Watching what the Colorado Supreme Court did yesterday was disgusting. It’s not about Colorado. It goes way beyond that….and it goes way beyond Trump. Colorado was a Democratic lock in the next election and Trump will be long gone after this next presidential cycle.
Nope. The damage is long term to the republic. Horrible precedent. Obvious intended as election interference at the very least. More than that it provides a road map for Democratic dominated state Supreme Courts to remove a major political party candidate from the ballots in swing states – Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan come to mind right off the bat.
We are now entering a dangerous phase where voters are taken out of the equation. Someone explain to me how this is supposed to “save democracy” when in fact it does the exact opposite.
Iran does this when they disqualify dozens of candidates before every election. Kind of says it all right there.

He could not bring himself to move AZ and GA from Tossup to Lean R, despite Trump leading in the last 14 polls of AZ, by as much as 10 points and an average of 6 in the most recent polls. And its the same in GA, Trump has led in every poll of GA and an average of about six points in recent polls. If THAT isn’t Lean R, I don’t know what it could possibly mean.
Then Cook continues to say that Virginia is “Safe D” even though Biden’s lead in the polling is less than Trump’s lead in GA polling.

The Colorado Supreme Court has handed down the most anti-democratic opinion in decades. Yet, these justices barred voters from being to vote for their preferred candidate in the name of democracy. It is like burning down a house in the name of fire safety.

Biden Backs Colorado Supreme Court Removing Trump From Ballot
Doesn’t sound to me like he is planning to drop out soon. He will drop out after the primaries are largely over. Probably in May or at the latest June. This way he gets to pick his successor who receives his delegates, and keep the voters out of the loop.
And so Biden OPPOSES Trump being on the ballot, and he OPPOSES Democrat voters from picking the Dem candidate, all this by the head of the DEMOCRATIC party.
Phil, its Quinnipiac. The same clowns who said in 2020 that Trump would lose Florida 42/47, Georgia 44/51, and Ohio 43/47. And they had Trump holding South Carolina only 48/47. Trump won SC 55/43.
DeSantis: Could We Just Say Biden Can’t Be On The Ballot Because He Let 8 Million Illegals Into The Country?
Excellent point. Which has done more damage, a bunch of protesters rummaging around in the Capitol for a few hours, or 8 million illegals bringing their drugs, crime, and dependence on our healthcare facilities?
Good point, DW. I looked at the internals of the Quinn poll and specifically was looking for Party ID breakdown and the numbers with indies and they weren’t there…..but yeah, their state polls in 2020 were horrible.
That’s a trash poll from Q: There is no way that the same sample that gave Trump 38% when polling a five-candidate race with Trump, Biden, RFK and two others would give Trump only 36% when polling a three-candidate race with Trump, Biden and RFK. How could his support drop by 2% when there were two *fewer* candidates as options? Either they used two separate samples, or they just made up the numbers.
But, in any event, if Biden really beats Trump by only 1% in the national popular vote, it will almost certainly result in a resounding 309-229 Electoral College victory for Trump.

The Woke Commie Dems are over playing their hand once again. I think this just helps Trump and nullifies any blowback he might get from any convictions in the DC or Fulton County indictments. I would hope the CO SC will be overturned immediately.
Strong language from Dershowtitz. Worst decision ever. The SCOTUS should throw this out immediately and reprimand the judges who issued this horrific decision.
The absurdity of this CO ruling is absolutely astounding. No court has found Trump guilty of insurrection. But they ruled that he should be taken off the ballot, just in case he is found guilty.
So with this precedent, you could have your voting rights stripped away, just because you might commit a felony and be convicted of it before election day.

ROY: Pretty much everybody, in the conservative world, who understands what we do in Washington, knows that I’m a conservative with a strong record.
I have voted against Biden more than virtually everybody, member of Congress. I have a strong conservative 100 percent score from Conservative Review. 98 percent from Heritage Action, pro-life community, I can go down the list. But it kind of doesn’t matter. It misses the point.
The point is, this is about, we don’t — we don’t have princes in this country. We pursue principles, right? That’s what we’re supposed to be about. We don’t anoint the people, right? We don’t coronate people. I’ve been saying this on Fox, Newsmax, CNN.
Because you know what? I’m in Iowa, where there are people here, who they take very seriously, the job of choosing who the President will be, through the caucus process. And I was just at multiple events, with Ron DeSantis, where he’s shaking their hands, and looking them in the eye, while Donald Trump hangs out, in his basement, in Florida, afraid to actually debate. What’s he afraid of?
Look, I’m happy to debate him if he wants to anywhere. I’m just a little old congressman. Why won’t he debate Ron DeSantis, or any of the other candidates? I think he should.”

The only good news is that this flawed theory can now be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court where it is likely to be put to rest conclusively.
For many voters, however, the opinion will only reinforce Trump’s claims that Democrats are engaging in “lawfare” to achieve in the courts what they cannot achieve in the polls. Because of that, the opinion could not come at a worse moment. Trump is surging in opinion polls, and many Democrats are now openly saying they fear President Biden is about to be beaten in 2024. Not only is Trump beating Biden in many polls but he has a sizable lead among young voters.
For those voters, the Colorado ruling looks like a case of Biden being on the ropes when the referee just called the bout in his favor. Even if, as expected, these justices are reversed by the U.S. Supreme Court, many Americans will not forget what they will consider to be an effort to take away their vote. While these four justices offered their “first impression” in this dangerous opinion, the lasting impression of many voters is not likely to be good for the court or for Democrats.
In reaching this decision, these four justices admitted that “we travel in uncharted territory.” Sometimes that cannot be avoided, but in this case the Colorado Supreme Court steered off the constitutional map.
Biden: “I come from a state that has the eighth-largest Black population in the country, and as they say the saying goes where I come, you brung me to the dance early on!”
“In a 4-3 decision, the Colorado Supreme Court will require Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips must bake a celebration cake honoring the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove Trump from the ballot.
“The cake must have the words ‘Dump Trump’ in giant red letters,” said Justice Richard Gabriel in his opinion. “No wait — have it say DRUMPF! HA! Classic. And put some little rainbow flags and Palestinian flags all over it. It is the opinion of the court that failure to bake this cake for us constitutes illegal discrimination.”
Basically the goblin broke the law by appointing stoner.
Court filings coming fast and furious this week but this is a stunner.

The immunity issue and the theory that Jack Smith should “not have been appointed” are separate and I doubt SCOTUS will conflate the two. It is not how it works.
Well, I am a lawyer and SCOTUS only decides the specific issue before it. It does not say, “Hey, this looks interesting!” Of course, Tina attended Gateway Pundit law school so who knows?
Biden’s job approval has been inching up. Appears the media campaign that the economy is booming must be working to an extent. People must think that they are just shopping at the wrong stores, the ones where the prices are doubled. All they need to do is find the right stores where the prices are not doubled, and they too can enjoy the booming economy.
And so now if anyone on the right tells the truth about the bad economy, they will be charged with trying to talk down the economy during an election year.
The puppet masters won’t allow Biden to stay in the race unless 1) Smith is able to fast track his trial to get Trump convicted prior to the November election and 2) He actually gets his conviction in the DC venue. If that happens and that drops Trump in the polls, then Biden will be allowed to stay on the ballot. If not, Biden is gone.
This is really pretty simple. It’s the reason Smith is pulling out all the stops to get this trial over prior to the fall. That’s the stumbling block. The conviction by a DC jury is a foregone conclusion. The scheduling is their biggest roadblock and Smith working with the Trump hating judge are doing everything in their power to fast track what is normally a year and a half to two year scheduling process into six months.
“Biden: “I come from a state that has the eighth-largest Black population in the country, and as they say the saying goes where I come, you brung me to the dance early on!”
Delaware has about 200k blacks….”
Jason, what Biden meant to say (but couldn’t say because of his stupidity/senility) is that, according to the 2020 Census, Delaware is eighth among *U.S. states* (i.e., excluding the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia) in black *percentage of the population*. The “black alone” population in Delaware (which excludes people who identified as multi-racial even if they listed “black” as one of their races) is 22.11%, which, as you will see below, is eighth among U.S. states. The top 12, by percentage (with the total “black alone” population in parentheses):
If he is illegally appointed, he has no standing. Read the last paragraph of the amici (last page)”
Zzzzzz…..he has standing. He is the SC, whether “illegally appointed” or not and SCOTUS already accepted to rule on his motion, so you can assume they agree he has standing.
SCOTUS is not going to rule on whether he has standing. You read it here first.
Maybe, but the standing issue is irrelevant to this motion. SCOTUS will either rule favorably or unfavorably on his motion to fast track but they are not going to rule on standing.
The standing argument will have to be litigated another day.
“Disqualifying a candidate based on an accusation, albeit one blessed by a state court judge as in the Colorado case — but not an actual conviction — is dangerous. What’s to stop a Republican politician from seeking to bar his Democratic opponent because the opponent attended Black Lives Matter protests, claiming that those protests, some of them nominally in service of abolishing the police, qualify as insurrection?”

I need some help. I’ve been reading the opening pages of SC Smith’s reply on the issue of whether SCOTUS should accept Cert prior to Judgment.
I have now searched the Constitution and all the Amendments for the phrase “public’s Interest in a prompt resolution” of criminal cases.
I find the phrase “representation of counsel” and I know the case law says that means “effective” representation.
But nowhere can I find “public’s interest” or “promote resolution” with regard to criminal cases.
Can someone help me out?

That gives the sc a reason to deny smith outright”
Won’t happen. SCOTUS accepted to rule on the motion brought forth by the SC. That is what they will do. If they deny the motion to fast track it won’t be due to “standing”.
The issue of whether Smith is legitimately appointed or not is not going to be a factor in the decision. Bet on it.
The best reason to deny the motion is that there is no reason to “fast track” beyond politics. The only reason Smith wants a trial before the election is to try to deny Trump the Presidency. That is not a valid reason and SCOTUS should tell him to pound sand for that reason.
The NY Post is out with my column on the next stage for the disqualification of Donald Trump before the U.S. Supreme Court. It may be the greatest challenge yet for Chief Justice John Roberts. The Colorado decision should be unanimously overturned. https://t.co/xmd53kNvTu

They have both now been wishing that I die.”
Nah. The right wanted you to lose.
The left DOES want you dead because they want 100% compliance with the agenda, not 95%.

The Ukrainians went back to fight? But Jan told us they were all kidnapped by Zelensky and forced to fight against their will armed only with staplers and sticks.
The whole war was fought because the globohomos wouldn’t commit to not allowing Ukraine to join, but it’s been a long held conservative viewpoint that we need to defund NATO as soon as possible so none of it ever made sense.
I think they’ve achieved 500,000 dead and a lot of money for the Bidens so far.
Saying “Gender Is Binary and Cannot Be Changed” Got an Award-Winning California Teacher Fired
And yet the teacher was absolutely correct. No surgeon has ever turned a man into a functioning woman who menstruates, got pregnant, and carried a baby to full term and delivered the child, and nursed it. No surgeon has ever turned a woman into a functioning man who ejaculated semen into a woman, fathering her fertilized her egg. These are irrefutable facts. The left want to FORCE you to repeat their lies.
Gender cannot be changed. All that can be done is the mutilation of genitals so the person will not reproduce. When this is done to impressionable children, it is evil.
Great idea. Make the Russians pay for the weapons to Ukraine.
“The Biden administration is quietly signaling new support for seizing more than $300 billion in Russian central bank assets stashed in Western nations and has begun urgent discussions with allies about using the funds to aid Ukraine’s war effort at a moment when financial support is waning, according to senior American and European officials.”
John Nichols of the “The Nation” is too stupid to realize he shot down his own argument.
“The US Supreme Court has a conservative majority appointed by Republican presidents, unlike the Colorado high court where the justices were appointed by Democratic governors. That bodes ill for judicial accountability.”
Former Reagan AG Edwin Meese Claims in Legal Filing: Jack Smith Has “No More Authority to Represent US in Supreme Court than Bryce Harper, Taylor Swift, or Jeff Bezos”
Reading a book about an unsolved murder in Haiti in 1872.
Authorities arrested a guy named Henri Jacque Navidad for the crime.
But many witnesses say he was not the murderer.
But Natividad languished in jail all through the summer, then the fall and when it was nearing Christmas time, a large segment of the populace of Port au Prince decided to march on the jail. Thousands jammed the streets and marched toward the jail singing “release Navidad, release Navidad”.
Former Reagan AG Edwin Meese Claims in Legal Filing: Jack Smith Has “No More Authority to Represent US in Supreme Court than Bryce Harper, Taylor Swift, or Jeff Bezos”
Zzzzzzzzz… interesting argument.
However, it will have zero bearing on the Smith’s motion. You read it first here. And Trump’s lawyers will not even bring it up, not that it would make any difference if they did.

And so Biden OPPOSES Trump being on the ballot, and he OPPOSES Democrat voters from picking the Dem candidate, all this by the head of the DEMOCRATIC party.

Pretty obvious to everyone what is going on here.

37.94% Mississippi (1,084,481)
33.13% Louisiana (1,564,023)
33.03% Georgia (3,538,146)
32.01% Maryland (2,220,472)
29.80% Alabama (1,696,162)
27.09% South Carolina (1,680,531)
23.50% North Carolina (2,350,217)
22.11% Delaware (218,899)
21.60% Virginia (1,607,581)
19.80% Tennessee (1,492,948)
17.11% Florida (3,703,952)

Won’t happen. SCOTUS accepted to rule on the motion brought forth by the SC. That is what they will do. If they deny the motion to fast track it won’t be due to “standing”.
The issue of whether Smith is legitimately appointed or not is not going to be a factor in the decision. Bet on it.
The best reason to deny the motion is that there is no reason to “fast track” beyond politics. The only reason Smith wants a trial before the election is to try to deny Trump the Presidency. That is not a valid reason and SCOTUS should tell him to pound sand for that reason.
