A party that pretends to care about conservative values but is contemptuous of the quality of life for its constituents

So true about the GOP. The Dems and GOP have definitely morphed into a uniparty in which there are few differences. In fact both parties appear to be working in unison to weaken and take our country down.

Sadly, a large section of the GOP has chosen to abandon its traditional support for support for freedom and opposition to Russian expansion.

Some candidate observations:
Pence’s credibility was demolished yesterday by his remarkably insensitive urgency in supplying Ukraine with tanks before addressing glaring domestic issues in this country.
DeSantis had a “home run” performance in Iowa. However, afterwards when he tried to mimic Trump’s tradition of going to a small owner’s business to mingle with people, it was a filmed “bust.” Like Trump’s recent event in Iowa, where he went to a local Dairy Queen packed with supporters, DeSantis’s Dairy Queen stopover seemed to attract little interest, and was fairly empty except for some journalists.

Bitter, I’m curious why you rarely, if ever, are concerned about China’s expansion. They’re building bases all over the world, including Cuba, where they supposedly will focus on cyber and bio weapons?
Why aren’t you worried how our hyper Ukrainian interventions are literally pushing Russia into the arms of China, forming a formidable alliance, along with other countries effecting trade and perhaps even our reserve currency status?
Why doesn’t it bother you that we are sending armaments and billions of dollars to Ukraine with little accountability as to where it’s going? Already 2 major accounting errors have popped up, creating nothing more than a shrug from the Pentagon. What about taking our pension money and giving it over to pay for Ukrainian pensions?
Are we so secure that we are able to indiscriminately add more to our $30 plus trillion dollar debt, and deplete our own emergency stockpiles of ammo, in lieu of China’s threat to take over Taiwan, and eventually the world?
What about the child trafficking rings that have been uncovered in Ukraine, because of the film release of “Sound of Freedom,” or the bioweapons labs discovered during war operations?
Lastly, what about our government’s promises of no American boots on the ground in Ukraine? Now, they are quietly deploying 3000 “deactivated” national guard (ones who haven’t kept up with military training) to possibly spill young blood in a country far, far away from our own constantly invaded borders.

State of the race
With every passing day it becomes more and more likely that Joe Biden won’t be the nominee of the Democratic Party. It becomes more and more obvious that more and more Democrats don’t want to risk trying to tug Biden’s demented and corrupt ass across the electoral finish line in 2024. If it’s one thing (the only thing in fact) Democrats value is power and retaining that power. The only reason Biden hasn’t already been forced out is that many Democrats still believe that Republicans can’t resist nominating a weakened and entirely beatable Donald Trump. If the prospect of running against Trump wasn’t likely, Joe would already be out.

Really? Biden just raised $75 million in the second quarter alone. I’m not saying he will 100% be the Democrat nominee, but it’s hard to argue it’s becoming clearer and clear he won’t be. Now, had he picked a more competent VP, I think the likelihood he would have stepped aside for that person already would be much higher. For instance, had he picked Klobuchar as he intended to do before the George Floyd riots, I think he would have already bowed out of the 2024 race.

Another reason Biden hasn’t already been forced out is that many Democrats still believe a Biden-Trump race is a back door way of having radical leftist Kamala in the WH. There are seven weeks until Labor Day and I think this time period is going to be pivotal for the Republican presidential race. This two-month stretch may be the last good chance DeSantis has to get his stalled campaign moving again. If he is unable to do so, I think we may see high dollar donors abandon him or start to hedge their bets.
A failure to get his campaign moving may also increase speculation about and interest from Glenn Youngkin. I think it’s very unlikely Youngkin runs, but the murmurs are out there and it seems Rupert Murdoch wants him to run. If DeSantis has to endure a Youngkin boomlet like what we saw about Christie in September 2011, it could cripple him.
Acknowledging there may be nothing DeSantis can do, it would still be wise for him to make the affirmative case for himself and provide his economic vision for the country. The culture was stuff is fine for the base, but its appeal doesn’t really go beyond them as selling point as the Minnesota focus group this week showed.

Agree with Tina that one more slip and fall by Biden convinces Democrats that Biden is just too big a lift for 2024 – even against Trump. Ideally though, they prefer the following scenario:
Biden’s handlers keep Joe in the basement and he muddles through for the next year and a half without falling on his ass.
Trump is the Republican nominee.
Trump continues to be savaged by more and more legal cuts.
Media make the election primarily about Trump enough for Biden to scrape by even with Biden’s sorry record.
Biden dies in office or resigns shortly his after his inauguration making Kamala President.
That dream scenario for Democrats depends on Biden getting reelected in spite of Joe’s dementia, frailty, and continuing incompetence. Hiding both becomes more and more difficult by the day

I’ve been waiting and hoping for the heretic pope, Jorge Bergoglio, to die for the last decade. It’s a losing bet to bank on someone dying. Also, I just can’t see Biden becoming just the second president to resign, especially just to make Harris the president.
He may not run again and he may choose not to finish a second term, but I think both are longshots and I wouldn’t make any strategy based on either happening. I think Biden runs again because he’s waited his whole life to be president and he certainly doesn’t want to pass up what looks like a relatively easy re-election bid against a clown like Trump.

We in comment sections always impute a Machiavellian tendency to politicians, but they’re rarely smart enough to operate in such a fashion.
I think Biden is in it to be president through January 2029, and I think Democrats hope that happens because they’ll want a chance to get a fresh nominee in 2028. More than likely Trump will be the Republican nominee again in 2028 so they’ll be able to pick from a big list of candidates who came to power due the years Republicans committed suicide repeatedly with Trump.
My Guess is Josh Shapiro is the 2028 Democrat nominee and he smokes Trump. Then Shaprio runs against Don Jr. in 2032 and cruise to a second term without much effort.

“Journalists, war-crimes investigators, and specialized groups such as the Reckoning Project have already documented arrests, murders, prisons, and torture chambers in Ukrainian territories under Russian occupation. Slowly, it is becoming clear that these are not just ad hoc responses to Ukrainian resistance. They are part of a long-term plan: the construction of a sprawling system of camps and punishment colonies—a new Gulag.
The new building in the compound of Prison Colony No. 2 is at least two stories tall, separated from the main prison by a thick wall.
This facility in Russia’s eastern Rostov region has gone up since the war started in February 2022, according to satellite imagery analyzed by the AP. It could easily house the hundreds of Ukrainian civilians who are believed detained there, according to former captives, families of the missing, human rights activists and Russian lawyers. Two exiled Russian human rights advocates said it is heavily guarded by soldiers and armored vehicles.
The building in Rostov is among at least 40 detention facilities in Russia and Belarus, and there are 63 makeshift and formal ones in occupied Ukrainian territory where Ukrainian civilians are held…
A Russian government document obtained by The Associated Press dating to January outlined plans to create 25 new prison colonies and six other detention centers in occupied Ukraine by 2026.”

China is laughing at us.
We are ignoring our vital interests, real threats against our national security (like a porous, open border, and China’s menacing presence in Cuba), a military weakened by soft leadership, not refilling depleted armaments, and being way behind China and Russia in building a stronger competitive military, especially in Navy resources
The only resolve we’ve shown is doing the wrong thing. Blinken, our SOS, is humiliated in his talks with China, time and time again. Yellen, our treasury Secretary, scrapes and bows in subservience to her Chinese counterpart, given to even search for her own Chinese restaurant in order to eat, during her last visit to China.
These foreign entities respect a strong counterpart, not a weak one. What we have is a demented president, a country run by social warrior ideology, kowtowing to a Ukrainian president who knows no bounds in holding his hand out for more, as his people get slaughtered. Yes, Putin does not come out of this war looking good either, and maybe he will be overthrown. However, China is weighing our strength and resolve by seeing the haphazard retreat done in Afghanistan, and now a lack of restraint and judgment in dealing firmly with Zelensky’s unrealistic demands of recapturing Crimea, before peace can be considered, with our money, weaponry and now our men/women. And, what this transmits to them is what vulnerable fools we’ve become, which is why they treat us with so much disrespect.
BTW, Bitter, more and more military analysts predict, in our weakened state, we could not win a battle with China over Taiwan.

For instance, I have had reservations about DeSantis, his policies, and especially who he would be inclined to serve – his wealthy donors or the “people.” His speech and answers to Tucker’s questions were reassuring to me. In fact as I was doing chores in the kitchen I listened to a replay of DeSantis, and frankly agreed with most of his positions, especially his more reasonable view of Ukraine, attaching limitations to our unlimited intervention policies, which many here endorse, calling those who don’t Putin sympathizers.
However, I think DeSantis may be making the same mistake Trump made yesterday by not going to the TPUSA convention in his home state today. Yes, Trump is a favorite among that group, but it should be DeSantis’s goal to turn that around by turning in a performance like he had yesterday.

Last year, Flynn changed lawyers and filed a motion to withdraw his guilty plea, partly on the basis that SCO prosecutors improperly withheld from him evidence that should have been produced during the plea discussions in November 2017—including that 302 form.
Why is the 302 such a big deal? Simply put, because it now appears the two FBI agents who conducted the interview with Flynn on which the subsequent false‐statements charge was predicated at first reported to their superiors that they did not think Flynn had been deceitful during the interview and that any inaccurate responses to their questions were the result of a memory lapse, not a deliberate attempt to deceive. If that turns out to be true, then it seems plausible, indeed likely, that that sentiment is reflected in the still‐missing original 302 that the SCO would have been obliged to produce during plea negotiations in November 2017. Among other things, the timely production of such a document to Flynn would not only have strengthened his resolve to continue fighting the charges against him, it would likely have made it all but impossible to convict him of those charges since intent to deceive is an element of the false‐statements crime and must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt to a jury.

Flynn’s guilt was established in a plea bargain. He also took a considerable amount of Russian money. He, in effect, became a Russian asset. But I can see he is the type of person a Putin appeaser would love.

Prosecutors said the two men discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia and that Flynn also asked Kislyak to help delay a U.N. vote seen as damaging to Israel. On both occasions, he appeared to be undermining the policies of outgoing President Barack Obama.”

“WASHINGTON DC, USA – Russian and Russia-linked entities paid President Donald Trump’s former national security advisor Mike Flynn $55,500 for work that included attending a gala with President Vladimir Putin, according to documents released Thursday, March 16.
The retired general, who once headed the US Defense Intelligence Agency, earned $33,000 just to go to the December 2015 party held by RT, the international television agency that the US now says is an arm of Russian intelligence.

Committee chairman Jason Chaffetz, a Republican from Utah, and ranking member Elijah Cummings, a Democrat from Maryland, said it appeared Flynn had not received permission for or properly reported the funds he received from a 2015 speech in Russia and lobbying work his firm did for Turkey.”

The numbers suggest, for first time, that solvency could be a threat to DeSantis’ campaign.

Why don’t young people want to be drafted into the army? Because they know the price of holding the frontlines. It costs thousands of lives,” he added.
Andrii Novak, a Ukrainian lawyer and specialist in military affairs, said that corruption among military recruiters remains rife, and some conscripting officers are playing the system to get rich quick.
“Because of corruption, there are illegal methods (to avoid the war), such as paying off the people from the armed forces commissary, or paying for a false certificate of disability,” he told the French broadcaster.
It is well known that military recruitment offices have become a hotbed of corruption over the last year and a half. In Ukraine, it is no secret that mobilization can be avoided for an average of €7,000. Officers can make incredible fortunes and some do not hide their newfound wealth, arriving at work in new luxury cars.
I’ve posted more than once how corrupt Ukraine is – 3rd in the world, hidden Biolabs, child trafficking, rich oligarchs who give nothing for the war effort, and then there is Zelensky who many here have given hero status. Putin is a known dictator and thug. What may be worse, however, than a real evil dictator is a person who disguises and dresses himself as a hero, but puts innocent youth on the front lines, and wails about wanting more aid to sacrifice more lives. Could it be that all the trauma inflicted on Ukrainian civilians and destruction of their villages and cities lies not only with Putin, but also with the poor leadership and decisions of Zelensky, who has enjoyed the world’s limelight of war and celebrityhood far to much.

Two-thirds of DeSantis’s funding is from big donors. 15% comes from the little people – small donors. He’s fired a dozen staffers, and has a huge burn rate of money. All this is not good news for DeSantis, but it may also harden his resolve to figure out the glitches in his campaign and repair them. What he needs is a loyal base, not lots of money.

No, I think Putin by invading Ukraine, engaging in mass killings such as at Bucha, and indiscriminately bombing cities and killing civilians is the sole cause of Ukraine’s suffering.
Don’t forget that Putin believed he would conquer Ukraine in just three days. The attack failed, and Putin was pushed back Kharkiv and Kherson. Now Putin is on the defensive, and is having to deal with unrest in Russia. And Zelensky leadership throughout the crisis has been inspiring.
By all odds Ukraine should not exist now, as it should be absorbed into Russia. Ukraine continues to exist because of the leadership of Zelensky, and the ability of the Ukrainian people to fight. Meanwhile, there is a real question how long Putin will remain in power in Russia.

As a Jeb! 2016 supporter, I’m very familiar with the problems the DeSantis campaign is facing. When Jeb started to slide in August 2015, I pointed to his fundraising and his well-funded super pac as reasons he was still in the race or could make a comeback. I argued he needed to adjust his message, make the race a one-on-one with Trump, and, most importantly, shake up the staff.
In the end, the dogs just didn’t want to eat the dogfood. Jeb’s campaign was a well-funded bust. That seems to be what’s happening with DeSantis right now. He’s fallen behind badly, his message is muddled, his strategy isn’t working, and his supporters are searching for any piece of data that shows he’s doing fine. It’s not quite the death throes, but it’s close.
To be blunt, the DeSantis campaign isn’t doing fine. If he continues to do what he’s been doing, he’ll lose and lose badly. Haley Barbour said “good gets better and bad gets worse”. Well, DeSantis is getting worse simply because he’s not getting better. He’s got seven months until the first votes are cast, but time’s a wasting.
I think any comeback with DeSantis starts with a change in strategy and a change in staff. He needs to consolidate the part of the party ready to move on from Trump before he tries to pick off voters who will never abandon Trump. Also, he needs staff who can help him make that happen. That’s not Jeff Roe and his gang. He needs people who been part of presidential campaigns.
I hope DeSantis has the guts to shake things up. Otherwise, he may go the way of Scott Walker in 2016 or Rick Perry in 2012.
LikeLike
For those who aren’t aware, Jeff Roe was Ted Cruz’s strategist in 2016. He coined what I like to call the “hug Trump to finish a distant second” strategy that Cruz followed to a T. Now in 2024, Roe has part of his staff running DeSantis’ campaign while he and the rest of his staff run DeSantis’ super pac. Roe controls both sides of the operation. It’s very profitable for him, but that’s about it.
Also, I got to see Jeff Roe do his thing up close and personal this past Spring in Kentucky. He was the chief strategist Kelly Craft’s abysmal primary race for governor. She ran some of the worst ads I’ve ever seen and, despite having an unlimited amount of money (her husband is a billionaire), she finished third behind the Agriculture Secretary who barely had two nickels to rub together.
If DeSantis turfed Jeff Roe, I would give me some optimism about the next few months for DeSantis.

Ukraine exists because Zelensky is sending all available men to fight on the front lines, sometimes with as little as 5 days of training and zero knowledge how to handle the expensive equipment shoveled their way. Without the exorbitant aid we are giving to Ukraine to extend the war, there most likely would have been some kind of peace agreement – not a perfect one – but one, nonetheless that would have saved lives and human misery.
Donetsk.
“On July 5, Ukrainian army generals issued a proclamation dramatically expanding the martial law prohibiting Ukrainian civilian men’s freedom of movement, calling on all those “liable for military service” to remain in their home districts“, writes Amherst professor Charli Carpenter on Foreign Policy, the magazine of the saber-rattling Council on Foreign Relations, where Joe Biden famously boasted about blackmailing Ukraine with $1 billion to get the prosecutor inverstigating Hunter Biden’s company Burisma fired.
“With the Twitter hashtag #UkraineLetMenOut, citizens had already been complaining bitterly about men being unable to leave the country with their families since Russia’s invasion,” Carpenter writes. “After the new proclamation came down, one Ukrainian tweeted, “Now we can’t even leave our cities without permission from military recruitment centers.” Another tweeted, “Animals have more rights in Ukraine than
men.”
Being an armchair warrior, Jason, kind of distorts the reality of war. Working in the VA as an RN, my husband served in the Navy, and our godson was a Marine who sustained a permanent disability, I have no passion for all the collateral damage and heartbreak war does to those serving in the military and the civilians dragged into these conflicts. That last sentence in the excerpt posted – “Animals have more rights in Ukraine than men.” – says a lot about Zelensky’s lack of compassion for his own people. How can you call this man “brilliant!!!”

“Ukraine’s general staff assembled 12 new brigades for the long-anticipated counteroffensive, with nine of those equipped by Nato allies. Just three of them are believed to have been committed to battle so far.”
* * *
“Britain’s top military officer says that is Ukraine’s first goal: starve Russian units of supplies and reinforcements by attacking logistic and command centers in the rear, including with U.K.-supplied Storm Shadow missiles. Ukraine is also trying to stretch Russia’s resources by simultaneously badgering multiple points along the front line, said Admiral Tony Radakin, chief of the U.K. defense staff, earlier this month.
Ukraine’s full-scale offensive will come, he said, when one point on the front line collapses. Kyiv’s reserve troops can then pour through the breach.”

My view on Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine is the situation is a lot like what Great Britain, France, and Germany faced after the battle of the Somme and during 1917. Both sides are just spent. They don’t have the manpower to exploit the other side’s weaknesses and the battles just turn into meatgrinders where little territory is gained or lost. It really wasn’t until the US entered WWI and brought in fresh troops that the stalemate in Western Europe turned in the Allies favor. Absent one side deciding enough is enough, I think the war Putin started just grinds on and it becomes a contest of wills.

By the way, Trump is reputed to have told Putin he would nuke Moscow if he invaded Ukraine. There are benefits to Trump cultivating a reputation as being a wild man — as shown below:
“In a phone call Thursday with golfer John Daly, former President Donald Trump talked about nuclear weapons and threats he says he made to Russian President Vladimir Putin
“They’re all saying, ‘Oh he’s a nuclear power,’” Trump said of Putin on the call, which Daly put on speaker phone at the at the Hoag Classic tournament in California. “It’s like they’re afraid of him.”
A bystander filmed Daly, who took the call while enjoying food and drinks inside the Newport Beach Country Club.
“You know, he was a friend of mine,” Trump continued. “I got along great with him. I say, ‘Vladimir, if you do it, we’re hitting Moscow. I said, ‘We’re gonna hit Moscow.’”
While Trump and Daly were ostensibly referring to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, it’s unclear what Trump was alluding to regarding his conversation with Putin while in office.
“I said, ‘We’re gonna hit Moscow,’” Trump said. “And he sort of believed me, like five percent, 10 percent. That’s all you need.”
Trump’s post presidency office did not return Insider’s request for comment. Insider verified the date and location of the video through the tournament attendee who filmed it and sent the footage to the Instagram account No Pops Golf.
Trump also repeated his claim that Putin didn’t invade Ukraine while he was president because “he knew he couldn’t.””

I think Trump gave a mixed answer, which he’s inclined to do. To Zelenskyy (who is always asking for more armaments) he signaled there would be no more weaponry if he refused a deal leading to peace. To Putin (who wants more land and power) he signaled even more pushback would be given by the U.S. if Putin refused a deal leading to a peace agreement. It was Trump’s opening salvo in messaging a limit line to this war for each country participating in it, something the Biden Administration seems disinclined to do.
Also, Ukraine’s “counteroffensive,” according to the metrics of most, seems to be stalled. The 17% of Ukrainian land mass under Russia’s control has not changed in the last year. The only increases are in the body counts and the destruction of armaments and infrastructure. Foreign fighters are leaving, demoralized by the “horror” of battle.
Sky News international correspondent John Sparks spoke to an Irish volunteer, Rhys Byrne, who has been fighting on the frontline in the east of Ukraine for 17 months and is now leaving Ukraine “due to witnessing atrocities,” Sparks reports. Byrne called the fighting he witnessed “horrific.”
“On ‘Zero Line’ it’s horror. It’s horror. There is just a genocide. It’s slaughter”, says Rhys Byrne, codename ‘Rambo’, a 28-year-old from Dublin. Byrne fought for the 59th brigade in the Ukrainian territorial army, where he operated a heavy machine gun, Sparks reports.
“There are dead people everywhere. Russians dead. Ukrainian people dead…. the biggest problem we get when we’re going into trenches is stepping over all the dead bodies that are already there from the last people [who] went in – that kind of stuff really haunts you.”

Bitter, Trump has been pretty consistent about how he views wars, especially those that pose no national security risks for this country – like, for instance, our open, unsecured southern border does. On that CNN town hall, when asked who he hoped would win, he gave a similarly nonpartisan type answer – something about wanting people to stop dying. So, I just listen and/or read what Trump has been saying about Ukraine all along, which involved no tortured explanation on my part. Consequently, it would be an honest gesture to disband and give back any winnings exchanged on your debunked bet.

Jan – No free lunch. Trump is being a weasel a/k/a politician. Ukraine is a vital national security interest. You either support Ukraine winning or Russia winning. Saying feel good nonsense about just wanting the war to end is not leadership. It is a refusal to take a stand.

It’s true Putin wouldn’t have invades Ukraine if Trump was in the WH. The Russian buildup happened after Biden assumed office. As to Trump being able to end the war in 24 hours that’s pure hogwash.

I’ve given up on the presidential race. Trump’s going to be the nominee and lose to Biden. I just hope we’re able to nominate some high-quality Senate candidates (not Trump bums like Oz and Masters) who can win control of that chamber. I think the House will turn over as well.

And it depends on what it does,’ Biden continued. ‘It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion and then we end up having a fight about what to do and not do, et cetera.’
A reporter followed up – giving the president an opportunity to walk back this blunder.
‘Are you effectively giving Putin permission to make a small incursion into the country?’ she asked.
The president laughed and said, ‘Good question. That’s how it did sound like, didn’t it?’

Biden gaffed in a press conference as he is apt to do. He was criticized for that and deservedly so, but he did not invite Putin to go into Ukraine. Putin was going to do so anyway. You would think if there were any truth to this, Putin would have said America told him it was ok.
On the other hand, in 2016, Trump at a podium publicly said “Russia, I hope you can find Hillary’s emails.” So, anyone who believes the other thing clearly has to also believe Trump invited Putin to meddle in the U.S. election.

Ridiculous apples and oranges analogy, bitter but you know that. What does happen to be a fact is that Putin didn’t move on Ukraine or even start the build up of troops and equipment on the Ukranian border until Trump was long gone, and Biden had bungled the American withdrawal in Afghanistan. Coincidental timing on the invasion? I doubt it but that wouldn’t be provable either now would it?
If you want to give Biden the benefit of the doubt on when the Russian build up and then the actual invasion just happened to occur than have at it. I happen to think Putin smelled weakness in Biden and acted on it.
LikeLike
It’s actually quite simple. When Trump was President, he was actively working to weaken NATO. That is what Putin wanted. He had no need to go into Ukraine at that time. He was playing the long game. When Trump was voted out, the situation changed for Putin.
Putin is worse off now than he was when Trump was President. It would be impossible to suggest otherwise.

This does not excuse the horrible way the U.S. withdrew from Afghanistan under Biden. If Trump had remained President, there would have also been a horrible withdrawal from Afghanistan. Weaknesses would have been on display in both cases, but nonetheless, Putin wanted to go into Ukraine regardless.
Had the U.S. not chosen to support Ukraine or were to withdraw support in any way would be an unmistakable sign of weakness and would very much encourage China to make a move on Taiwan.

I don’t think it was a gaffe. I think he spoke the truth. If Russia had simply used forces to solidify the Russian controlled areas of Donbass and Crimea, there would have been a different response than a full-scale invasion. If Russia had done that, we would have slapped them with a few sanctions but Russia would have remained part of the international community. Should Biden have spoken that honestly. Perhaps not. But, it didn’t stop Russia from a full-scale invasion.

It was dumb to say it either way and if it was true, it would have been a dangerous policy. Biden looked like a complete fool. Nonetheless, Putin already had his mind made up. Even accepting the overall premise that the anti-Ukraine people hold, they have to concede that if nothing else, Putin wound up underestimating Biden on the matter.
After the full-scale invasion, Trump said Putin had acted in a way that was “genius” and “savvy” , so it is clear where his loyalties are and very clear that Putin is desperate not to stop the fighting in Ukraine, no matter how many casualties on either side, because he needs Trump to be President again.

I understand the corruption in the DOJ is off the charts. However it still amazes me that everyone is approaching the GOP primary as if Trump isn’t facing 37 counts in Federal Court. Not to mention the broad January 6th alternative electors scheme investigation. That is a just level of denial I was not expecting. Maybe it will be dismissed. I doubt the trial could be put off until after the election though.
Then you have the Woke Commie Dems (WCD) continue along with Biden a dementia patient as their candidate.
Regardless the Senate is VERY winnable in 2024 and I doubt McCarthy wants to give up the gavel. In the end that will help with the denial.

Its a small sample size, but still DeSantis polling is awful. He has the charisma of a bug, and why is he running? He is trying to be a Trump mini-me, perhaps under the assumption Trump’s candidacy would implode because of the legal issues Trump faces and his age. Has not happened; Trump seemed to thrive on adversity.
