Why would Putin fear Trump when Trump clearly had no understanding of the situation. His “end the war in 24 hours” proves Trump is clueless on this war. It actually would have been worse for Ukraine because Trump would not have sent military aid when the invasion began.

I’m not exactly sure how to precisely connect the dots, but there is something to the fact that the Court re-listed the Fischer case for its next Conference on Jan. 8, but then issued it’s order taking the case today instead.
I don’t think it was coincidental that the Court is considering taking the immunity issue as well.
There is a connection between the two.

Recall my glee here a few weeks ago when Stein announced for the Green Party. At the time I said to draw a circle around WISCONSIN due to the absolute lunatic white liberals that infest Madison, WI.
Bloomberg/Morning Insult also released state numbers with all the candidates. Notice the difference on Wisconsin:
Just Trump vs. Biden:
Trump 45
Biden 41
All of them:
Trump 40
Biden 34
Kennedy 10
Stein 3 <— Thank you, whacky way-out white liberals for doing your part to save the USA!

We will have to agree to disagree on this one, bitter. There was no invasion of Ukraine while Trump was President nor was there even any Russian border buildup. Coincidence? I can’t buy that. Trump was just unpredictable enough to give Putin pause. The Russian buildup on the Ukranian borders didn’t happen until AFTER Biden’s disastrous cut and run in Afghanistan. Dictators can smell weakness. That’s been true throughout history. In the case of Biden is was stronger than just a whiff of weakness. It was an obvious and impossible to miss stench.
Putin also did not order the invasion of Bermuda, India or Belize during Trump’s term. Does Trump get credit for that? I hate to give credit to Biden for anything but sending military aid to Ukraine was the right call.

Yeah, Phil, put me on the side Putin would not have invaded Ukraine with Trump as President. No way in hell.
He would have saber rattled, put troops on the border, and gotten bought off by Trump with some economic concessions. Not that he would have given up on the idea, just waited for a more favorable moment (i.e. Joe Biden).
And btw had Putin invaded Ukraine after Trump told him not too (highly unlikely), Trump would have sent Ukraine the same aid Biden has. Bet on it.
There is no way Trump would have accepted annexation of Ukraine on his watch. Which is why I take his position on Ukraine now with a grain of salt too. Once in power, he will try to negotiate a deal that freezes the Russian gains, bad enough, but he is not letting Putin get what he really wants, the annexation of all of Ukraine and all its resources and the installation o a Russian puppet government.
Bermuda? Belize? India? I wasn’t aware that any of them were bordering Russia or that Putin had any beef with those countries. Come on, bitter. Don’t be silly. Apples and oranges. You know that. He didn’t invade Canada either proving what exactly?
Bermuda? Belize? India? I wasn’t aware that any of them were bordering Russia or that Putin had any beef with those countries.”
LOL
Bitter’s analogy is stupid.
The difference for Putin was that with Trump he could not know for certain what the response would be and he would not risk the invasion. Trump would have taken a must more proactive stance when Putin was mobilizing.
AOC: There Is Not A Single Witness To Allegations Against Hunter Biden, “This Is Just Storytelling At This Point”
Is there a more stupid person on the planet? This one is right up there Sheila Jackson Lee asking if the Mars rover could be moved over to where our astronauts left the flag. Or Hank Johnson and his brilliant rebuttal of the military leaders, warning them that too much weight added to Guam could make it flip over.
Phil gets the metal for the most logical post, dealing with how Putin didn’t make a move towards building up troops on Ukraine’s border until the failed Afghanistan withdrawal showed what a weak leader Biden was – an absolute corrupt pushover!
DW, the Dems are grasping at straw arguments, in their attempts to distract from the available evidence so far against Biden and his family. Whistleblowers, bank records, multiple SARS – nothing to see here assert the Dems!
Apparently, the pushover developed some guts on one issue. There are many dead and wounded Russian troops and sailors as well as shattered equipment and ships because of it.
Update on battleground state polling thus far. Since Sept 1, here are the totals per state, Polls where Trump led, Biden led, or where a tie was reported:
AZ: Trump 11, Biden 0, Tie 1
FL: Trump 6, Biden 0, Tie 0
GA: Trump 14, Biden 0, Tie 0
IA: Trump 4, Biden 0, Tie 0
MI: Trump 6, Biden 5, Tie 3
NC: Trump 7, Biden 1, Tie 0
NV: Trump 4, Biden 3, Tie 1
OH: Trump 6, Biden 0, Tie 0
PA: Trump 10, Biden 5, Tie 0
WI: Trump 5, Biden 5, Tie 1
Interesting take on Rudolph the red nosed reindeer heard on local radio, One host said Rudolph is celebrated for just doing his job. The other reindeer pulled the sleigh without fanfare. Other host said Rudolph should have told Santa to get lost because Santa never had his back when the other reindeer made his life hell. Rudolph should have moved to the Island of Misfit Toys and started a new life.
Putin obviously also did not know what Biden’s response would be, either.”
Nah, he knew. He knew the US and Europe would send arms to Ukraine if the war wasn’t decided quickly. Where he made is mistake is not knowing what Zelensky’s and the Ukrainian people’s response would be.
Two key mistakes.
1) He believed whatever general told him “we take the airfield near Kiev, fly in 20,000 elite troops, take the city, decapitate the leadership, install a puppet, 24 hours, done”.
2) He believed whatever intelligence told him the “Ukranians will welcome us with flowers, not bullets, the resistance will collapse quickly”
These polls are horrible for Biden…….which is just more confirmation of what I have said for months now. BIDEN AIN’T RUNNING AGAIN. Anyone think the Democrats who make obtaining and holding onto power their #1 goal think they are running this guy again? Anyone? The only question is when and how they drop him.
Part of it may be that they are waiting to see what a DC conviction does to Trump’s poll numbers. If the felony conviction (a certainty in the DC venue) takes place, Biden may be permitted to stay on the ticket IF, and only IF, the conviction moves the poll numbers in Biden’s favor. That would be Joe’s only salvation – otherwise, he’s GONE.
Phil, the dems are going to let Biden go through the primary process, simply because it is too late and too risky to pull him now. Iowa is three weeks away, and Dems don’t want to leave to the chance of their voters to mess it up.
So Biden will go through, get all the delegates, then one day he will shuffle out to read his teleprompter, maybe under the aid of a walker, and announce that he cannot do it, and that his delegates will be released to [insert name of communist who does the best in focus groups and internal polling]
RFK, in a recent interview, also predicted Biden would remain in the race until the dem convention. Then he would give his super delegates to someone like Newson.
Before my time…when Dave gave speeches…hard to believe that was almost 20 years ago
Now What Do I Do?
Thursday, November 4th, 2004
So what will happen to this website.
When I first started this site, I did it mostly as a hobby. It was a way to write my thoughts down publicly and I figured it would be intersting to see how my opinion changed over time. Then I started to keep track of the polls and that is when the site really took off trafficwise. At first, it was just a way for me to keep track on the progression of the race and thought it would be cool to go back after the election and see how the race changed over time. For instance, here is what I posted in early January when it appeared Howard Dean was running away with the Democratic nomination just after a new poll came out in NH.
Not that Kerry isn’t already toast, but can you imagine how embarassing it will be when he falls below Clark in NH. At this rate, it should happen by Monday of next week.
Oops. Not only did he win the Democratic nomination, he came pretty darn close to winning the presidency as well.
As far as this website is concerned, I won’t be going anywhere. While my posting will be somewhat less frequent than the 15-a-day posting I reached in the past two months, I still plan on this being a daily site. I will still comment on national politics but I will also shift more to Maryland politics, which is what I had originally planned for this site. Except for the US Senate race (which was a blowout) and the Congressional races (which were all blowouts), elections during Presidential years are not the biggest thing in Maryland. Off-years, like the upcoming 2006, will have many more competitive elections in maryland. The biggest will obviously be ther Governor’s race between Governor Bob Ehrlich and probable Democratic nominee and current Baltimore mayor Martin O’Malley. But there will also be hotly contested races for the Maryland General Assembly as well as at the Howard County level.
Finally, I appreciate all of your thank yous that you have sent me by email or left in the comments. Again, this is a hobby for me and while the amount of work that I put into it, especially in the last two months, took some time,it was also a lot of fun to do. I am glad you enjoyed my site site and let me also thank everyone else for the many comments you leave on the site. There were times when I actually was just sitting at the computer and refreshing the comments over and over again reading the back and forth between many of the regulars. While it did get testy once in a while and there was a smattering of trolls that would get on some people’s nerves, the quality of the comments usually remained high from people on both the left and the right. I hope everyone feels that I didn’t stifle commentary from either side with my occasional banning of people. I tried my best to remove some of people who were only interested in using inflammatory language and personal attacks or baiting other people, but for the most part I tried to let everyone speak their mind without any censorship. I hope everyone felt that way. While I am a Republican, I don’t mind having people from both sides making comments.
With that long-winded rant, now back to normal blogging.”

All of these people. I think I will try to make a master list!!! This is really blowing my mind. I miss a lot of these times.
Ok…so word from inside has it that illness might be the “cause” of pulling the nomination. I don’t know if anyone noticed today an article about how Biden wasn’t feeling well. If polling continues this way, you will see that there will be more and more health stories come out, with finally…after Trump secures the nomination, boom.
The biggest problem is the replacement. If it is not Harris, there will be a massive roar from her supporters, who basically got Biden elected, and they may ditch the new candidate (whomever…cough Whitmer, cough Whitmer…who they think is more strategic than Newsome in the Blue Wall)…

Joe Biden).

Yup let’s give “credit” to demented. Ignore him authorizing an incursion by Russia. Ignore everything posted by Phil.

Zzzzzzz…..he didn’t “authorize” sh-t.
The responsibility for invading Ukraine and all the subsequent war crimes belong to Putin 100%.
Not to anyone else.
Putin has had the dream of a “Greater Russia” for decades. Nothing to do with Biden.
No, he would not have invaded with Trump as President, but that is just an issue of timing not intent.
The idea that Biden somehow convinced Putin to invade is idiotic.

LOL
Bitter’s analogy is stupid.
The difference for Putin was that with Trump he could not know for certain what the response would be and he would not risk the invasion. Trump would have taken a must more proactive stance when Putin was mobilizing.

If it is not Harris, there will be a massive roar from her supporters, who basically got Biden elected, and they may ditch the new candidate (whomever…cough Whitmer, cough Whitmer…who they think is more strategic than Newsome in the Blue Wall)…
let’s see how this plays out
