I do not handle criminal cases. That said, motions are generally decided by Judges when trial begins and not before. Maybe these motions will be decided sooner. No matter what the Judge does, it will be appealed by the losing side.

I think DeSantis’s last stand will be Iowa, where he has the best chance to resurrect his campaign. He has invested almost everything in this state, visiting all 99 counties and courting the rural areas where he has garnered a lot of support. If he delivers an upset here it could be a real game-changer. In contrast Trump’s strategy has been to nail down caucus votes via small get togethers having rally-like tones. Although he has visited the state numerous times, he has not done the county-by-county work RDS has subscribed to and hopes gives him the win.

Tom Emmer is the best choice to be Speaker and that’s why conman Donnie opposes him. And, yes, Jason fraud will eventually find a reason to oppose Emmer. Trump deification requires him to do so. It’s why Jason fraud defended Fauci over and over in 2020 and 2021 and wanted to give Fauci a presidential medal of Freedom. Trump supported Fauci so Jason fraud supported Fauci.
I’m not breaking any news to sane, normal people, but Trump and his goons in the House like former stripper Anna Paulina Luna don’t want a Speaker who can run the show. They want a Speaker who will bow and scrape to Trump, be a cable news performance artist on FoxNews primetime, and keep the government shutdown as long as possible.
That said, it matters little who gets the Speakership because Republicans are going to be soundly defeated next year. This is basically a rental for the position. More importantly, this version of the Republican Party must be soundly defeated. Trumpism is a virus that must be killed off and I look forward to, hopefully, seeing it end in 2024. If not, I will look forward to seeing Trumpism killed off in 2026 or 2028.

His penchant for appointing people based on ass kissing instead of competency cost him dearly.
Still, I was wrong about him being unfit for the Presidency. Whether by design or by chance, he had great achievements as President, despite a horrible, unethical, and despicable effort to destroy him. Among them conservative SCOTUS and federal bench judges, energy independence, tax cuts, economic growth, record unemployment and job participation including minorities, war on wokeness, and even some border control successes. For this reason I voted for him in 2020 and would vote for him again in 2024, because at the end of the day he is still 100x better than Joe Biden, Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsome.

Where I can agree with the fraud, I will. Yes, Israel waited too long, but I’m not sure they ever intended to have a full-scale ground invasion. From the start, I thought Netanyahu might be bluffing. The language was far too bellicose and Netanyahu has long had a reputation of someone who talked a big game, but never followed through. In the past, Netanyahu has favored keeping Hamas in power because he could use them occasionally as a whipping boy. He’s had multiple chance to ruin Hamas and has always passed on it.
Had Israel launch a full-scale invasion within days, they would have had world opinion on their side. Instead, they dithered and allowed the story to switch from the Hamas atrocities to the plight of the Gazans. Now, any limited invasion will be met with international skepticism and a hostile press that wouldn’t have existed ten days ago.
Now, Netanyahu, maybe on purpose, is allowing himself to get played by Hamas releasing hostages in a drip, drip fashion and the Biden team encouraging a delay for more hostage negotiations. None of this would have happened ten days ago, but, again, I don’t think a leader who wanted to launch a full-scale invasion would have allowed such things to get in the way.
This is the end for Netanyahu and it will likely be a very good thing for Likud. In recent elections, the party might have been able to achieve a huge plurality or even a first ever majority had Netanyahu, currently under indictment, not been the party leader. Netanyahu’s vanity has prevented Likud from moving on to a new generation of leadership. Sound familiar?

Twenty American personnel sustained minor injuries on Oct. 18 when at least two one-way attack drones targeted al-Tanf military base in southern Syria, CENTCOM said.
One of the drones was shot down. All of the wounded personnel were returned to duty, CENTCOM said, and there was no damage to any military installations.
