Seems like in order for Stoner to charge, Biden had to “strip trump” of his ability to have classification authority. I don’t think demented has that ability, as a former president keeps that “power” in perpetuity. Since the PRA, FPA, and PTA grant former President Trump perpetual access, control and lawful possession of Presidential records from his administration – after his term ended – he can’t be prosecuted under 793(e) – regardless of whether he declassified the documents before his term ended or not. Declassification is a red herring. President Trump had lawful possession regardless. (As for control, the PRA has multiple provisions giving former Presidents control over access to their Presidential records after their term ends.). Ownership does not constitute control of the records, Archives owns them, but the ex president controls them.
The citations charged by stoner are not applicable as there is a pre-requisite to charge. Stoner charged improperly.
It appears that Biden did not want trump to have his copy of the Russian hoax documents. Thus, he re classified those documents and stripped trump of his ability to have classification authority.
These and other issues are acknowledged by the judge and will be the reason why the trial is “delayed.”

Bitter is correct, Trump has no “miracle plan” to end the war, his plan is to force Ukraine to give up sovereign territory, which is a horrible mistake.
All that would do is encourage Russia to invade more countries and continue to commit more war crimes.
The only way to discourage Russia from further expansionist moves is for them to be defeated in Ukraine.

And 2020 was an extremely close election, decided by a statistically insignificant 42k votes in 3 states, even accounting for fraud.
So there is nothing to say Trump could not get the same support he did in 2020, which would make him competitive.
It doesn’t mean I think he should be the nominee. He shouldn’t. We have a a candidate who is actually a conservative, more competent, younger, with less baggage in the Golden Calf.

The Election Administrator Meagan Wolfe who is currently illegally occupying the office has therefore been using MyVote to illegally solicit absentee vote applications knowing very well they didn’t have the authority to do so.
The authority and duty to send and receive absentee ballots applications is the sole responsibility of the clerks and voters, not the Election Commission. According to Wisconsin law, all six mandatory methods for voters to request absentee ballot applications and to return their completed absentee ballot applications are conducted only by local clerks.
This is yet more proof that Wisconsin elections are rigged.

A salute to today being Veteran’s Day. My parents were married on V Day. My, dad, father-in-law, husband, Godson all were part of the military, serving in different capacities, military services, and times. Their focus and energies were directed at defending this country, a dedication waning today as our attention drifts away from protecting the borders of the U.S. to sending resources abroad. In fact as recruitment for our armed services falls below normal, our voluntary military may have to evolve into reinstalling the draft again. Maybe this is inevitable. After all, being our government is so embedded in Ukraine’s war with Russia, why not resort to conscription practices like Ukraine, even upping the joining age to the mid-forties mirroring Ukraine’s fighting force.

Jan – How many German or Austrian troops in WWI, German/Italian/Japanese troops in WW2, North Vietnamese/Viet Cong troops during Vietnam, or Iraqi troops invaded the U.S. like Russia invaded Ukraine? Attu and Kiska in the Aleutians and Pearl Harbor were tiny compared to Ukraine. Every Ukrainian soldier and civilian death is 100% due to Putin’s invasion.

Yes historically the SEC team boosters have been paying players and they always seemed to get away with it. NCAA has ruined college sports with big money TV and now NIL payments for players. It’s not the same. The conferences are being decimated all because of money. I used to love college basketball but now the great players either can skip college or play one year and they go to the NBA. Now I hardly pay attention unless Michigan is in the NCAA tournament. Michigan has been pretty clean over the years. The basketball Fab Five team back in the early nineties got involved with a booster giving under the table payments and were caught and punished. My daughter and I went to several UM softball games and had a blast. The school has been a big part of my life.

LOL. I try not to read Russian news. Putin is not getting any aid from us either, only sanctions that don’t seem to be working too well. Zelenskyy, OTOH, is always trying to be relevant, grabbing whatever money or headlines are available for the taking. So, he and his cronies are always in your face creating sympathetic commentaries about themselves. The only way anyone is going to know how well-liked Zelenskyy and his policies are, by the Ukrainian people, is having elections, which he is conveniently quashing. That act in itself should objectively raise red flags about what his real intentions are. Obviously, you have discarded any facsimile of objectivity, and instead just toss Putin rhetoric around, as a diversionary tactic, so you never have to question anything outside of your own narrative box – reminds me of the news deployment of our main stream media.

There is no moral equivalency when a country invades another sovereign nation and bombs the hell out of it without just cause.
Israel is eradicating terrorists Hamas from Palestine… not invading to possess their land or influence further governance. October 7th…This is a clear example of just cause.
My main issue has been the tepid approach the west has taken toward Putins aggression for years and their lack of equipping the Ukraine military long before the invasion. They tried on multiple occasions to appease Putin in various ways…Merkel, David Cameron from the UK, Obama, and even Trump led the way. The WEF even got involved in inviting Putin to be a keynote speaker. If anything this has caused a more unstable situation and potential escalation. I would watch the BBC series on The West and Putin.
This doesn’t mean as an alliance of country you cant put your own needs first or that you can’t evaluate your involvement over time.
Per usual the EU is dropping the ball in various ways and they should have never allowed Turkey in NATO. If Putin keeps Ukraine out of the EU and NATO he has achieved some of his goals.
I am sure the Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs have played a role as well. I have no idea on that. But we will never be privy to their involvement. My tour guide in Poland had a much better understanding which was interesting.

Bitter, I don’t give a rat’s a** about Putin. I’m not obsessive about the Ukraine/Russia war either, like you seem to be. I realize suffering is a world-wide phenomenon, found in many places outside of Ukraine. I also know that hyper focusing on only one area undergoing tragedy can lead to accelerated dysfunction and chaos in other areas being ignored by such a singular pinpointing of efforts. To me Putin and Zelenskyy are both more invested in their own self interest than the people they govern – each an unfeeling tyrant in his own way, with neither pursuing an end to this miserable war. As for the U.S.’s part in it —-> it’s acting as a 3rd party enabler extending this war at the peril of having it metastasize into a much larger and deadlier one.

Jeff, you made some salient points, especially about the EU dropping the ball, Turkey should never have been allowed into NATO, and the negative involvement of the WEF. However, IMO and observations, Ukraine has had an uneven past with Russia, immersed in it’s own stories of government corruption, human trafficking, bio labs, as well as Biden scandals involving bribes and family money laundering. Despite all the enumerated real and nuanced abuses associated with Ukraine, we continue using little caution or discipline in indiscriminately giving away resources and borrowed money in order to extend the war into Forever Land. I simply don’t like the unhealthy role we are playing between these two countries.

I think that money itself (specifically the ledger that maintains money and whether it stays noncorrupted) super cedes the rule of law.
So a country can have the most pristine judicial system and rule of law, but if the money becomes corrupt this is like the base layer on which ALL of society sits on top of and has been built up.
Hence every layer of law will become increasingly corrupt if the money itself is corrupt.

We all make statements on this blog which others don’t agree with. That’s to be expected. However, how you oftentimes interpret Trump’s nature, his political assessment of leaders around the world is blatantly tainted by a feverish hope RDS can somehow make it out of the campaign mire his consultants created for him.
Trump’s relationship with some of the tyrants you named is based on creating favorable but realistic ties with our greatest enemies. Hence he would acknowledge a trait, like strength, in someone like Putin, while slamming him with sanctions and warning him not to invade Ukraine or else…. It worked. Xi tried to flatter and kiss up to Trump, which was graciously accepted. But, then when it came to trade Trump laid tariffs on him. NK was a hotbed of instability and threats of missiles being fired off. Meeting with Kim, established a baseline of respect, and the tantrum of missiles was diminished. Somehow the aspect of no new wars or invasions under a Trump presidency, a decrease of military losses of life, a new peace accord created in the ME (now destroyed under Biden), is never recognized by you, as you try to make your case for RDS.

If on one hand the Ukrainian troops have been fighting valiantly, it is also true that time and again Zelensky takes political decisions against the sensible military tactical moves.
The siege of Mariupol comes to mind. Even after the situation became hopeless, the leader insisted they had to defend it to the bitter end – in the city, in the Azovstal industrial zone, in the underground tunnels and bunkers.
Or maybe we can talk about Bakhmut, that Zelensky called ‘the fortress of our morale’ – where endless troops were subjected to the ‘meat grinder’ when every Ukrainian military adviser called for a retreat to a better fortified defensive position.
And now there’s Avdiivka, about to be encircled into a new cauldron, but one wants to cut to the chase and talk about the hyped, failed counteroffensive that is said to have cost them 90k troops in just a few months.
I read earlier that Avdiivka’s population used to be around 35,000, and is now down enormously to 2-3 thousand. In the meantime Russia has it encircled by some 40,000 troops, while Zelenskyy is banning any peace talks until Putin is gone. And yet, Bitter and Jason, armchair warriors at best, side with Zelenskyy to “fight on,” calling other opinions to end the war as appeasing Putin.

The US Senate at that time wanted to give the high tech weapons.
Not to say being an unknown of a super power on the world stage didn’t help deter rogue nations during his term. However he was trying to play both sides regarding Ukraine and Russia out of his need to be liked and many intelligence people realized that. He was appeasing Putin by not properly arming Ukraine.
I have zero trust in Biden or Victoria Nuland (CIA opp) and her black ops and color revolution crap that have made the world a less safer place. Biden not demanding accountability for our financial support is on Biden not Zelenskyy. This war is now turning into a WW 1 type trench warfare. Which is very sad to see. As young men who don’t know each other are dying for men that do know each other.
Regarding RDS and his foreign policy. He is correct on the Asia Pacific region being the priority now and for decades to come. Which makes Trumps delusional ideas with NK and China more than troubling. RDS learned a lot in his experience in Iraq. Like go BIG or go home.
