  2. The Epoch Times explains Trump’s net worth “jumped by more than $500 million since he left the White House in early 2021.”

That detail comes from Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which states Trump now is worth $3.1 billion.

Donald Trump: “Kim Jong-un leads 1.4 billion people, and there’s no doubt about who the boss is, and they want me to say he’s not an intelligent man.”

    – First, who knew North Korea had 1.4 billion people. Jason fraud or Tinfoil, did you know that? I guess you’ll have to believe it’s true since conman Donnie said so. Second, I love, love, love the fact so many of you can’t wait to vote for a man who praises Kim Jong Un.

The one thing Trump has done in his eight miserable years on the political scene is he has destroyed the concept of shame. None of you, none of you, feel the slightest bit of embarrassment about voting for this horrible man.

Here is is how I see the race after 3 debates.

Haley has the “establishment” lane all to herself. Christie and Scott will support her. I think she has more of a shot if Trump falters than most people think. Suburban women are gravitating to her and you see it in the polling.

RDS could get squeezed and needs to continue to gain more former Trump voters little by little. Kim Reynolds endorsement is a HUGE help in this regard in Iowa. I wonder what his relationship with a Chris Sununu is like? He is the biggest threat to the DC status quo and the candidate of “change”. Zero candidates will endorse him.

Lawfare aside…Trump will end up with same outcome every other DC January 6th trial victim has had…a guilty verdict…Obviously he has a strong appeal case but that won’t get addressed until after the election. Electability is becoming an issue as I predicted…It would be political suicide if he becomes and remains the nominee. On the slight chance he takes a plea and endorses anyone it’s a toss up between Vivek or Haley.

Keep an eye on Sununu in the coming weeks. I would not be surprised if he pulls a Reynolds as well. Not sure if it will be Haley or RDS.

The polls are meaningless this cycle at this point due to several huge factors. RFK running as an independent, Biden near death and Trump trials…

There are two types of people.

Those that want to support a two tiered partisan type of justice because they think it benefits them politically. The ends justify the means. That is you, someone with the convictions of an earthworm.

Those who think supporting rogue prosecutors and partisan judges for a short term political goal is a slippery slope that will bring about lasting damage to the rule of law. That is me. 22. I saw a small part of the debate. In the 15 minutes or so that I watched, it was clear NBC was interested in attempting to conduct a debate that would produce meaningful answers. As such, I’ve seen that the debate has received relatively high marks from both conservative and liberal analysts.

This stands in stark contrast to the faux debates that FoxNews has conducted. FoxNews has never been interested in a substantive debate. That’s because FoxNews is an entertainment channel and not one concerned with anything approaching hard news. They have always just wanted a spectacle.

Each FoxNews debate in the Trump era, starting with the one in August 2015, was designed to be little more than a ThunderDome. They allowed the audience to be stacked with pro-Trump buffoons and they allowed the crowds to act as though they were at a sporting event.

I’ll be interested to see how NewsNation does with the next debate. Hopefully, the participants will be narrowed to just Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis. Ramascammy should be shown the door and sent off to Moscow and Scott should have the good sense to know the gig is up.

  29. I think it’s mostly a hopeless effort to try and stop conman Donnie, but one of the last ways to do so may be for DeSantis and Haley to form some sort of temporary alliance in the first two contests.

DeSantis focuses solely on Iowa and tells his supporters in New Hampshire to vote for Haley. Haley focuses solely on New Hampshire and tells her supporters in Iowa to vote for DeSantis. Reynolds has already endorsed DeSantis and Sunnunu seems close to endorsing Haley anyway.

If DeSantis and Haley, in what would amount to one-on-one contests with Trump, are able to slow him down or even defeat him, then they can battle each other the rest of the way for the nomination. However, neither is going to come close if they continue to split the non-Trump vote.

I don’t, for minute, expect DeSantis and Haley to form a temporary alliance and I’m not convinced either actually wants to defeat Trump. I think both are playing for 2028 already, but this may be the only chance they have if they’re serious about 2024.

    We heard that before.

I think Trump is a poor choice for the nomination, I wouldn’t say not electable. Nobody really knows what the situation will be a year from today. If Trump is not electable, is Biden electable? The Golden Calf is a much better choice, can be President for 8 years, can be the face of the R party instead of 78 year old baggage ridden Trump.

As far as populism, this already happened. The R base is populist oriented, it is not a matter of discussion. The leadership will slowly realize that the R party can only survive as a big tent party that incorporates working class, blue collar, business owners and minorities and for that to happen it needs a populist agenda. It not the agenda I necessarily agree with, but the R party I joined 30+years ago is not the R party of today. It is not even the party of 10 years ago.

As far as stolen elections, you can believe there were not enough illegal votes for Trump to to make up 42k votes in 3 states with massive VBM, EV, balloting harvesting unsupervised ballot boxes issues or you can believe Trump really lost AZ by 10k votes, GA by 12 k votes and WI by 20k votes.

    Arizona 34,345 / 1.32%
    Colorado 38,437 / 1.38%
    Georgia 7,674 / 0.19%
    Maine_02 6,685 / 1.89%
    Michigan 51,463 / 1.07%
    Minnesota 36,985 / 1.26%
    Pennsylvania 49,941 / 0.81%
    Virginia 27,638 / 0.69%
    Wisconsin 31,072 / 1.04%

Circle WISCONSIN there on that list. All it would take for Trump to win by 3-5 points is for the leftist loons in Madison to go hard after Stein and for Trump to do slightly better among people of color in Milwaukee.

Also Pennsylvania is a much harder path for Biden if Stein siphons off another 50k like last time.

Granted, last time many of these Stein voters voted for her because the leftist media GUARANTEED that Hillary would win no matter what, so they were free to vote their dreams. Many won’t be that stupid this time, particularly if the polls show a tight race.

  46. Jason fraud has embraced populism because it reflects the rage he feels about a world that is not what he wants it to be. Populism in nothing but a rage machine, a screed in human form, that loses at the ballot box. But let’s be clear. Losing is fine with Jason fraud and populists. It allows them to stay angry.

Of course, even after populism accidentally won in 2016, Jason fraud and the other populists still spent the next four years raging against everything, except all of the losing that came in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 strangely enough, because rage is the base state of populists. They’re just angry at the world and they want to stay angry, even after wins.

The populist Republican Party won’t win nationally. Period. End of story. William Jennings Bryan represents the worst era of the Democrat Party electorally and Trump will represent one of the worst eras for Republican electorally. The best thing the party can do is lift up the rock from under which all of the populist filth came and tell them to go back under it. That means Steve Bannon, Charlie Kirk, Candace Owens, and all of the other dirtbags Jason fraud and the populists admire.

A functioning party organized around winning finds and fields candidates that can win over the suburbs. That’s why Republicans did so well for so long. They won the suburbs. Jason fraud hates the suburbs and says Republicans should abandon them, but that’s because Jason fraud has developed an addiction to Trump-fueled losing. He wants a party of, for, and by people whose closest neighbor lives more than a mile away and have contempt for a world that doesn’t look like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting.

For now, though, Jason fraud and his populist buddies are in control. They’ve done nothing but lose and will continue to lose. Probably through 2030. Eventually, though, the losing will become too much, but by the time that happens, the liberal Democrats the populists have placed in near perpetual power will have made irrevocable changes. Of course, that will just give them more reasons to rage.

Additionally the following excerpt from American Thinker also contrasts establishment politicians versus the MAGA populist movement:

”Paul Ryan and Barack Obama agree about almost everything. Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer agree about almost everything. George Bush and Bill Clinton agree about almost everything. And the one thing about which they most agree is this: they all hate MAGA.

If Paul, Barack, Mitch, Chuck, George, and Bill all see MAGA as their enemy, then doesn’t that make MAGA the only true opposition party to Establishment orthodoxy?”

This is also why DJT remans the most viable populist candidate, marginalizing all the other Republican reproductions who took the debate stage last night.

Yetman sprayed the police after they fired rubber bullets on the peaceful Trump supporters standing outside the US Capitol, fired flashbangs on the crowd, gassed the crowd with gallons of pepper spray, and beat the crowd with sticks.

Four Trump supporters were killed that day. One woman, veteran Ashli Babbitt, was shot dead by police. One woman, Rosanne Boyland, was smothered and beaten with a police stick as she died. Two others died from the police ammunition fired down on the crowd.”

I put the above in bold lettering so Bitter could read what happened – that no officers were hurt, that the man’s pepper spray was done at a distance – and yet after almost 3 years they are hunting this honorable man down like a mass murderer. Is this real justice, or is this authoritarian cruelty?

If you see this as just, then I wonder how you would judge those, back in the 1940’s, who opposed (sometimes violently) the taking of Jews. 139. Here is an article by David Harsanyi making the case against the “populist right”.

It is well written and persuasive but it somewhat akin to giving a diagnosis without proposing a cure.

He says Rs are “obsessed” with working class voters, and that the working class is actually shrinking while the middle class is growing. He also attacks some of “economic populism” ideas claiming they are in reality “not conservative”, which btw I agree. I am not a populist, far from it. Trump is a crony capitalist and not a fiscal conservative, but again he is not introducing “populism”, he is a symptom of it.

But Harsanyi makes a lot of mistakes in my view. In the first place, “working class” and “middle class” are not mutually exclusive. People who own small business, contractors, service providers, etc can be middle class but are still “working class”. When I say the R party has to appeal to the “working class”, I am not speaking just about a salaried unionized worker in a factory. And I am not, as Amoral Scumbag claims, ignoring the suburbs, merely making the point the GOP has to appeal to the suburban segment that is not already ideologically part of the growing far left liberal intelligentsia.

Second, he dismisses “Trump’s problems with the DOJ” and “manufacturing plight” as not of interest to suburban voters. He is wrong. Trump’s “problems with the DOJ” are a result of a much larger problem that affects ALL conservatives, which is the weaponization of the government at all levels against them. And while I was never a proponent of “protecting” manufacturing jobs from foreign competition and don’t believe in protectionism, to deny this is an issue for many voters is political suicide.

    Take this quote:

“Moreover, the new right took all the wrong lessons from 2016. Trump’s greatest victories were completely in line with post-1980s Reagan conservatism — a tax cut, deregulation, constitutionalist judges, and tougher stances on crime and lawlessness. But when Trump won Michigan and Pennsylvania in 2016, right-wing institutions convinced themselves that populist messaging was the future. In the meantime, those states are gone, and the GOP is going to end up losing Arizona and Georgia and others, as well.”

Nah. It is exactly the opposite. Only Trump could have provided those “greatest victories” because only Trump could have beaten Hillary in 2016. Those people in those states didn’t elect Trump for tax cuts, they elected him because they saw him (rightly or wrongly) as their champion.

And until they see someone else as their “champion”, they will stick with Trump.

Rural areas have always been Republican. The winning coalition for Rs for decades was suburbs+rural areas, which could prevail against the blue collar+urban vote+minorities.

    All that has changed.

The R base is no longer in the suburbs and suburbs can no longer be counted as being able to deliver the votes needed for Rs to be a national party. Now to win the R party needs blue collar/working class and a reasonable share of Hispanic, Black, Asian and other minority vote.

The truth is, the economy was about to turn around anyway in 1981 due to the lag effect of the Carter-Mondale policies, and Reagan just benefited from this. He is still very likely to get us into a nuclear war, turning the cold war into a very hot war. We would be much better off with Mondale-Ferraro.”
    –Robbie, summer 1984″

Very good. If Ronald Reagan was on the ballot today, Amoral Scumbag would be here trashing him and shilling for Biden.

in 15+ years here, Amoral Scumbag has NEVER even remotely supported any conservatives principles Reagan believed in. Not once. Nada. Zilch. Zero.

There was NEVER a Republican Amoral Scumbag could support on the ballot ANYWHERE in over 15 years, so the idea that he would support Reagan or his ideals is completely ridiculous. In 15+ years here there has never been a Democrat he hasn’t supported for President, Senate or House.

The moral compass of a floating turd.

  171. Good reading for JeffP.

Stefanik has an excellent point. This goes beyond Trump. That is why the TDS morons are stupid to sacrifice principles long term in exchange for some short term vendetta against Trump.

“I write today to express my serious concerns about the inappropriate bias and judicial intemperance shown by Judge Arthur F. Engoron in New York’s lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump and the Trump Organization. This judge’s bizarre behavior has no place in our judicial system, where Judge Engoron is not honoring the defendant’s rights to due process and a fair trial. These serious concerns are exacerbated by the fact that the defendant is the leading candidate for President of the United States, and it appears the judicial system is being politicized to affect the outcome of the campaign.

Simply put, Judge Engoron has displayed a clear judicial bias against the defendant throughout the case, breaking several rules in the New York Code of Judicial Conduct.

This case is so much bigger than President Donald J. Trump. If Judge Engoron can railroad a billionaire New York businessman, a former President of the United States, and the leading presidential candidate, just imagine what he could do to all New Yorkers. Judge Engoron’s lawlessness sends an ominous and illegal warning to New York business owners: If New York judges don’t like your politics, they will destroy your business, the livelihood of your employees, and you personally. This Commission cannot let this continue.”

  173. Appreciate the poll stats posted by DW. Trump actually won more polls than I originally thought he had. While I have never had a hero worship of Trump, what does amaze me about him is his tenacity to withstand all the hostile forces around him, and yet maintain a steady, if not growing, base who stand their ground continuing to support him. Trump’s first rally in FL, juxtaposing the RNC debate, was massive in both size and enthusiastic responses to his engaging speech – so clearly a refreshing contrast to what the establishment republicans showcased on the same night.

I am having I hard time understanding what you think we can do regarding the lawfare and it’s obvious abuse to enact change. I feel like the only thing I can do is accept reality and vote for candidates that will address the judicial abuse.

  182. On this Veteran’s Day I was thinking about the numerous J6 incarcerations that are veterans, now classified as “domestic terrorists,” so they could max out unconscionable long sentences. This has gone on, side by side, with real terrorists crossing freely over our borders, in numbers we don’t even know. Many of these J6 political prisoners have been confined in solitary confinement for long periods of time, beaten, had medicines and medical care withheld, kept in unsanitary conditions and given terrible food. Meanwhile, the unvetted masses coming over the border are given phones, free transportation, housing and even money. It’s all so mind-boggling!

Zelensky now has absolute control of Ukrainian media, outlawed opposition political parties and Ukraine’s Orthodox Church, declared martial law, and uses absolute power under martial law to cancel presidential elections. So much for Biden’s false narrative that the world is in an existential fight to protect democracies from autocracies, wasting billions of US tax dollars.

Until then, she can go back to cheering on the slaughter of Ukrainians and making excuses for Putin’s war crimes.

Oh, yes, and she can GFH.
