules related to defendants’ access to classified evidence).

So what does Smith do now? His hands are tied until immunity issue is resolved. What does he tell Judge Cannon? Will he forsake a very risky case in DC and move to proceed first on classified docs trial? Cannon won’t let him push that very far, either.

No good options for Smith–which is very good news.

Unfortunately, we have gotten to a point where Biden could hold a press conference and say, “I ordered Democrat DAs and the Justice Department to make up BS charges against Trump because I am a senile old man who needs to win” and he would retain almost all of his voters from 2020. Trump could say, “Of course I ordered an insurrection. I think I shared with you long ago that I had direct ancestors who fought for the north in the civil war and others who fought for the south in the civil war. And one for actually was pressed into service for the north and later pressed into service for the south.

Since I lived in Virginia at the time, I would have fought on the side of the south.

Although, it should be pointed out that this county of what was then VA raised (I think) something like 7 companies that fought for the south (including one that was in the Stonewall Brigade) and 4 or 5 companies that fought for the north.
