A new thread for Tina! The rest of you can post, too!

Here is my take on the newest indictment of Trump. I think it is political nonsense and dangerous to the future of America. It will not motivate me to vote for Trump in the PA primary since Trump’s appeasement of Putin on Ukraine already made him unacceptable to me in the primary. If he gets the GOP nomination, he gets my vote. If he runs third party, I will not vote for him. By the way,, I also thought the chants of “Lock her up!” against Hillary were also stupid.

  1. The denial is deep and wide for sure. 37 Federal counts and more coming from the January 6th investigation…he will be found guilty on something by a jury and face JAIL time. As long as the Woke Commie Dems keep Trump as the focal point they win.

If the GOP electorate is that stupid to nominate Trump then nothing will change with no accountability in the administrative state. So the rage will have negative impact. He will get no pardon.

Making these corruption issues in the DOJ and FBI all about Trump and nominating him verses campaigning against the abuses in light of the “we the people” will lead to disastrous results all across the board for the GOP.

After listening to the RDS speech last night in NC GOP Convention he gets it. Hopefully he wins Iowa and New Hampshire which I think is a great possibility.

  2. Bitter asked, on a previous thread, if I was becoming a Tgca, I guess because I was questioning DeSantis donors etc, and not immediately swerving away from Trump, discarding him as a viable candidate. Like I already said, in 2016 Trump was my last candidate of choice. Eventually my Trump vote was not an endorsement, but rather a vote against HRC. Trump’s presidency, though, proved to be far better than expected, his policies mirrored many of my own, and his perseverance. in lieu of a constant barrage of attacks and investigations, was admirable. Yes,,as a political neophyte he made tons of bad personnel decisions, was not able to complete the promised wall, or drain the swamp….much. But, like Amanda Head, co-host of John Solomons “Just The News,” pointed out…although Trump didn’t drain the swamp he did lower the water level enough for people to see the corruption and bias that has been going on for years.

Despite the fact that DeSantis looks good, sounds good, and is trying hard to appeal to Trump voters, some of the folks donating to and decorating his campaign blitz are concerning. Even during the 2022 midterms, I was surprised when DeSantis pulled out of a much-anticipated Lee Zeldin’s fundraiser event, saying he had to attend the funeral of a fallen officer instead. Later, it was revealed it was because he was meeting with a big donor who was also supporting Zeldin’s opponent, Kathy Hochul. He also has been close to people associated with Dominion Voting Machines, and now lobbyists representing Chinese business. To me these are just as important red flags to be considered as are the new questionable and, IMO, politically motivated indictments facing Trump. Consequently, I am intending to post what I feel is relevant to making the best choice possible for a 2024 presidential nominee, no matter who the criticism or praise falls on.

  3. I won’t be voting for Trump in the primary either, bitter. You and I disagree on Ukraine so that issue won’t of course be my reason. My reason is similar to Jeff’s. I think the cuts suffered by Trump make him unelectable in the general and we can’t afford another four years of Biden or Harris. It would be a disaster for this country. The indictments and upcoming trials, while ridiculous and political persecution, WOULD take their toll in a GE….. so my vote will be strictly strategic.

  5. Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Tgca is a sad and broken little clown. I would be embarrassed to agree with him on anything. His Trump obsession is mass-shooter level dangerous.

  7. I bet Tgca he was on here thinking the election results would be overturned on Jan 6th and Trump was going to be installed as President after January 20th, 2021…I wasn’t on her after the election in 2020 for several months.

  8. Well Trump can run for President behind bars. That would be some crazy happening’s. They should start polling that. It’s definitely more possible than several other candidates running.
